We're thrilled to host you at our Mediterranean Haven! Please take a few minutes to review the important information below to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

CLEANING EXPECTATIONS & FEE TRANSPARENCY
In accordance with California short-term rental law (AB 2202), we’re committed to transparency about cleaning responsibilities and potential fees.

Our standard cleaning fee covers:
General tidying and sanitation
Laundry of used towels and bedding
Basic reset of the property

To avoid additional cleaning charges, we kindly ask that guests:
Take out all trash to the designated bins
Load and run the dishwasher (or hand wash dishes)
Leave used towels in the bathroom or laundry basket
Report any spills, damages, or maintenance issues immediately

EXTRA CLEANING FEES MAY APPLY IF:
Excessive trash or mess inside the home — $70–$140
Heavily soiled or stained linens/towels — $25 per item
Bleach or deep cleaning for mattress pads or linens — $40–$60
Carpet or furniture stains — $50–$100
Biohazard cleanup (vomit, bodily fluids) — $90–$170
Unapproved pet/service animal messes or excessive hair (see Pet Policy)
Lingering smoke or strong odors — $275–$475
Outdoor areas left dirty (trash, spills, etc.) — $25–$50

Fees are only charged when necessary and fully documented with photos/invoices.

GUEST POLICY & MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
Max occupancy: 6 overnight guests
No unregistered guests allowed overnight
Day visitors are welcome with host approval only

UTILITY CAP: Guests staying 30+ days have a $350 cap on utilities. Any amount over will be charged to the guest.

PARTIES / EVENTS / UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS POLICY
No parties, events, or unauthorized guests
Quiet hours: 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Violations will result in:
$650 fee for unauthorized parties, events, or guests
Immediate cancellation with no refund
Decorations: No wall hangings or decor without prior approval. Guests are responsible for any damage.

No garage parking for trucks, SUVs, or vehicles with roof racks—avoids door damage.
No parking in front of neighbors’ homes or driveways

TRASH POLICY
Trash day: Tuesday
Please place trash in the bins before check-out
Sort trash accordingly
Overflowing trash after short stays may incur a $150 removal fee

PET POLICY
No pets allowed – homeowner has severe allergies
Violations will result in a $550 fine. If you have a service animal, please contact us first before booking.

RESPECT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
No loud music or boomboxes
Don’t allow noise to carry beyond the property
Keep windows closed at night—sound travels!

FIRE POLICY
BBQ grill available
– Never leave it unattended
– Fully extinguish after use
– No trash, food, or lighter fluid
– Keep kids at a distance
No outdoor fires or campfires

SMOKING POLICY
Strict no smoking anywhere on the property
$550 fine for any violation

THERMOSTAT SETTINGS
Thermostat range: 68–75°F
Open windows/doors for fresh air—but close them when A/C or heat is running

LAUNDRY ROOM
Washer & dryer inside
Available for guest use during your stay

NO MAIL DELIVERY
This is a vacation rental — no personal mail or packages should be sent here

DISHWASHER TIPS
Please scrape food before placing items in the dishwasher
Use the garbage disposal while rinsing
Notify the host if any glass breaks inside the sink
Improper use may cause clogs and result in repair charges

CLOGS & SERVICE CALLS
If a toilet or sink gets clogged during your stay and it wasn’t like that before, we’ll need to send someone out. $75 minimum call-out fee for unclogging, plus an extra repair fee if special equipment beyond a plunger is needed.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT POLICIES
Early check-in and late check-out may be available if there are no guests before/after you
No late check-outs past 12:30 PM

For guaranteed late checkout (e.g., red-eye flights), book an extra night
Cleaners arrive promptly at 11 AM on checkout day
Full checkout instructions will be sent the day before departure
REQUIRED FOR SECURITY: Close and lock all doors/windows before leaving. Leaving the property unsecured may result in a $100 fee.

FORGOT SOMETHING?
You have 48 hours to contact us to retrieve items
We’re not liable for lost items, but our team will do our best to locate them after check-out. $50 trip fee + shipping at guest's expense.
After 48 hours, items will be donated
