About the host
Hosted by Xander Keller
I’m from Fort Collins and love getting to share a little piece of this place with people who come to stay at The Nest. I love creating spaces where people can find some ease, rest, and room to breathe.
When The Nest isn’t being used as a short-term rental, we host small retreats here centered around grief, writing, creativity, and song. I love that welcoming travelers here is another version of that—people get to make the space their own, whether they’re coming to explore Fort Collins, visit someone they love, work, create, or just have their own little retreat.
I grow food and flowers here and, when the garden is giving, I love sharing some of that with guests. Mostly, I love knowing that The Nest can be a safe, cozy place for people to land and rest for a while.
Why they chose this property
i work at CSU and love how close it is to campus, old town, and pretty much everything in town. I love to walk along the spring creek path in the neighborhood and stroll through the Trial Gardens.
What makes this property unique
I love the character of old houses but can't usually live in them because i am sensitive to mold and lots of other things. I was so in love with this house built in 1941 that had been totally redone with such care that I can live here! Also i was obsessed the the gardens
