Step outside to enjoy the covered deck surrounded by towering trees. Challenge the family to giant Connect Four, relax with your morning coffee, or unwind under the string lights in the evening with friends and family.



For guests looking to explore the outdoors, the home also includes paddleboards for lake adventures during the warmer months.

The Space:

This multi-level cabin is located in a quiet mountain neighborhood surrounded by trees, creating a peaceful and relaxing setting.



The main living area features vaulted wood ceilings, comfortable seating, and a cozy wood-burning stove. Large sliding glass doors open directly onto the deck, bringing in natural light and forest views.

Black Cedar Retreat is located in Mi-Wuk Village, a quiet mountain community just a short drive to Twain Harte, Pinecrest Lake, and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Guests have easy access to dining, hiking, boating, skiing, and year-round outdoor activities.



After signing your check-in form, you will receive access to the guest guidebook with local restaurants, activities, and recommendations.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended for easy access to the home and surrounding areas.



During winter months, 4-wheel drive or tire chains may be required depending on conditions.



Other Things to Note:

If anything is broken or not up to your expectations upon arrival, please notify us right away so we can make it right.



As outlined in the Terms and Conditions, Twain Harte Rentals provides one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, two trash bags, a sponge, dish soap, and dishwasher pods if the home has a dishwasher, to get you started. We recommend arriving prepared with any additional supplies you may need.



You will receive a message prior to arrival with information on where to purchase firewood if the home does not provide it.



Wi-Fi is provided but not guaranteed. Mountain internet can occasionally be spotty.



External cameras are located outside the home for security purposes.



Basic cooking items such as oil, salt, and pepper are not guaranteed.



Winter travelers should check road conditions prior to arrival.
