The property was in a very nice quiet gated community with nice neighbors. The house was very clean and perfect for what we needed. The community pool was very nice. Any questions or concerns I had was taken care of promptly. Would definitely recommend and if we are down that way again would rent again.

A very inviting pet friendly home. Great layout for our group of 10! A pool and crabbing area helped entertain our younger travelers and the relaxing screened in back porch was a wonderful place to have a cup of coffee and some fresh air. Our host, Nathalie was very pleasant and very responsive with any questions. We hope to stay again in the next few months.

Host was fantastic. Very quick to respond when we reached out. The house was perfect and exactly as described. Beds are super comfy, everything was very clean and it was pretty well stocked for our needs. Screened porch was the best for bug free evenings. Pool was a 2 minute walk and really nice. Neighborhood is really nice and very quiet. 5 minutes to dining, grocery store, gas and 25 minutes to the boardwalk. We will be saving this one for next time!

We love to host. When the house is not rented this is also our vacation house.
We are transplants to Delaware from Virginia. We love the natural beauty Delaware offers. There is so much to explore and so much for every age and interest.

Why they chose this property

Angola by the Bay is a gated waterfront community in Lewes DE. The community has a lot of tall trees and trails to walk on and quiet roads to ride your bike. It is also an amenity rich community with a pool, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, a bocce ball court, table tennis and many more. One can easily walk to the waterfront where you can go fishing and crabbing, and go on the bay with your paddle boat or kayak, or just to watch the sunset.

The community is close to restaurants, outlet shops, and of course the beaches of Delaware, Rehoboth, Lewes, and Cape Henlopen.

Lewes is the first town in the first state. Stroll along the old town and wharf, and go to one of the best farmers markets in the nation on Saturday mornings.

What makes this property unique

The house is a few yards away from the community center and the pool. Through the woods behind the community center will make your way to the marina.
When the house is not rented out, this is our vacation home, and we would like our guests to feel the same as well.
The house has a reverse osmosis filter in the kitchen and we minimize use of plastics. We also made sure there are a number of gathering spaces to enjoy the company of your group
We also offer some traditional and board games, an acoustically excellent blue tooth audio system to enjoy your music and a number of books on birding and a pair of binoculars. DE is home to hundreds of species of birds and unique ecosystems.
We also love to drink tea and coffee and offer it to you.
The backyard is also fenced for your furry family member.
