This 1-bedroom cabin with loft comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests and is ideal for a weekend getaway, ski trip, or quiet retreat in nature.



Located just steps from resort amenities including a pool, playground, mini-golf, and more, you’ll have plenty to do without ever leaving the area.

This property was fantastic! Views are spectacular. Jacuzzi is perfect for sore legs after a day of hiking! Within 30 minutes or so many outdoor or shopping opportunities. Perfectly located between Canaan and Blackwater Falls. We are already planning a trip back soon!

The cabin was clean & very cozy. It had everything we could need or want when traveling. The view was beautiful morning, noon & night. We had plenty of parking. It made a great place to come back to after spending the day taking in the local, beautiful sights. The host responded to communications quickly & also checked in to make sure things were going well.

Comfortably appointed respite near amazing views

The property felt like home. The host was very welcoming and generous. A great notebook was created to give you comprehensive information about everything you needed to eat great food and have great adventures. We came for a quick two night getaway to explore the Blackwater State Park and the cute Davis downtown. When we were done exploring, we could relax on the deck to look at the mountains or sink into the comfy couches and take a nap. There was even a yoga mat that I used to do yoga in the early morning mountain sunshine 🌞 My only regret is that the trip was too short.

The cabin was quiet with great views. Being part of the resort was nice as we used the pool several days. Nice that it is close to Davis, Thomas and Blackwater Falls and to the Canaan Valley resort. Stop by the visitor center, they gave great tips about the area.

Excellent location, the views from the deck were scenic. The cabin is close to nearby towns with shops and dining. The address was incorrect so we ended up at the wrong location. It is Wilderness Way not Lane. There is an espresso machine but not a coffee maker as advertised, we could not find a blow dryer either.

Beautiful cabin. The internet was out my entire trip though so it was difficult to communicate with who I needed to while away or hop on the computer for work because my laptop wouldn’t connect to my hotspot because of the service availability. Tv didn’t work either but just embraced the wrap around porch :)

I grew up skiing and in a rural environment. This area affords the best skiing in the mid-Atlantic area, and Black Bear Resort is a true four seasons resort.
