EXCLUSIVE LUXURY VILLA - STUNNING VIEW - PRIVATE POOL

Villa Dias is located on the edge of the pretty village of Kaligata in the exclusive Livathos Region. It benefits from a large elevated garden site complete with shady olive and fruit trees and enjoys breathtaking views down to the Ionian Sea. Villa Dias has its own private infinity swimming pool (9m xx 5m) and is finished and furnished to the highest standard. It comprises two twin bedrooms and one double, all with luxury ensuite wetroom style bathrooms, and a large open plan living area with a modern fully equipped kitchen.
Covered terraces provide shaded areas from which to enjoy the beautifullylandscaped gardens and stunning view. We have designed Villa Dias to ensure that this beautiful uninterrupted view can be enjoyed from all bedrooms and the main living areas.
WI-FI internet access available.


Getting to Kefalonia: We can advise guests of which airlines fly to Kefalonia, and suggest websites to try.
At present, out of season access is via Athens, with an internal flight (or ferry journey) to Kefalonia.

About Kefalonia: Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands, unspoilt, very friendly, with a beautifully varied landscape.
The island's beaches offer something for everyone-sandy or pebbley, safe or wild, deserted coves or bustling, all with beautiful, clean azure seas. The beaches in the South of the island are generally sandy, and many are safe for swimming and provide excellent snorkelling.
If you need a bit more from your holiday than relaxing by the pool or beach then there are many places well worth visiting; villages such as Assos and the beautiful harbour of Fiscardo, virtually undamaged by the earthquake of 1953, the beautiful church of Agios Gerasimos, the Drogarti caves and Melissani Lake or a day trip to Ithaca.The dramatic Mount Ainos,1628m, and its surrounding National Park provides excellent walking opportunities, particularly in the spring and autumn, and is home to the island's native wild horses, eagles and osprey. The famous Robola vineyards are found in the nearby Omala Valley

Food and drink: Self catering on Kefalonia is a pleasure - the range and quality of fresh produce on the island is excellent. Local mini markets will provide essentials eg bread, fresh milk etc. For a bigger range Argostoli has daily fruit and veg markets with harbour front fish and meat also of a very high standard. In the main town there are a selection of food stores with a wider range of groceries including, if required, staples such as butter, baked beans and cheddar cheese! On each return to the island we enjoy revisiting favourite restaurants but can always discover a new gem. Numerous tavernas around the island offer simple grilled fresh fish and meat, pasta, salads and local dishes. In addition, particularly in Argostoli, there are more sophisticated restaurants to enjoy. Those with a passion for desserts will find many temptations in the island's patisseries.
For wine lovers there are several wineries on the island to visit and sample the local Robola grape.

The villa has a wonderful aspect. The sea views and sunsets are amazing. The pool was clean and the garden very pretty. Inside is modern and clean and well stocked. Nearby are lots of beaches and very good tavernas. All in all we had a great time.

Such a lovely Villa with breathtaking views, everything you could need was there ….lovely beaches nearby and fab tavernas , we had a lovely two week stay . The pool was fab and much needed as we were experiencing a bit of a heatwave even hotter then normal . Would definitely recommend this villa . Angela the host was very good at communicating and helped us out when needed as did William the property Manager.

Lovely villa with beautiful views of the sea. The local blue flag Avithos beach is within 1.5km is amazing and as a two very good tavernas and a beach bar. The local supermarket is well stocked with the essential. You definitely need a car!

One of the best villas we’ve ever stayed in. The property was immaculate, extremely well equipped and in a good location. The host was very helpful and communicative and the welcome pack on arrival was very gratefully received after a late flight arrival - thank you! They property clean wi to fresh bedding and towels half ways though our stay was great too. Great location - close to the airport and a great base to explore the beautiful island - a car is a must to make the most of everything!

Wonderful Villa Dias

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Dias. The property is beautifully-positioned, very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The views from the garden and the upstairs balcony are really wonderful and we spent many happy hours taking in the lovely vista and making full use of the pool which our three young children loved. It is an excellent base from which to explore the southern half of the island with its pretty beaches and it is close to the capital, Argostoli, and the airport. Overall, probably the best family holiday we have had and we will definitely be returning. Many thanks to the very helpful and thoughtful owners.

Fantastic!

We had a wonderful stay in the villa, which was fully equipped with everything we needed. The villa was spotlessly clean and the mid-stay cleans great! The pool was perfect and the views simply amazing - I could never get tired of the wonderful sunsets every evening. We had a good mix of pool days, beach days and exploring the island days and would definitely recommend car hire. The information pack with directions to the villa was excellent and we had no problems finding it. The suggestions for places to visit etc were really useful and the local beaches of Avithos and Makris Gialos were our favourites. We even witnessed turtle eggs hatching on Avithos beach which was simply amazing! Kefalonia is a beautiful island and we hope to return again one day. Thank you.

Amazing holiday and wonderful host

From the very start everything was perfect. Angela is a really helpful and kind host and Debs made sure we had all we needed. The villa is gorgeous with wonderful views of the sea and sunset. The pool was a relief in the heat and the warm breeze at night was a prefect place for the BBQ. The villa is well placed near 2 beaches, 1 is walking distance but you need to go early to avoid the heat. The walk back is hard work, up a hill and so hot! But then you can dive in the pool and cool off. Supermarkets are an easy driving distance and Preview restaurant overlooking Avithos Beach has great food & cocktails and beautiful views. It was the perfect holiday for teens who want to mess around in the pool and at the beach while we read, explored and ate gorgeous fresh fish, local cheeses and salads. The Melissani lake and caves are a 45 min drive away and well worth a visit but there are also lots of fab beaches a short drive away. I think car hire is pretty essential but book a local car hire firm and early to save a lot of money. The family thought it was the best holiday we have had and I agree!

A Perfect Family Getaway in Kefalonia, Greece

Comfortable well equipped villa in great location

We rented this villa for what was to be a busy week in Kefalonia. Originally planned for a bigger group it ended up just being me and my husband so there was plenty of room! We could have easily fitted in more family members. We struggled a little bit to find the property so were relieved to get in. The villa is in a beautiful part of Kefalonia with easy access to the airport, Argostoli and some of the best beaches we have found. As we were busy most days sometimes all we wanted to do was cook something simple in the evening and flop. My husband had hoped to be able to watch television but we couldn't seem to get any signal for Sky so we played cards instead. The kitchen was well enough equipped for us to cook for ourselves, especially as there were just the two of us. As it was October we ate inside in the evening but there was room to eat inside or out. We enjoyed our morning coffees outside looking out at the view and were sometimes joined by the odd local cat or dog! We didn't try the pool as at that time of year it was often in shade when we were at the villa first thing and the heat was going out of the day when we got back - but I am sure if we had gone with the kids they would have been in it! In short, we had a busy 5 days on the island and the villa was ideal.

Total relaxation

If you're looking for amazing views, peace and quiet - but not too far from the airport and capital, then Villa Dias is perfect. We had to pinch ourselves every day we woke to the fantastic view. And the sunsets were just as stunning. We had the most relaxing holiday enjoying the space and location - not to mention the wonderful pool. Highly recommend Villa Dias.

A real home from home, lovely décor and all you could possibly need. The villa worked well both as a comfortable base with beautiful views and a fabulous pool, but it is also in a central location with easy access to most of the Island's main tourist attractions. The local beach is within walking distance....but I would drive at least part way, as it is all uphill coming back!! It is a lovely family friendly beach and both the tavernas serve fabulous food. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating, responding quickly to our enquiries and the couple who manage the villa were very friendly and helpful. A real find, a lovely holiday and somewhere we would definitely revisit!

This villa really exceeded our expectations. Every comfort and facility you could require. The position is great (you do need a hire car) and we discovered even more superb beaches and restaurants in what has long been our favourite part of Kefalonia. Perfect for a relaxing family holiday.

Superb luxury villa in a quiet location with lovely views

This lovely villa is airy and spacious and very well furnished and equipped. Sited in a good sized hill-side plot it has lovely views particularly from the upstairs balcony. The pool is a very good size for this type of property and like everything else very well maintained. The local management team could not have been more helpful and friendly. This was our first visit to Kefalonia for our daughters wedding so with all the associated activities and visitors we didn't get chance to see much of what is clearly a lovely island. We will certainly come back and stay at Villa Dias again. It is one of those places that 'just feels right' and I cannot see how anyone would not have a very special holiday staying there.

What a lovely villa. Private. Spotlessly clean. Bit of an uphill hike from local restaurants. You'll definitely need a car. The property managers are lovely too. Very helpful and have some great ideas & tips.
