Private Beach Front Home

Walk out your back yard right into the beach. Water comes right to your porch steps during high tide. Just renovated in December. 4 bedrooms (one does not have door), 2 bath with lots of parking space and a 2 car garage for your toys. The kitchen is equipped and there is a gas grill you can use. There is a washer and dryer in the garage. Contact us if you would like to sleep more people for an additional cost. I provide bedding for 10 but allow more guests if you brought your own bedding and pay the additional person fees.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Home on the shore

Easy to find, great first impression upon walking in. Nice location right on the water with easy access to the bay. Easily slept my wife and I and our 7 kids we brought with us.

Thankful Thanksgiving Vacation

Yes extremely thankful to the property owner for sharing the home for our 1st Thanksgiving in Cholla Bay. My family visits often stays at the resorts and this time we wanted a different location and experience. The house was perfect for our family. Alot of space perfect location and great community. Highly tecommend.

Beautiful location! Swimming was very limited at our location due to low tide fluctuations during our stay, but we got a lot of swimming in at other beaches in the area. We felt very secure with the locking gate. We will rent here again...

Much needed relaxation

We had a wonderful eight night stay where we were able to relax on the beach and enjoy the beautiful ocean. The house and host where everything we hoped for and more. When we first arrived, the upstairs bedroom air conditioning was not working correctly. The host, within a couple hours, had someone over to look at it and by the next day, a new AC unit installed. The house and the yard were secure, leaving us feeling very safe throughout our stay. We would love to return to this location often, it was absolutely perfect.

Location couldn't be better!

Adorable, clean home, right on the water, and a quick drive to town. Perfect. Owner was very responsive with any questions we had. Check in was easy with the use of a lockbox. House is stocked with all the basics: toaster over, blow dryer, plenty of pans, etc. We had 10 people in our group and supplemented with extra toilet paper, trash bags and additional bedding.

Weekend getaway!

Clean, safe, water-facing property in Choya Bay. It seems to be more of a locals neighborhood, which is good if you want to avoid the Sandy Beach and resort crowds. We only stayed for a quick weekend, so my input might be a bit lacking. We used GPS and had no difficulty locating the property The patio faces the Bay; when the tide is low, you can walk a long way out (& get clams, if you wish). The kitchen has a drip coffeemaker, fridge/freezer and probably anything you need to make meals (we were only there 2 days, so did not cook, or use anything other than a spoon or 2) There are 3 bedrooms that have doors and a full/twin and twin bunk beds located in a alcove behind the stairs. The A/C situation is good; we were very comfortable with the temperature in the house. The water pressure is good; we were unable to figure out how to make the water hot, but it was fine, since it was only 2 days (we probably didn't read the house instructions thoroughly). Disposable of toilet paper is per "Mexico rules" (iykyk). Easy drive to "Wrecked" and the Malecon'. All-in-all, it was a nice, relaxing weekend & we can't wait to plan our next trip!

Great place for a beach getaway

The host was very responsive and the house was great. Wonderful place very quiet long beautiful walks on the beach. Clamming right out front. Sally’s is a restaurant within walking distance I’d suggest future guests bring extra toilet paper paper towels and trash bags Would totally stay again ! Thank you

Cholla bay

We had a blast! We used to have a cabin right in back of this property so we knew it well! We had to give up our cabin in the 90s after having it for 60 years. The place has really changed! They destroyed sandy beach! We walked out to the tide every morning! JJs was a blast! I haven't been down in over 20 years but it was like coming home! I would recommend staying on a beach front property!

Family Vacation

If you are looking for a quiet vacation with family specially with small children this is a perfect spot. We were pretty much the only ones out there. It is away from the resorts so no vendors and for us that was a plus. House was perfect. Lots of room, ac works :)...Beach does have rocks so water shoes are a must but once you get pass the rocks the kids can play in the water for hours. There were no waves so my three year old which can’t swimming could be in there with no fear of the ocean taking him. Water does leave about a mile out and returns around 2pm and it doesn’t leave again until about sun set. Very different from all the properties we have stayed in but we really enjoyed the trip. Quiet relaxing trip!

Roomy house with a great porch right on the bay. Great rental experience!

We really liked this house! There are some upgrades that have been done since the last set of pictures, the most important one is that the back porch has a nice built in sun shade now. And the roof top deck was a great place to watch the sunset. This house is very roomy with tons of options for stashing the kids :). Everything worked well, and we loved the large gated front area for the cars. The location is between JJ's and Wrecked at the Reef, good for a drink or music - but always nice and quiet at the house without any vendors. Our experience with the owner was the best we have ever had in our VRBO travels. We received very timely and detailed instructions, and the owner was able to keep on top of things remotely when needed. We would absolutely love to stay here again!

What makes this property unique

This home is private. Beach access other than from individual homes is far away so most of the time you are the only ones on the beach or sometimes a handful of neighbors will be in front of their own home. You get to experience one of the highest tide variations worldwide. This area of Rocky Point is ranked about 5 or 6 for the highest tide variations in the world. At low tide, you can walk for miles into the once ocean and even get to another area of town. At high tide, you swim stepping off your porch. Check google for high tide in Rocky Point and you will find the best time for swimming for your dates. High tide occurs twice per day. You get plenty of swimming time as you want to get out there a few hours before high tide and you get more time after it starts to leave. If you sit still enough, you can get your own fish pedicures from small fish swimming around you just as the tide is coming in or leaving. I like to take a chair and sit in the water as they nibble. (Bring your own chair to do this, as chairs could rust and I don't provide chairs for this). Also at low tide, you can walk around and feel something hard under your feet. As you dig, you discover there is a clam there. This can provide a good little snack to cook up or just a fun adventure for kids.
