Second time at this fantastic property. Part of the group had the visit cut short due to illness, but another great stay and we would recommend to anyone!
Wonderful property! Will stay again if in Vermont.
The house was better than described or pictured. It is the nicest house on the street, with plenty of room and all the creature comforts. Unfortunately, we didn't get to tour the farm, but we will next time.
Absolutely gorgeous home and property. The house is exactly as listed and exceptionally well built. Visiting the farm animals with our children was so much fun. The views were gorgeous and the space for our children to roam in the snow was the perfect way to get them outdoors! Would go back again!
We had a wonderful time. Laura and Mari are great hosts and the property is stunning. We had plenty of room to celebrate the holidays and it was an absolute pleasure to cook in the kitchen. We will definitely come back.
The place was modern, spacious, clean, and very welcoming. My friends and I felt very at home. Communication was great throughout our stay, and everything was seamless. Would love to come back again in the future
The Farmhouse was awesome…everything my family hoped it would be. We enjoyed our first snow of the season and the grandkids were so excited to sled. The grownups enjoyed snowshoeing the beautiful property.Mari was a great host and always available.
Beautiful, cozy, enchanting home set in picturesque setting. The kitchen was well stocked & the amenities throughout the house were helpful (soaps, extras in bathrooms, in case you forgot something). The fireplace was amazing! Overall just a perfect getaway for my family of 5 (all 21). Laura & Mari were wonderful hosts! Communication was great. They left some nice surprises for our arrival. They took the time to walk us around the farm, after 8in of snowfall the night before.I can’t say enough praises about our experience. We all look forward to a return visit.

Gorgeous, Relaxing Winter Getaway
There were four of us (two couples) and this was the perfect spot for a friendly reunion -- there was ample room to cook and eat together, and plenty of private space too. The vistas out all the windows were incredible. We went snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on the trails adjacent to the house and then warmed up in front of the beautiful stone fireplace. The biggest treat was when the farmer-owners helped us make fresh sausage which we got to eat with our breakfast on Sunday morning.
The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and well-stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking several meals. Everything was new and nice, from linens to glassware. We can't wait to go back.
Staying at the GMG Farm was an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. The home and surrounding farm are gorgeous. The home is well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of comfortable beds and bedrooms. It is spacious and cozy, complete with double-sided fire place central to the family room and kitchen. We explored the surrounding towns which were quaint and cute, skied at a nearby mountain, visited a sugar shack, and hiked a few trails lined with clear blue streams and waterfalls. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Our family enjoyed touring the farm and meeting the sheep, pigs, farm dog and cat. We purchased meats from the farm store and prepared them one of the evenings for a delicious family meal. We were welcomed with complimentary homemade applesauce, loose tea, and pickles! We could not have asked for a more lovely experience.
Our family of 4 had a great stay (5 nights) at the Green Mountain Girls Farm over New Years. We were able to stretch out by the amazing masonry fireplace on the main floor while enjoying the views of the farm & mountains yonder, while cooking up delicious meals in the fully stocked kitchen & outdoor grill. We loved feeding the pigs & chickens scraps and seeing the sheep, and taking walks around the farm.
The only drawback was that the dirt road the house is on was severely rutted due to unprecedented heavy rains in the days before we arrived, which made getting in and out treacherous. Our hosts Laura & Mari were very accommodating though, assisting us with finding an alternative route, which we were very thankful for.
Would definitely recommend this place for a fun & luxurious stay with family & friends, just be sure to check the road conditions & drive an appropriate vehicle.
Our family stayed at the farmhouse for a few days during our son's graduation from Norwich University. On arrival we entered the home and were amazed at the size and cleanliness of the kitchen, living spaces, and bedrooms/bathrooms. Every aspect of the home has been thoughtfully designed. The views from the windows, porch, deck, and patio are breathtaking. We particularly enjoyed having Paine Mountain so visible, as our son spent much of his Norwich Mountain Cold Weather Company training there. The tour of the farm was fun and educational. Our adult/teen children had a blast together assembling pizzas and cooking them in the masonry heater fireplace with its own pizza oven, a first time for us using a pizza oven. We hosted a dinner celebration at the house for family traveling to attend graduation. Everything we needed to prepare and host was readily available. We are grateful to have had such a spacious and comfortable place to gather with family members, as we were able to visit and spend time all together and celebrate the graduate, without being rushed in and out of a crowded restaurant. Our family thoroughly enjoyed visiting and spending time with the farm animals... those little lambs! Our walk to the serene stream was a hidden gem. We enjoyed farm fresh foods. Throughout our stay, the hosts were very helpful and easily accessible for questions. The home is closely located to the Norwich campus and I89. Only wish we could have stayed longer! Many memories made!

A beautiful house with every amenity, attentive hostesses, and wonderful views out every window even with the fall foliage almost gone. We loved watching the farm animals, especially at feeding time.
We will definitely return and highly recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a perfect Vermont vacation at any time of year. A gem.

Norwich Graduation/Family Fun
My family and I arrived May 8th for my son's graduation from Norwich University on the 9th. We had four generations of the family on hand. We stayed at the farmhouse and it exceeded our expectations by a mile. The farmhouse was truly beautiful and a perfect gathering place for the family. After Commencement on Saturday Mari and Laura prepared a wonderful dinner that fed the entire group with left plenty of left overs. On Sunday for Mother's Day the ladies made us a delicious brunch that was out of this world. After brunch we took the grand kids down to watch the goats being milked. It was great and the kids had a great time. We could not have scripted it any better because we witnessed the birth of Johnny and June (baby goats). It was a perfect way to celebrate Mother's Day. I don't write many reviews but, the Green Mountain Girls made this a special time for our family. Thank you Ladies!!!

Perfect retreat in the Vermont countryside
We checked in late one February night to a warm, beautifully appointed home. The masonry heating fireplace (what a showpiece!) had been lit earlier in the evening prior to our arrival – what a welcome! The home has been so thoughtfully designed – there is an ease to the layout and an attention to detail with what is provided to guests. The gourmet kitchen is well stocked with cooking appliances and accoutrements. The farmhouse itself is very spacious – our two families enjoyed cooking together and catching up in the dining room & family room and then retiring to our separate private quarters. Mari and Laura were so wonderful to connect with - we all enjoyed our farm tour and the kids especially loved sledding and collecting eggs from the chickens. We are just now finishing off the last of our farmstand goodies and hope to return soon for another visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fabulous Rural Retreat
What a wonderful place for a long weekend getaway It was a truly beautiful place to relax and spend time with family. Mari and Laura were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed seeing and learning about their working farm. The farmhouse inn was a luxurious retreat and provided everything we needed, including the delicious products from their farm. It was the perfect accommodation for a winter getaway. We'd love to come back in another season and appreciate more of Vermont's natural beauty.
