Secluded large home. Wooded setting. Easy commute to downtown.
*temporary note* I will be re roofing sometime this winter 2025 to summer 2026. I will avoid any work when guests are present, but you may see scaffolding on one portion of the house at a time. *end note*. Fully furnished and decorated, this house is very secluded Victorian on 45 Forested acres built in the 90's perched over a hillside with great views on acreage. Its 6 bedrooms are able to accommodate 12 guests with more space to spread out if needed. There are nearby birdwatching, hiking, and natural areas. Sauvie Island is just a 4 minute car ride away. Heading into downtown Portland for dinner or attractions will take you 17 to 20 minutes door to door in most cases.
•For larger gatherings: •This home is a great place to feel like you're a hundred miles from the city. Very private and quiet. •Most rooms set up with Web TV (ROKU) devices. •Fully stocked kitchen. Bring your own food, replace what you use from the pantry.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire home but for a storage room. This includes the main floor with two suites (own bathrooms), living, dining rooms and kitchen, the second floor with two bedrooms, shared bath, loft, and a third floor tower for storm watching, star gazing, or pretending you're a pretty pretty princess (kids LOVE it). The daylight basement level has a pool table and TV lounge, two more bedrooms, wet bar, laundry, and a family bath.
The Neighborhood
McNamee is a rural street in the hills just beyond Forest Park. The house is set back far from the road. You will have a sense of being nestled in the forest on a perch with a great view Northward.
Getting around
The nearest public transit is the city bus that goes as far as Sauvie Island, just 2 miles short of the house. You will certainly need a vehicle.

Property was well suited for 4 families, two with children. Plenty of room and bathrooms for all, as well as areas to play and run. Secluded with great views outdoors.
Comments from the gang included "great view" "spacious" "great accomodations for our bunch" "would love to return"The host was super friendly and entertaining.
This house was spectacular for a weekend graduation trip. There was sooo much space- the view is unparalleled, and the property owners were so kind! You definitely need a car to stay here- as it’s about a 20 min drive to things- but it feels so safe, welcoming and wonderful!
This was a memorial for my sister that passed away and my entire family came to stay and absolutely loved it and we are going to stay at the same house at the same time
This property exceeded my expectations!
It fit 11 of us comfortably and also was perfect for our bbq gathering that we had to celebrate our son’s graduation.

We booked this property for a 12 person family reunion. Ample sleeping, showers, and bathrooms. The large kitchen was awesime, and the outdoor grill a bonus. Awesome views of the mountains was a surprize for my out of town family. The host was great and resolved a small issue we had early on. I'd stay here again.
We loved this house for our family reunion. Lots of room to spread out on 3 levels. Nice outdoor space with beautiful views overlooking the hills and the valley. Spacious, well stocked kitchen. The owner was really responsive. We highly recommend this place.
We loved staying in your beautiful home!! Lots of space for privacy and community! Beautiful views from the balcony and windows. Close to Portland but with the feel of a large home in the woods! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!!
Kathie was so helpful and always available for any questions. We had multiple families staying at the house for my daughter’s wedding and it was perfect. The beauty surrounding the house was the icing on the cake!

Everyone in our group loved this house. Its spacious, well stocked with dishes, cookware, towels, etc, very comfortably furnished and has a spectacular view of the Columbia River and Mounts Rainier, St. Helens and Hood. Brian the host was terrific…very simple check in, super responsive and welcoming. If our group gets together again next year, will definitely stay here again!
We loved this place - location, views, tucked into nature but still accessible based on the places we were traveling to from the place as our home base, and Brian the property manager was super communicative & easy to work with. We ended up requesting a late checkout because we needed a bit more time to get our ducks in a row with a few friends leaving at different times and he got back to us within the hour and extended our checkout time to accommodate. Clean property & charming interior. Will definitely stay here again if we have the reason to be in the area!
This three story, 6 bedroom home is located on a hilltop overlooking the Columbia River. We were a group of 15 - adults and kids. There were plenty of beds, several different living spaces which provided multiple options for noisy kids, game loving adults and quiet readers and a huge table for dining. The management was very helpful, quick in response to inquiries yet not invasive. This was our second time staying here and it worked perfectly for us!.
This house was so beautiful and had so much space for our two families. The house could use some kids dishes and there were no towels hooks in the master room, which was a little strange. But otherwise, no complaints. Would recommend and stay again.
