The house lived up to its name. We were two families traveling with adult children, ten total. The kitchen and linens were stocked and the layout was great for us. Bedrooms were large w private baths each. Lots of porches and parking spaces. We noticed at check-in the second fridge and main floor den ceiling fan were not working. We requested maintenance and they were there within two hours (on July 4th). Got the fridge working but were not able to get the ceiling fan working. He was to order part Monday and get back to us but never did before our departure on Thursday. Luckily, we brought personal fans and there was a spare fan provided by host in the den. The bunk room on the ground level did not have air-conditioning vents and the host provided fans; however, the space was too hot and not usable other than as a bathroom. Luckily, we brought our own air mattresses and were able to inflate them in the large bedroom as the “girls” space. Prior to arrival, we sent 3 emails to mgt company; after no response we called them for info. Very responsive week prior and while there. Would recommend and stay there again just beware bunk space isn’t habitable in July. Bring fans and air mattresses. Thanks for opening up your home. We hope to be back!

We're glad The Fun House lived up to its name and that the kitchen, linens, layout, large bedrooms with private baths, porches, and parking worked well for your group. We apologize for the inconvenience with the second refrigerator and the main-floor den ceiling fan. While we're pleased our maintenance team reached you within two hours on July 4th and got the fridge working, we're sorry the fan repair wasn't completed or communicated before your departure. We will review this with our maintenance team and the owner to ensure the part is ordered and follow-up communication improves. We're also sorry the ground-level bunk room lacked usable AC vents and was too warm. Thank you for letting us know — we will evaluate the ventilation/air-conditioning in that space and consider better cooling solutions for summer stays. We appreciate the note about delays with pre-arrival emails and will work to improve that communications process.
