The Chalet on Beautiful Lake Charlevoix w/ Docking

Our recently updated chalet offers all the comforts of home while displaying northern Michigan's Lake Charlevoix, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world! Beautiful new deck, with solar lighting. Floor to ceiling windows provide full window views from the great room and dining area with the open kitchen right there to share the view. Updated Stainless appliances in the kitchen, fully furnished (pans, utensils, plates, glasses, ice-maker, corkscrew) to give you your comforts from home.

Main level: Kitchen, Dining Area, Great Room with TV, Card/Game Table
Also Main Level: Bedroom with Queen Bed and attached Full Bathroom.
Upper Level: Huge private bedroom with King size Bed and lake view. Full Bathroom. Loft area with 2 queen beds with spectacular lake views.
Lower Level: Completely finished, bright Lower Level walk-out, has 1 Bedrooms with Queen Bed, with attached full bathroom. Living area has 2 Queen Beds and Bunk Beds
Total sleeping: Max allowed 8. Three full bathrooms - totally updated!
Our huge, 2 level deck has panoramic views of the lake. Deck furniture includes 2 high-top bars for happy hour on the deck, chase lounges and additional chairs to soak up the sun, a large gas grill. Seating on Lower Patio also. Grass lawn for games.
Built-in sand box for kids. Dock available, to walk on, fish from. Mooring Buoy available for your boat.
We are on the south arm of Lake Charlevoix. Approximately a mile wide and 8 miles long, where the channel at Ironton opens up to the big part of Lake Charlevoix. The south arm gives the flexibility to wakeboard, fish, and boat without the volatility of the big, open expanse of Lake Charlevoix. Yet, a nice boat ride will take you to all parts of Lake Charlevoix and out to Lake Michigan.
If you are able, travel by boat to The Landing, Ironton at least once. They have a 'Key West' atmosphere. Great drinks and food! (if no boat, drive there)
Our Chalet is 5 minutes from quaint East Jordan. 15 minutes from Charlevoix/Lake Michigan. Also, 15 minutes from Boyne City.
There are endless things to do in this area for couples or families. From Yak farm, carousel, train display, hands on museum, and sandy beaches to hiking, charter fishing, river rafting, jet skis, brewery, and fine dining for couples.

Boyne Mountain, Boyne Falls, MI is 15 minutes away and
Boyne Highlands, Petosky, MI is approx. 45 minutes.

The house was incredible! It had an abundance of utensils and kitchen tools, making our trip even more enjoyable. Bolt rental was conveniently located right down the street, just a short walk away. The lake was breathtaking, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Overall, I highly recommend this place. The host was incredibly friendly and promptly answered all our questions.

fabulous place to vacation. This home has plenty of sleep space, very comfortable and right on the lake. We had a great long weekend at this lovely home. The deck is huge and the owners are very nice and responsive. The only negative is its pretty close to the road but still give it 5 stars. We'll be back - thanks for being a great host Julie

Beautiful lake Charlevoix place to stay

We had a group 8 and enjoyed our stay here! Loved being able to swim right off property. House well appointed! Enjoyed kayaking and fire pit! Yard a bit small but still could fit 2 sets of cornhole boards! On a very busy road! Convenient boat rental only 1/4 mile from the house (which Also provides river kayak tours which we did not go on). Loved the large deck off house with ample seating for a larger group!

Home Away From Home

We are VRBO frequenters and this house was by far the best "home away from home" we've stayed in. The kitchen was fully stocked and the pantry had all the basics. The house was super clean and the master suite is essentially separate from the rest of the house, which was ideal for us since our teenagers stay up later and we didn't hear them. Overall the location was perfect, right on the water with a big deck and comfortable outdoor furniture to enjoy the cool breeze and everything else Lake Charlevoix has to offer. We have a place on Norris Lake in Tennessee and were amazed at how quiet & peaceful the South Arm is compared to other lakes. We kayaked most days and saw only a few boats. Last year we stayed on Walloon Lake but we will definitely be back to the South Arm because it's so close to Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. The only concerns with this house would be for those with small children (under 4 yrs old). The spiral staircase leading to the loft would concern me and the front yard/driveway is small and therefore close to the road. Otherwise, it was really a perfect place and location for us.

What makes this property unique

A benefit of this property is the wonderful lake frontage and ability to travel by boat to other interesting small towns. Our Chalet is right on the water. When sitting in the living room, you feel like you are on the water, it is so close. You can hear the waves. A spectacular day is a boat ride to The Landing in Ironton for lunch, then to Boyne City & Charlevoix for shopping, anchor the boat out on Lake Michigan near the sand dunes at Mt McSauba, public docks for dinner and a drink and sunset over Lake Michigan.
