Amazing Summer Getaway, 9 Miles from Sturgis, Sleeps 5, very private. NO ATV's

Looking for an exceptional rental? Our home is 9 miles from Sturgis, 13 from Deadwood, with 5 miles of GRAVEL road. (If you can’t ride your motorcycle on GRAVEL, this may not be a good choice). I ride my bike all summer to & from our home with no problem.
It has 3 bedrooms,1 king bed,1 queen bed, & 1 twin, (sleeps 5) 1 bathroom and an outside shower. Covered deck and large deck in front, Beautiful to sleep outside on a warm summer night and for relaxing after a long day of enjoying the Hills. There is a horseshoe court, and beautiful view. Close to the hill's attractions, yet secluded and beautiful. Deer and elk frequent our little piece of paradise often.
We do have 2 outside cats, they are friendly to you, so please be friendly to them.
Because of past issues, we DO NOT rent to any kind of ATV's.
Motorcycles are welcome.

Great home

Rented the home during the first week in August. The home was extremely warm the first few days with only a couple of small personal fans in the bed rooms. The online description stated a garage for parking. The garage was locked. The house had all amenities. A very nice log style house. Great location for Sturgis Rally and site seeing.

The Hills do get hot in August, although one of the great things about living up here is the nights cool off wonderfully, we open up the house in the evening, put the fans in the windows and doors, and it normally doesn't take long to cool down... sorry you were not satisfied. We don't advertise a garage, the shop on the property is a woodworking shop, This complaint I don't understand.

Dirt roads & no trespassing signs

We arrived to closed barbwire gates, 3 no trespassing signs and a sign that said don’t ask for help. 😳 At this point we had no cell service or WiFi to reach out to the owner so we held our breath and walked to the front door with hopes that we didn’t get scammed and about to get shot. The home is located on a washboard dirt road for 5 miles. We had two custom built brand new bobbers so we had to trailer our bikes to town. We paid over $2000 for a three night stay and the bed was mattresses on the floor, the kitchen supplies were garage sale quality. Living room sofa springs were so bad, you might as well have been sitting on the floor. We would not recommend this home.

In the description of our beloved home, we stated there is 5 miles of GRAVEL Road not DIRT Road, ( big difference) If a person is an experienced and capable rider, they will have no problem on a GRAVEL road. The signs are for the ATVs that disrespect the area. There is a landline if a person knows how to use one to contact the owners, or anyone else if needed. We built our home with lots of love and respect, it’s a beautiful home, and we love it. The kitchen has granite countertops and custom built cabinets far above “garage sale quality”. I don’t understand what the problem was about the beds and the sofa. They are extremely comfortable for us. The gate is so the range cows do not get into the yard and destroy things, this was explained in the welcome letter. I guess some people don’t know what it’s like to live in and appreciate the country.

Wonderful Cabin in Peaceful Location

Our family of 5 had a fabulous time at the cabin. Great place to relax at the end of a long day of driving and sight-seeing. Everyone said the beds were very comfy. Loved seeing deer along the drive and in the neighboring fields in the evening. Although the location is off the beaten path, it was central to all of the places we wanted to go and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The grill and deck were nice for our evening meals. Working with Geri to make arrangements was a pleasure. Highly recommended!

I love this house!

I wanted to stay for ever. When I first arrived, I felt a calm come over me. The roads are gorgeous and as you get to this beautifully hand made cabin, you can feel the love and caring it went into building this house. The stair case is breath taking and so are the views. Green, green green every where. The bathroom and kitchen and living room are spacious. The wrap around deck, awesome! I wanted to stay forever.
