This authentic 100-year-old retreat offers the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience, located less than two miles from the shops, restaurants, and marina of downtown Harbor Springs. You’ll feel tucked away in nature while still being close to everything—and enjoy a beautiful bluff view of Lake Michigan.

Thoughtfully updated with modern comforts, the cabin features central heating and A/C, a cozy gas fireplace, Wi-Fi, YouTube TV, new stove, refrigerator and washer/dryer, as well as a charming clawfoot tub with shower. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to dine in, or you can unwind outdoors around the firepit with Adirondack chairs or fire up the grill. With one queen bedroom and one full bedroom, the cabin comfortably accommodates up to four guests.

Nature lovers will appreciate nearby beach access just minutes away at Thorne Swift Nature Preserve. You’re also a short drive from the mile-long shoreline at Petoskey State Park and two public beaches in town.

Cute cabin, comfy beds, beautiful yard - everything our family needed to relax and feel "away," while being close to all the activities in Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Kids loved seeing wildlife and enjoying a campfire.

This is a beautiful cozy cabin full of history and charm. The host communicated above and beyond to confirm our stay was excellent. The property was well maintained. We appreciate the central air conditioning with the muggy damp lake weather. The location was close to shopping and restaurants and has a view of the water. The cabin was very clean and came well stocked. There is an amazing stone fireplace and authentic vintage decor. I would highly recommend this property and give it a 10 out of 10.

"Step back in time...". As soon as you lift the latch on the door and let it swing open, you feel as though you've walked through a portal. Back to a simpler time in the northwoods. Decompression begins. Breath slows down. You're embraced in a space where the walls mummer of stories from the past. Words of encouragement to let go and unwind are whispered. It truly is a magical place.The Dancing Bear is amazing! Location, amenities, appointment of details and modernized updates are remarkable, while preserving the integrity of a 100 year old cabin with intention. The listing's description is most accurate and tells of all the comforts and conveniences better than I can. Read it, let it sink in and be prepared for one of the best stays you'll ever have.The hosts are extraordinary! Communication was stellar! Our comfort as guests was indeed a priority and they care about the guest's experience.Loved it so much, we've already made plans to go back in the Fall.Thank you so much, Sarina & Dewey, for a lovely lovely stay!!

Clean cabin with great character - my wife love all the accent lamps that lit up the knotty pine. Great location on the Tunnel of Trees - our 4 day stay included Harbor Springs, Petoskey, and Charlevoix!
