Stunning Open-Space in Central Paris

This is a 55 sq meter open-space in a typical Haussmannian historic building (18th century) on the first floor. Situated in the 2°Arrondissement, in the very center of the 'snail'! (central Arrondissements in Paris are represented in a snail). The apartment has been recently and finely restored but preserves the fascination of the unforgettable 'belle époque'. The floor and the ceiling are authentic and antique like several pieces of furniture. Old beams, old parquet and logical living design and amenities create charm and space that feel good and are just plain fun to live in.

This big studio is ideal for modern life style. Loft living is different: 'a loft is open space, and creative use of that space that invites people to arrange things to suit their personal lifestyle and taste'. The great part is that the owner/guest decides the use-of-space, not the builder!

The location is really interesting because you are very in a walking distance to the main attractions in Paris (one minute from Opera Theatre, five minutes from Place Vendome, eight minutes from Madeleine Square, ten minutes from Louvre Palais, twelve minutes from Montergeuil, etc). This is a lively area to stay in, with splendid buildings, Grand Boulevards and places such as the Palais Royal, Madeleine surrounded by gardens and restaurants, the 'Bourse' stock exchange, the Louvre, the Tuileries Gardens. The rue St Honoré runs through the middle of the first arrondissement with small boutiques from end to end as far as 'Chatelet Les Halles' a popular tourist attraction where you will find Montergueil market .
The Capital of fashion, food, art, music, culture, and history is waiting for you! You are only a few steps from great restaurants, theaters, cinemas, and, of course, nightlife. But, if desired, four Underground lines will take you from home to everywhere in Paris.

The house is in a quiet street that crosses two crowded 'Boulevards'. Anyway the apartment is completely sound-proofed in order to protect your sleep.

Our home would be comfortable for a couple or a family. The four-poster bed and a sofa-bed can sleep up to 4.
The bathroom is new and has shower and jetted Tub (Jacuzzi).
The Kitchen is fully equipped for gourmet cook and is hided besides a corner Bar.

A kind concierge (he's like a 'maitre d'Hotel') will greet you and supervise all your needs. We are no smokers and we ask to guests not smoking at our home.

Convenient location and comfortable stay!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property in Paris. As a family of four, we found it to be both spacious and incredibly comfortable. The interior was exactly as described, and it truly felt like a home away from home. It's clear the owners maintain the property as a space they would happily live in themselves.The only suggestion I would make is to consider updating the flooring, which could enhance the overall experience even further.The location was fantastic, making it very convenient to reach key spots in Paris via Uber or public transport.Overall, an excellent stay—we’d gladly book again!

So great!

An owner and a manager were very kind. The room is clean and widely, all bathrooms also have complete set of something necessary. You could also be relieved for a mail also to answer immediately. I'd like to stay overnight.

Paris Olympics

My friend and I stayed here while we visited Paris for the Olympics! The location can’t be beat. It’s walkable to so many sites and restaurants. Our favorite patisserie ended up being right next door and I still think about their croissants daily. The only issue we ran into was check in with the concierge. The bottom needed to call them was covered when we arrived and it very well could have been our phone plans but the number we were given to call didn’t work. Eventually we found the concierge and made it into the apartment, that truly was the only hiccup our entire stay. I am already planning a trip back and will strongly consider staying here again!

We stayed in Paris as a Graduation gift to my son Colby's girlfriend Kenzie who just graduated High School in the US. It was the trip of her dreams and the apartment was the icing on the cake. The apartment is just as Mauro represented it. The location in Opera was perfect. The area seems very safe. Restaurants, shopping and sight seeing abound in this area! The metro was easy to navigate and handy! The apartment itself was cozy. The value for the apartment is great, especially compared to staying in a hotel room. Having the internet/e-mail/tv was very handy! Although the kitchen is small it was awesome to have! The lighting is somewhat low for putting make-up on but we did fine. We'll definitely rent this apartment again and cannot wait to return to Paris!

Charming apartment close to Opera Garnier

We were her for eight nights in early December. This is a great base to explore Paris. It's a five minute walk from the Metro, RER and CDG Roissy Bus and a 20 minute trip to Gare De L'Est and Gare Du Nord. Opera Bastille was 20 minutes by Metro, Tuileries Garden was a 10 minute walk and Musee D'Orsay was 20 minutes. The studio apartment is large, the bed is comfortable and there is plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen is appropriately equipped for a visit; you won't be cooking an eight course meal here, but you shouldn't want to. Checkin was easy as was checkout. WiFi was fine, including for streaming. There is a grocery store (Monoprix) five minutes away. Within one block there is a patisserie that has fresh bread every morning, several restaurants (mostly Asian, but some French too) and some bistros. We tried several of the restaurants and the food is was good.

When we arrived at the property the concierge was not immediately available, so we waited for some time to be admitted. She speaks NO English, so our discussion was not helpful. Most importantly, the shower was broken. This was never revealed in advance. The owner offered a small rebate but it was a miserable few days without a shower. They should not have rented the unit without disclosing the broken shower.

Wunderschön für einen Kurzurlaub als Familie

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in Carmens und Mauros Appartement. Alles war stilvoll und mit Charme eingerichtet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Einzig die Küche ist für vier Personen ein wenig klein, was wir aber vorab wussten. Der Empfang durch Concierge und Dolmetscherin war herzlich. Die Lage der Wohnung ist kaum zu übertreffen - zentral und sicher. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und unzählige Gastroangebote sind nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Die Kommunikation mit den engagierten Gastgebern verlief freundlich, schnell und entgegenkommend. Sehr empfehlenswerte Bleibe im Herzen von Paris. sehr Paris.

The highlight of our 10th...

The highlight of our 10th anniversary trip to France has been our stay in Paris in Carmen and Mauro apartment. On previous visits to Paris, we have stayed at some lovely hotels, but now we are totally spoiled by staying in an apartment. We hope to return as soon as possible! When you enter, you are first wowed by the charming décor, a lovely eclectic mix of antiques and modern furnishings. Also important, all of the appliances/bedding/plumbing fixtures are top quality. We also loved the location in the 2th: There are lovely cafes and restaurants within walking distance, and you are at the center of everything with a lot of choices as for the transports. We used the "the tube" and the buses quite a lot, and really enjoyed that. After a day of exploring, coming back to our beautiful and comfortable apartment to put our feet up for a while was so wonderful. We have also found from experience that even if a rental property is totally charming, it's only as good as the owners behind it. In their pre-planning and while you're at the apartment, Carmen and Mauro and and their local contact (Victoria) are just as perfect as their apartment. There are detailed instructions on how to use everything in the apartment ! We obviously highly recommend renting the apartment by Carmen and Mauro. You will be so delighted!

We stayed at the apartmen...

We stayed at the apartment for 12 nights and found it to be perfectly situated to see all the sites we wanted to go to.The Metro was a very short walk away,we walked to the Lourve,Galleries Layfette,food markets,shops and restaurants and were happy to come across quite by accident the Japanese restaurant area close to the apartment which had dozens of great Japanese restaurants to eat at.The apartment itself was very warm,well set up and felt like home.We strongly recommend it to other travellers.

What a great location! Ve...

What a great location! Very near the Opera, multiple metro stations- so easy to get around from here, and a lovely area to wander on foot. This was one of the largest apartments I've rented in Europe, and certainly the most well equipped! I had resigned myself to curly (read frizzy) hair for the whole of our vacation, but thanks to Carmella's thoughtful placement of electrical devices, I was able to have myself in some of our travel photos. Everything went without a single glitch- the wealth of information we received ahead of time made getting to the apartment super easy. A great visit- thanks so much!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Carmen & Mauro's Opera Apartment in early June 2008 and had a wonderful experience. This was the first time I rented an apartment and was a little apprehensive. However, everything went off "without a hitch." The directions to the apartment were outstanding. Once we arrived, Victoria was there to show us to our room, which looked EXACTLY like the pictures on the website. We received our initial deposit within a week of our return. It was a seamless and hassle-free process. Two Metro stops are literally a 2- or 3- minute walk away--Opera and Quatre Septembre. Opera is a great metro stop because 3 different metro lines go through here, making access to other parts of the city quick. My favorite feature of the apartment was the location. Getting from Charles de Galle airport couldn't be simpler--just hop on the Roissybus. Other than a few stops at the other CDG terminals, the only other stop was the Opera (about a 45 minute ride). From there, it was a short 5-minute walk to the apartment. I also liked that I felt very safe in this neighborhood, which is in the financial district. Most people wore suits. A bank takes up the entire block directly across the street. Of course, there were tons of restaurants in the area, including many sidewalk cafes along Blvd. des Italiens. A bakery and small grocery/convenience store are literally next door if you need a quick snack to bring back to the apartment. The bed was very comfortable, and the ceiling fan directly above it kept us cool all night. Overall, we had a great stay and will stay here again when we return. 2007/9/25 Dear Carmen & Mauro, we are very late in sending you a thank you note. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your apartment and will recommend it to friends. Your email directions and organization were superb and we appreciated the instructions on computer & t.v. use. It was clean, comfortable, friendly/warm and in a convenient location. Of course we did not know that we would be staying in the apartment for so many hours, due to Victor's injury. It came in very handy as we could make ice and had room to relax. Your trust in people also made us feel very welcome, as we trust people as well. The use of the computer was most helpful since I didn't need to walk to the internet cafe (also conveniently located! as was the Air France office) and leave Victor alone. We cannot say enough about Lucien & Victoria. I could not find ice cubes for sale in the stores & they gave me some from their home and came to check on us after the metro assault. On our last night they offered to drive us to Notre Dame but we declined their generous & friendly offer. They brought us a bottle of wine to take home & that was very sweet of them. We left them some chocolates & a thank you note but would like to mail them a letter of thanks. Would you mind emailing their last name so I can send a card? Thank you for your hospitality and take care. Your apartment made us feel at home even though the Paris portion of our trip was otherwise ruined. FYI, Victor's injuries are so severe & bruises so deep that he still walks with a bad limp 2 weeks later. Swelling of the calf, ankle & foot are very apparent. We never experienced anything like this but are glad nothing more serious happened. Doctors say it will take a month to recover. C'est la vie. Our family of four stayed...

Our family of four stayed in Carmen and Mauro's well situated apartment. It was wellcoming and homely and had everything we required to be self sufficient. Close to shops and restaurants and to attractions such as the Opera and the Louvre, made it perfect for our needs. Carmen and Mauro were exceedingly helpful to us via email and we look forward to future contact with them on any of our trips to Paris.

The owners had always the dream to buy an apartment in Paris. The dream came true some years ago. At the beginning they would have liked to keep the apartment only for themselves, but the maintenance costs are quite expensive in Paris! So they have decided to rent or exchange the apartment during the periods they were not there.

The properties are very special for the owners because they have been furnished and decorated for themselves. Every detail was chosen with an eye to style and design.
