The Gingko house offered everything we could have hoped for for a comfortable 5 night stay with family. Not only was the house immaculate, the host was incredibly kind and accommodating. Wonderful and safe neighborhood, in walking distance to store, coffee shops, restaurants.
Really enjoyed our stay and Belladonna truly has outdone herself! This place has everything you need and made our vacation extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful review, Danyele. Yes, I probably have outdone myself! I want my guests to be able to hit the ground running when they arrive, even if it’s to just hang around the house enjoying the quiet.
We rented this property for a family gathering and it was great! The house was clean, well stocked and the location couldn't be better. The host was very helpful and answered any questions we had. I would definitely rent this property again.
The property was fantastic!! Great house with great amenities. The property was very clean and we had everything we needed! Was perfect for a group getaway! The host was easy to communicate with and extremely helpful when we forgot one of our pillows. Will definitely stay here again!
Extended family were in town for a wedding and wanted to stay together. This place was ideal - 7 of us fit very comfortably in the house and Belladonna was a great host. The location was great - It was a short walk to coffee shops and a choice of restaurants. An added bonus was that it was very close and convenient to the airport (as several of us had early morning flights!).
We had a staff retreat in Portland and this was the PERFECT house for our group. It was clean, very well appointed, and so great to deal with the owner. Lots of rooms and spaces for everyone to spread out and have their own areas. I would highly recommend!
Great place, there were 5 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of bed options. Toys and games for the kids. Alberta district 3 blocks away, nice to place to eat, shop and enjoy. We weren’t far from a lot of the parks.
Would definitely come back!

We rented the whole place for several days and used all the bedrooms. This house had everything we wanted and needed and more! Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were and the kitchen was very efficient. It is so conveniently located--we made several trips to the airport to pick up guests and it is so close it made life very easy!!! The restaurants nearby are also great! Bella was so very accommodating and bent over backwards to make our stay perfect! I will definitely stay here again!~Bernadette

Thank you Bernadette,
We loved having you. Obviously you and your friends are welcome back. When you love what you do, "bending over backwards" is fun. Now to get my body to do that...
I can’t say enough nice things about this property. The manager is kind and attentive, and the home had every amenity you could want. It felt lived in, not like a cold, sterile rental. The location is PERFECT and was within walking distance of every type of cuisine your heart could possibly desire. If you’re coming to Portland, stay here. Full stop!
This place was terrific! We had a group of family & friends in for several days for our daughter's wedding. The place was clean & fresh with many thoughtful little touches to make our stay comfortable. The finishes - tile, paint & wallpaper - were of good quality and added fun little touches everywhere. The neighborhood was walkable, with restaurants, coffee shops, and a very nice market nearby. The host, Belladonna, was welcoming and concerned to make our stay special. We would definitely recommend this place for any larger group.
Beautiful, updated property with lots of charm. Very clean. The amenities were plentiful, including lots of extra towels, pillows, and outlets for all our devices. Can't forget the updated kitchen and plentiful bathrooms. You'll never forget Homer Simpson. LOL!

Perfect home away from home!
We were celebrating our in laws 40th anniversary in Portland. Bella was an amazing host. Always available and ready to answer any questions. The house was in great condition and in a perfect location. Walking distance from Alberta district and so close to downtown. The house was so neat and had a great layout for our family of 7. Just awesome. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks you Bella!
This house is lovely. Super clean, all the kitchen items you could need, great location. Owner let us check in a few hours early. My only issue was that the owner lives right next door and was a bit in our business the entire week. She was watering plants in the backyard on day 2, spoke with many of my family members and friends on the porch throughout the week. She was pleasant, but I found it weird to have her right there the whole time.
We were a family of 10 visiting Portland for a wedding. This house was perfect and comfortable for all of us. The rooms were decorated just as pictured and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, clean and safe. We had a lot of restaurants and markets within walking distance. We would highly recommend staying here.
We had a wonderful time staying here. The property is just as pictured- everything is high quality and comfortable. It’s also very spacious with plenty of beds and baths. Bella was always easy to contact and very helpful and accommodating the entire time. We loved the location of the property as well. Highly recommend this house and would jump at the opportunity to stay here in the future!
Our group of 10 booked this house for MLK wknd. We absolutely loved the space (3 levels of rooms and living space, all exactly as described), the location was super convenient to Alberta Arts and cost only 15-20 to grab an Uber or Lyft to Downtown/Pearl, and the amenities allowed us all to make home cooked meals and do some laundry. Loved the Homer Simpson bathroom! Everyone made sure they took selfies with him! Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook it again if we’re back in town and it’s available
Location: 15 minutes from airport, 15 minutes from downtown, Groceries and liquor store a ten minute walk, Alberta district with fascinating shops, restaurants, and people. Plus the owner lives next door and she is a delight. An excellent choice for our group of 10 people.
Bella has provided everything we could have looked for!
We were three couples using the property. Each of us had their own level with a king bed and either one or two full baths. The house provided us with space to be together as well as privacy for showering, sleeping, etc. Two levels each had an extra bedroom with a pair of twin beds which we did not need, but seemed great if there were families. The lower level was at street level....not a basement. It had its own entrance, kitchen, laundry facilities. An indoor staircase connected it to the rest of the house. Great property.....walking distance to a GREAT bakery and other eating establishments. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY

About the host
Hosted by Belladonna
I’ve lived in, and loved, Portland for 28 years. My children and I love exploring greater Portland and especially our own "front yard" : the creativity and vibrancy of Alberta Street / Killingsworth, with the many restaurants, coffee, beer, kombucha, dispensary, food trucks, groceries, and local shops that our neighborhood has to offer. Alberta Arts prides itself on it's very local flavor.
Of course, we are proud to share our neighborhood with other families/employees/singles, too. We don't discriminate. Everyone except for your pet is welcome here! The Ginkgo House is a luxury property we have enjoyed getting creative with . Homer Says, "Come EAT here! "
Why they chose this property
Northeast Portland and, specifically, the Alberta Arts District, offers the best of the The City of Roses with so many incredible eateries (coffee shops, restaurants, food trucks, street carts, cafés, breweries, and more!), shops, museums and other creative outlets, just minutes from our front door. It's also very easy to get aroundm and easy to find
What makes this property unique
This is one of very few large city- permitted homes in Portland – and this is one of the largest in the Alberta Arts District. Add- in the eleven years of running a short term rental and your reservation is secure. It’s about more than our number of bedrooms, and bathrooms, though: The Ginkgo House is a newer building in a lovely residential neighborhood. And it has everything you'll need. Over the years, we’ve learned from our guests and have gone beyond the basics (fast WiFi, etc.) Everything from hip furnishings and washer/dryer, right down to complimentary toiletries and 2 fully equipped kitchens. We'd love for you to feel comfortable booking, so feel free to reach out with any clarifications.
