True French Style, a retro beauty and historic charm

The owner Marie was very helpful in getting us the details for our stay with directions and contact info. The local property manager Christophe was always there if we need any information. This is a historic building built in the 1800's. It was previously a hotel (Riviera Palace) with all the granger in its day. What you have to understand when staying here is this is not a tourist condo, your living with the locals. You also have to understand that this is truly an original authentic French Palace with all the amazing Marble Stairways, 20 foot high ceilings, and wide hallways. If you’re looking for a modern cookie cutter typical condo, it is not here. This is an amazing and magical place. The grounds are a garden. During national day people were touring the building, taking pictures and gathering for the opera singer and flute player on the lawn. The apartment has everything you need: Big Tub, separate shower, nice bedroom, sitting room, dining room with a day bed and a wonderful kitchen. If you love to cook, like we do, then you’re in heaven. The kitchen has its own balcony that just fits two chairs and a table with a roller awning and beautiful views of the sea. There are three Armoires that are filled with dishes, and linens and everything you need. The kitchen has a very good stove, microwave and induction cook top. Big refrigerator and a dishwasher. Pots and pan are plenty with all the utensils you will need. The beds are very comfortable, the sitting room is wonderful with a second balcony that is larger. The doors are the classic all wooden tall French doors, with additional big heavy duty shutters. If you want to wake up early you better set the alarm because this building in on a dead end street and very quiet. To head to town you walk through the garden and then take a separate path between the homes to the main street of Sospel. There is small local market there, and two small maches (Carrefour and Casino). If you take Sospel Road past the interstate (10 minutes) there is a Hype Mache with everything you need. The walk to the train station is 10 minutes, to town is about 15 to the old town 20 minutes. Parking at the palace is first come first serve. You get used to it. Elevator is nice. They have a shopping cart that floats around if you need to take a lot to the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment to those who enjoy a place with character and charm. This is truly a French Classic and I will be returning.

Wir waren schon einmal 2019 hier. Uns hat die sehr grosszügige "Altbau"wohnung (3Zimmer, Küche, Balkone, Meerblick) sehr gut gefallen. Die Kommunikation mit Marie lief sehr gut und problemlos. Der Palast ist wirklich beeindruckend mit einem etwas "gelebten Charme". Die Stadt ist fußläufig in etwa 10Minuten zu erreichen und bietet sehr viele Flanier- und shopping-Möglichkeiten, v.a. auch für den täglichen Bedarf. Zurück ist etwas anstrengender, weil bergauf.Der Strand (Kies/Sand) ist sehr lang und im September überhaupt nicht überfüllt. Darüberhinaus gibt es einen Sandstrand direkt unterhalb der Stadt, dieser ist beeindruckend angelegt und sehr gepflegt.

Stilvolle Unterkunft

Die Wohnung ist von der Lage im Gebäude mit der traumhaften Aussicht aus allen Räumen Richtung Meer einfach top inclusive der Aufteilung. Wir haben die Wohnung ordentlich und sauber vorgefunden. Das eine oder andere könnte mal erneuert werden. Die Elektrogeräte waren aber alle funktionabel und auch das Mobiliar. Die Wohnung Stil und passt sehr gut zum Gebäude und ist schön großzügig. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, mein Mann und ich. Es ist wie eine kleine Zeitreise.

Perfekter Aufenthalt

Sehr angenehme und präzise Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin. Problemlose Schlüsselübergabe. Sehr schöne Wohnung mit stilvoller Einrichtung und allem, was man benötigt. Toller Ausblick über den Park bis zum Meer. Man fühlt sich in die Zeit der „Belle Époque“ versetzt!

Une vue exceptionnelle depuis un ancien palace

Bel appartement, fonctionnel, bien équipé et avec une magnifique vue mer et jardin. Environnement calme. A savoir que l’appartement est situé dans un ancien palace sur les hauteurs de Menton . Il faut donc s’attendre à grimper en rentrant de la ville . Heureusement l’ascenseur nous soulage sur l’arrivée .

Le charme d'un ancien palace

Cet appartement avec 4 pièces en enfilade dans un ancien Palace, avec vue sur le parc et la mer, très lumineux, est fort agréable. Marie, la propriétaire, est très soucieuse du bien être de ses hôtes. Il est situé à l'écart de l'agitation de la ville, donc au calme. Une bonne adresse pour des vacances sereines. À noter : pour revenir à pied de la ville via une traverse piétonne et le parc du palace, il faut monter, de mémoire, plus de 80 marches. Ce qui est très bon pour la santé 😏 La vieille ville est à 10/15 mn à pied de l'appartement.

- Küche samt Geräten total verschmutzt, Essensreste in der Micro, Backofen verrostet und verkrustet - Bad: Schimmel und kein Warmwasser beim Waschbecken - Kaum Platz für eigene Sachen (1 m Kleiderschrank und 3 Laden) für alle Personen, die restlichen Schränke waren verschlossen oder vollgeräumt (80%) - sehr selten war ein Parkplatz zu finden, obwohl im Vertrag. Die Wohnung gehört komplett renoviert, so ist sie total überteuert.

Tolle Ferienwohnung im Palast an der Cote d'Azur

Diese Ferienwohnung im Reviera Palace ist wirklich etwas Besonderes ! Jede Menge Platz, hohe Decken, 3 grosse Zi plus Küche, Balkons, eine palastartige Eingangshalle und Marmor-Treppenhaus, ein großerPark-Garten der zum Gebäude gehört. zT. sehr schöne antike Möbel in den Zimmern, Küche und Sanitär ist ok. Waschmaschine vorhanden. Nach Menton (Bäcker usw) muss man 10min den Berg runter (und wieder rauf...) gehen. Prima Verbindung mit Zug/Bus nach Monaco, Nizza, etc. Nette und unkomplizierte Vermieterin, die wir leider nicht persönlich kennengelernt haben.

excellent séjour dans un cadre enchanteur

appartement de bon confort et de bon goût, alliant le charme d'antan à l'agrément d'un jardin superbe, très calme. Relations aisées avec le centre ville grâce au petit bus 3. Bonnes descriptions et bons conseils donnés par la propriétaire. Un peu loin du front de mer, mais bien ventilé par temps chaud !
