Holiday Home on Lake Ihler


A very tastefully decorated holiday home right on Lake Ihler. Here you’ll find everything your heart desires.

The ground floor features a warm and modern interior. The kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, oven, microwave, ceramic cooktop, filter coffee/pod machine, refrigerator, separate freezer compartment, electric kettle, toaster, and much more). The table comfortably seats 6 people (3 chairs and a corner bench; the table is extendable), and a high chair for our little guests is also available. From the kitchen, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the garden and the water. The furnished summer garden, complete with a retractable awning and a grill, invites you to relax and unwind.

In the living area, you’ll find a cosy sofa nook and an armchair with a flat-screen TV and a stereo system.

There is also a bathroom on the ground floor.

You’ll also find a storage room on the ground floor equipped with a washing machine, a clothes rack, a small freezer, an ironing board, an iron, and cleaning supplies.

Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a double bed and a closet, a TV, another bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet.

A travel cot for younger guests is also available.

Some rooms on the lower floor are equipped with underfloor heating.

The house has a dock from which you can enter the water or cast your line (with a fishing licence); to do so, you’ll need a guest fishing permit (available at the municipal office or the tourist information centre). The garden opens onto the water.

There are two parking spaces available in front of the house.

The Ihler Meer is an artificial swimming lake covering an area of 3.5 hectares. It is located in Ihlowerfehn, a district of the municipality of Ihlow in East Frisia, between the cities of Emden and Aurich…

The Ihler Meer, with its tranquil sandy beach, is located in the heart of the holiday and sports park in the district of Ihlowerfehn. The inland lake is known for its clean water. The Lower Saxony State Ministry of Health has certified its excellent quality on multiple occasions. In the spring and summer, sunbathers of all ages, swimmers, and sandcastle builders flock there. In the immediate vicinity, there is a restaurant with a beer garden, as well as a small playground and a fitness centre with a sauna. In other words, everything you need for a relaxing day off with friends or family. Whether on holiday or just after work—you’ll feel right at home at Ihler Meer.
Ihlowerfehn is also known for its monastery ruins in the Ihlower Forest, the Fentjer Tief nature reserve, and its museums (the Riepe Mudflat Museum and the Fehn Museum)

Ihlowerfehn is an ideal base for exploring all of East Frisia. From here, you can take bike tours to Emden, with its State Museum, the Kunsthalle, and canal cruises, or to Aurich, with its Historical Museum, Pingelhus, Aurich Castle, the EEZ, or simply stroll through the pedestrian zone.

Papenburg (Meyer Shipyard), Leer, Emden, Aurich, Norddeich, Greetsiel, Dornum, Moordorf (Moor Museum), Wilhelmshaven, Jever, Cloppenburg, Ditzum by ferry from Petkum or by car through the Emstunnel


A flat fee of 70€ for final cleaning is required for every booking.
If needed, a laundry package can be booked for €10 per person.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests with pets.
This is a smoke-free home.
