Charming and rustic. Host and greeter sent to meet us was exceptional. Public transportation was close. Train station was just down the hill. Air conditioning was perfect!!!

Very clean apartment. Cozy and comfortable. Washer and Air conditioning were a huge help. Great location in the heat of Alfama. Also, Paula, our hostess, was exceedingly helpful both prior to and during the stay. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. Perfectly located only a 5 minute walk to Santa Apolonia Metro station and in a great neighborhood in Alfama with lots of restaurants located very nearby. The host was very flexible with us generously accommodating an earlier check in and check out time. If you stay here please visit the Basbousa Cafe which is only a few minutes walk from the apt. The beds were comfortable and the apt was a perfect size for the 4 of us.

The Vrbo was very clean and very nicely centrally located in Lisbon, with a quick walk to or from the Santa Apolonia train, bus and subway station. (The walk from the station is a bit steep at certain points, but it’s nevertheless short.) Pulling or carrying lots of luggage up the hill is probably not a good idea. Communication with the hosts was good, and we enjoyed a restful time in between very interesting tours, dinners, etc.

Great Place Near the Water

It was very clean and had all the essentials. Check-in was super easy. The location is great - I. Walking distance to several must see tourist sites. Plenty of choices for restaurants. Nice and close to boardwalk.

Tucked into residential neighborhood

Lovely apartment in historic neighborhood. Shops and restaurants nearby. Easy access to great public transportation. Hosts were helpful with restaurant and sightseeing ideas. After long busy days sightseeing it was nice to retreat to our quiet little neighborhood!

The apartment was in a great location. It was within walking distance to the Metro, train, good restaurants and all the unique areas of Lisbon. The apartment itself was large, bright bright and clean and had all the amenities you could ask for. On our arrival there was a slightly musty smell but once we opened the large windows it was less noticeable. This could have been due to the age of the building. The only other things that I found could be improved upon were the stains on a couple of the chairs and the caulking around the bathroom sink. The hosts were wonderful, very helpful and always available for any questions and concerns.

Perfect stay in Lisbon's perfect neighborhood

The apartment is well provisioned with a full kitchen, laundry, living room and 2 bedrooms. The location is off the main streets, well lit and quiet. Alfama is the perfect neighborhood to start your exploration of Lisbon. Restaurants, cafe's and Fado are only steps away from your door. Wine shops and small grocery stores make staying in as convenient as going out. This is the place to stay.

Heart of Alfama

The property really is at the heart of historic Alfama and is the perfect base from which to explore everything Lisbon has to offer. The apartment is well equipped, surrounded by bars and restaurants yet quiet at night. Lots of communication with the owners and Joyce their local representative who gave us recommendations and info and was always available to answer any questions. We had a great time!

This was our first trip abroad, we had no idea what to expect and Lisbon was our 3rd and final destination while in Europe. Property management could not have been more helpful. It was so nice to arrive to a comfortable well stocked well located residence. I could go on and on about the location and just everything about Travessa II. It couldn't have been more perfect!!

Located in Alfama area (old section of town) close to train, metro, market, restaurants. Was there during elections and soccer playoffs yet it was a quiet location. Was met for check-in and provided any information I could need and Paula was always available to help with transportation needs etc. Much appreciated.

Perfect location

This location is accessible to everything. The host was very helpful in providing recommendations which we adhered to. Absolutely would stay here again. Note: my friend and I had very different experiences with cab drivers and how close to the apartment they dropped us off. Be prepared to carry your luggage up a hill.

Lovely apartment in Alfama

We loved our stay in Alfama in this apartment. It was a charming, clean place just off Rua Dos Remedios with tons of cafes, restaurants, shops and amazing Fado. It's very close to the train/metro station too, though down a steep hill. The A/C worked well and the apartment had all the necessities. We came with my 83 year old mother who is pretty tough, but I'd say location is maybe not ideal for older travelers because of the hills, stone walkways and the many steps up to the second (first - European) floor.

Lisbon experience

We had a great stay, thank you very much! The apartment was very well maintained, its location was good, tram, bus, trains, shops an restaurants - everything just few minutes from the house. The hosts were very kind a caring, we got a lot of useful tips, the organization of out arrival/departure was wery smooth, they helped us even with the car rental. It was very nice to find a water, sweets and a bottle of local wine (which was delicious) in a fridge, especially after 12 hours journey. Even though we did not cook, the kitchen was very well equiped, it was pleasant to be provided with tea, chocolate and coffee for the morning start. Lisbon itself is an amazing place, we enjoyed it very much. I hope we will come again!
