About the host
Hosted by Ryan McIntosh
My wife and I spent our early years traveling the West Coast, working with horses and meeting people along the way. Later, she became a nurse and I became a contractor, and we eventually settled here looking for a place where we could get back to our roots and raise our kids in a great environment. Rogue River Reserve has given us that—horses, the outdoors, the river and the opportunity to welcome people again. Hosting lets us share a place and a way of life that have become very special to our family.
Why they chose this property
We chose this area because it gave us the space and resources to create the life we wanted for our family. The property’s water rights, open land and room to roam were a big part of what drew us here. We also loved having multiple homes on the property, giving us space for relatives to live nearby and a place to welcome friends and guests. It offered the rare combination of water, space, family and community we had been looking for.
What makes this property unique
Rogue River Reserve is more than a vacation rental—it’s a 146-acre Southern Oregon destination on the Rogue River, with approximately ½ mile of river frontage guests can explore and fish from. Guests can also enjoy our private 5-acre fishing pond by boat, swim in the saltwater pool, walk the Reserve, watch wildlife and access thousands of acres of adjoining public land. With open meadows, horses, cabins and tipis surrounded by nature, it’s a place to fish, explore, reconnect and truly experience the Rogue.
