Great property w views. Would have liked more info or pics on website of the step up to upstairs bathroom, kitchen/living room and downstairs bedrooms stairwell as we had 2 people w mobility constraints. The property manager did give us all info when we asked but may be an issue for some who didnt ask and just went by pics on website. Other than that that a great property for us!

A wonderful retreat!

The property has everything you could possibly need and is in a wonderful location. Although the home is a little older, we were very comfortable. It was a wonderful retreat for our family of three!

Relaxing stay

Great home with charme. Great location, nice views. All you need was there, a dishwasher was missed in the beginning, but wasn‘t really a problem . We all enjoyed our stay very much.

This is a great home nestled in the trees on the ocean! Doesn’t get much better than that!!

So close to everything and wonderful mid century modern original home! Loved it!

Very private and peaceful

This is a great location in a private setting. You can fish off the dock or be "in town" in a matter of minutes. This is our second time staying in this house and it won't be our last!

Peaceful spot

Wonderful location. Great deck. Nicely stocked kitchen. Short wooded walk to dock and float. We spotted a lobster and many crabs.

Amazing stay

Such a beautiful, clean home. We where so excited when we walked through the doors and sad to leave. There was so much privacy and the surrounding town is adorable. Thank you providing such an amazing home to relax and have a great stay! I hope to find myself back here in the future.

Perfect vacation location

Loved the setting. The view of the bay, the proximity to one of the best seafood restaurants and the nostalgia. It's a short drive form Booothbay and 3 miles from the supermarket. Because of its woodsy location, have plenty of bug repellent on hand.

Perfect getaway in a beautiful home and Privaye dock ♡

I loved the private dock, the open concept house layout, the beautiful woodwork and ceilings. It was secluded and private. Exactly what I was looking for

Beautiful older house and great location!

Overall, everything was lovely- beautiful water front property, well stocked (games, puzzles, books, kitchenware) and lovely artwork too! There are some quirks about an older waterfront home- a bit musty and damp indoors.

Hi, Shannon! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at Linekin Bay Lookout. There is a dehumidifier constantly running in the home to help with the damp. Thank you!

Cosy, but car dependant

The house was nicely equipped, beds were comfortable, view of bay nice. Not pedestrian or bike friendly, however, and the photos don't show how far down it is to the water.

Great views!

The property was perfect - and the views from the porch and dock were amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. We went to Coastal Botanical Gardens to see the trolls, walked along the end of Ocean Point Road and admired the views, had a delicious lobster roll at the Lobsterman's Wharf and pizza from Boothbay Harbor House of Pizza. Not great response from the property manager (Vacasa) but other than that, we would recommend this spot.

Secluded retreat

The house was lovely. The view was nice. It was great to see the ocean from the dock down the hill at the house. In July or August I could have gone for a quick swim off the dock. My only negative is the bedrooms in the basement are musty.

Mostly great

Well provisioned, ample space, quiet, great view of the bay. Lower level is damp this time of year despite running the dehumidifiers. Really nice place that could have used a little more attention this time ahead of our arrival.

Great view

We manage vacation rentals in Hawaii so we know what to expect. I was extremely surprised to see how clean the house was as a have a high standard. The bed was comfortable as well as the whole house. Enjoyed seeing some local wild life on the property and walking through the woods down to the dock. We would rent here again. Aloha and Mahalo

Old home with nice views

This house has great views, a nice dock and was in a good location in Boothbay. The basement was musty; it cleared out a bit by the end of our stay, but with an older home that’s rented I would think the owners would provide a permanent fix. The basement also needed more than one dehumidifier - it was humid and moist for our full stay, so the upstairs was the only enjoyable area.

By far the worst house we have ever stayed in!!!!

This house needs a lot of TLC and DEEP cleaning. The mildew will chase you out of the house which it did for us!!!
Response from VrboOwner on 19 Aug 2025
Hi Lynda, thank you for sharing your feedback. Since your stay, the house has been fully renovated, including a brand-new basement with new floors, updated bathrooms, and a dehumidification and air purification system. We’re confident these updates have created a much fresher and more comfortable space, and we’d love the chance to welcome you back to experience the improvements.
