About the host
Hosted by Erika Kellar
We live in Mcewen, Tennessee. We love hosting and seeing others enjoy all of the greatness rural Tennessee has to offer. Hosting truly brings us so much joy when others share their happy experiences they have had as our guests. Our cozy creekside guest house is nestled right here on our farm. We’ve poured our hearts into creating a one-of-a-kind getaway where guests can slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple things in life. Like many of our guests, we love starting the day with a cup of coffee on the porch, watching the farm come to life as the sun rises. Afternoons are often spent exploring the creek, spotting deer, wild turkeys, and other Tennessee wildlife,. As the day winds down, there’s nothing better than firing up the record player in the speakeasy with a glass of wine or whiskey and reconnecting with one another or heading out to the creek for a bonfire and stargazing. Some of our favorite memories have been made right here, and it’s our hope that you create lasting memories here as well.
Why they chose this property
There is nothing that can replace the peacefulness of the quiet countryside. The abundant amount of wildlife that can be seen out the window or while sitting on the back porch is simply magical. Relaxing creekside and wading or swimming in the creek on a warm summer day is beyond refreshing. Sitting by the creekside firepit and warming up on a cool fall/winter evening and staring up at the stars is simply out of this world.
What makes this property unique
A 1930’s theme speakeasy hidden behind a shelf complete with record player, moody lighting and 1930’s themed hats/overcoats for a fun whimsical photo-op can be found within the home. Outside the home is a creek, firepit, abundant wildlife and complete privacy.
