Very nice amount of space, super clean, lots of toys for kids, terrific and spacious hot tub. Really enjoyed our stay. One thing to know is that you can hear noise from highway 9, even though the house is pretty far from it.

Perfect Mountain Retreat
Whether you are looking to relax in nature at a beautiful, secluded home or looking for a place to rest in between enjoying all the outdoor activities in Alma, this home is the perfect place for you! Equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including unplugging fully (there is excellent WiFi but no signal if you really want to be off the grid). We really enjoyed spending our holiday weekend here, thank you!
The cabin is situated on the side of a mountain in Alma, CO. A perfect location for peace and quiet yet close enough to Alma, Fairplay, and Breckenridge for short to all-day excursions. This spacious cabin has plenty room for the whole family. If you're looking for a base of operations for your outdoors vacation, this cabin will not disappoint. I look forward to my next visit.

Can't wait to come back! 🌄
The house is nicely secluded, surrounded by aspen and pine forest, with a view of the surrounding mountains. The property was clean and it was easy to enter, we enjoyed the open room and deck, and spent the nights looking at some of the best stars I've seen! Being in such a quiet area and just a half hour drive away from Breckenridge was great, it was nice to hike through placer Valley one day and explore the ski town the next. Almart is the local grocery store, a few minutes from the house, and has most essentials that one may need. A great place to get away, relax and have fun 👍
Beautiful property. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and looking up at the stars. House was well equipped and everything was in excellent condition. Super soft sheets! Only issue was very limited internet, sometimes none at all. But otherwise a wonderful house to rent.
The large main living area is lovely as is the deck. The kitchen had everything needed and more! Thanks for all the little extras in the pantry. That was a nice surprise. The beds were very comfortable and nice linens. Perhaps the only downside for us (seniors) was that all bedrooms were accessible by stairs. With 3 nice bathrooms, we wrongly assumed one bed would be on the main floor. Very secluded, quiet and lovely setting and the hot tub was easy to access and operate. Thanks for a lovely stay. (We think a bear may have gotten into one of the trash bins before we arrived, but that was kind of exciting for us! Easy clean up with rake and bags there).

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the spacious main living area, well-equipped kitchen, and those peaceful moments out on the deck. It sounds like you truly embraced the beauty of the setting, and what an experience to spot signs of a visiting bear! Encounters with the local wildlife are always a reminder of how special and natural this mountain escape is. For future stays, we wanted to share that the home does have two sets of queen bunk beds and a full bathroom on the ground floor, offering an option for guests who prefer to avoid the stairs. Being situated at the end of a cul-de-sac at over 10,500 feet means the mountain breeze occasionally brings bits of wind-blown litter, though thankfully that’s quite rare. We’re so glad you found the home comfortable and welcoming and hope we’ll have the pleasure of hosting you again soon!
The place smelled like dog urine nearly everywhere we were., even in the bedrooms. This was advertised as pet friendly. My home never smelled like that. The leather couch has urine smell too not allowing reclining on it. We liked the location but at 70, I find the three stories a bit much. I hope you can clean the for up as this is an attractive site for a family. Very easy access to with Alma/ Fair Play or Breckenridge. Get some better beds. Beds are everything to travelers like us. Clean up the yard trash. WiFi was adequate but television was iffy.
