We loved staying on Edisto Island. There is so much natural beauty to see. The house was nice, and its location was great. We had five bedrooms. Vacasa Property Management was excellent.

The house being located directly on the beach was wonderful. The decks overlooking the beach/ocean were great for morning sunrise views and for shaded area hangout when not wanting be directly sitting on beach. Pet-friendly policy was wonderful; the dogs were able to enjoy vacation as much as we did.

We really enjoyed staying at KC’s. It is very convenient to everything. On a nice stretch of beach that is just steps from the house. Our dogs enjoyed the dog friendly beach. Our first visit to Edisto but hopefully not our last.

Great time at the beach

We had a great time at KC’s beach house. It’s right on the beach with a great deck. While the house is a bit dated, who cares! Everything worked, the management company was excellent and the location is incredible.

Great location with plenty of room

This a large home with plenty of space and right on the beach which we loved. Lots of beach equipment too. The home is getting a little tired and could use some updating and maintenance. But it is a rental. Overall we found it a good value for our group.

Amazing location, house is just okay

The location is great, with very easy beach access. The back deck is probably only 50ft from the ocean at high tide, and the decks provide excellent views and has nice tall chairs to relax in. Pet friendly is a big plus. The house itself is a bit dated, and has many maintenance issues, some fairly serious. If the maintenance issues are addressed this would be a five star property.

Location was a 5. House was not very clean and in need of some attention. I. E. Big light over inside stairs was glued and taped together and when putting in a new bulb local contractor refused to clean all the bugs out. And rod that holds shower curtain in main bath was taped together with blue tape. Owner or someone needs to pay attention to things like this if you want to continue charging high rates. We give house itself a 3. Medium rating therefore a 4.

Nice place with managed expectations

The home is nice and we had a pleasant stay. However, the house is not up to the beauty of the pictures. The appliances and kitchen are dated and both the dishwasher and garbage disposal had issues during our stay that required maintenance. There are bugs though this is likely because of location. There are no amenities for beach enjoyment (chairs, Frisbee, buckets, beach towels, etc); you can purchase these items locally but they are pricey. Overall a nice time, lots of bed space.

Edisto 24

All went well with exception of Hurricane Debby. We hid in the stairwell twice. There was no major damage, but we had water come in through all the 6 doors on the Atlantic side because they didn’t seal properly. The bedrooms were nice. Shower curtain in downstairs needed be rod. It kept falling down.

Another great week on Edisto

My family and I have been coming to Edisto for 18 years now, we have stayed in many beach front homes, old and new. This is the first home we have booked that is pet friendly and I was nervous about the smell or signs of pets in the home (stains, fur, etc). This house didn't have any signs of pets and was very clean. This home is older and not as updated as many homes that we have stayed in, but we had a great week and it had most everything we needed. Things to keep in mind- I would bring dish towels and oven mitts (non on the property). I would bring all your own seasonings and oils (some homes are well stocked in this area, but this home didn't have). Outdoor shower drips so not really usable but they do provide a hose under the house and on the main porch, which is super useful and we loved having. The most disappointing thing is the porch, when it rains. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the porch and watch the rain, but the upper porch has gaps between the boards and the everything gets soaked below it. We normally would leave towels and beach bags etc on the porch even if it rains and in other homes, they never got wet. We played games inside when it rained but we love doing that outside on the porch and enjoy being outside. This alone would have me book another home in the future, but if they can get that fixed, we would def book here again. When it is not raining, the porch is amazing and oddly the sun doesn't shine through those cracks, so you get shade you need. The furniture on the porch is awesome, maybe my favorite of all the homes we have stayed. We were overall happy with the home. Just providing some feedback that I think would improve it and make it a great stay :)
