Perfect location for our trip! Walking to shops and restaurants was super convenient. The check-in and checkout process went smooth and the apartment is well stocked with kitchen and bath supplies. We felt right at home!

The apartment was so awesome. Great large balcony to enjoy the view. Super cute decor and really comfy beds. I would definitely stay here again!
Very comfortable. Awesome location. Great place to view the 4th of July fireworks. We only used our car twice in the entire week due to awesome public transit (this saved us a lot of parking money and aggravation). We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Seattle.
The bedding and living space is incredibly comfortable. Deck and view is a bonus, though it was too rainy to use it much during our stay. Kitchen is pretty barebones; wouldn’t do too much more than breakfast cooking here, but it has what’s needed. The one downside: very little drawer space for us to unpack our things.
Great location. Clean space, comfortable beds.We were very happy with the deck view and the spaciousness of the place. With the door into the apartment being right at the top of the stairs with no landing, it felt a bit dangerous when leaving the place. And parking was rather challenging. But overall it was lovely.
This property was alright. King bed was great, plenty of space. The only problem was all the stairs! The stairs to the second floor was very steep and the door right at the very top stair with no landing to unlock door or to put your things down!
We are in our 70’s so it was a bit tricky and our dog is a small guy so we had to carry him up and down.
We had a great stay at this property! It’s in a perfect location. Super easy parking and downtown is just a quick drive away. I will say the only downfall is this apartment is on the the top floor of the house and the bedrooms got extremely hot at night. The living room has an awesome air conditioner but the cold air doesn’t make it into either bedroom. Real blinds or thick curtains may be nice instead of the see-through curtains as well.

Just a reminder that you were a guest during one the of the hottest days of the year. Less that half of seattlelites have any a/c at all.
Being this hot, especially with a/c is not the norm and not a typical complaint for this property.
Spacious, comfortable apartment on 3rd floor of an old 1905 house. My husband and I used the king bedroom - great mattress and fabulous pillows; there is also a queen bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked with newer appliances and a variety of pots/pans, but some were not clean and we had to wash them before using. Very steep narrow stairs led right to apartment door without a landing - a real challenge when hauling luggage. Great balcony and views of Seattle. We didn't have a car, so walked to restaurants and market (Marketime) nearby, and we took the bus/Lyft/light rail to Seattle area attractions.
Great neighborhood, but what is covered by the cleaning fee?
My sister and I stayed here in October 2019. It is in a great neighbourhood, with a deck which we would have enjoyed if it hadn't been raining and we appreciated all the information that was provided about restaurants in the area. It was lovely to have room to move around in, and in general the unit is as described. However, there were a few issues we had: the sitting area was a little tired looking (eg binding hanging down from a lamp shade, a frayed cushion, a drawer pull that came off in my hand); the cupboard in one of the bedrooms, and the chest of drawers in the other one were both filled with linens and a duvet, so not usable; there was no kettle, but we got round that by using a saucepan. This was our first experience with VRBO, so maybe this is usual, but we were surprised to be asked to strip the beds and start the washing machine before we left, and also to empty the garbage and recycling into the totes located at street level. I would have thought that these tasks would be covered by the cleaning fee. Since we were leaving at 6:30 am, I'm not sure what the people in the unit below us thought of this, since the washing machine was noisy.
Having said all this, we enjoyed our stay.
Spacious apartment, with a couple of issues that stop it from being 5 stars
Nice spacious apartment, beautifully decorated. When we arrived the building spelt musty, the landlord got back to us quickly and said that no one has ever mentioned this before.
There is a lots of room in the suite with great views, but very little storeage for your stuff- the dresser and wardrobe is largely full of stuff for the suite (I think one drawer out of like 6 was empty to be used in the main bedroom and more hangers would have been great.) there was a light switch for the lobby of the suite that was taped off when I contacted the land lord to see why, I was told that there should be no reason for it to be taped- i later learned that the only way to turn the light off is to reapply the tape.
There is a great gas stove which is hard to light (I have a similar stove so not sure what the issue is) and the kitchen has some chipped cups and no chopping board which just made things a little inconvenient.
On the whole it was a good stay, and with a couple of tweaks it would be a full 5 star.

Wow. Thanks for that three star review. That really hurts and seems really uncalled for. I suspected problems when you had so much difficulty with one light switch. I sensed you were a high maintenance guest.
No heads up on the chipped cups?
By the way, did you see the walk in closet? You were there for a few days. How much storage could you possibly need?
Try a hotel next time rather than hurting guests (who really tried to help you with your switch issues) reputation.

Has potential but could use some finer touches
Kelly was able to accommodate our early checkin which was very much appreciated. It is an older house that was renovated into multiple units, and so some items are given in an older place - not enough plugs, etc. The stairs to the top unit, where we stayed, was fairly steep and even with the handrail, was tricky when carrying items up and down. The place was clean and the living room was bright and comfy. Had the weather been a little warmer, the balcony and the nice view would have been perfect but it was too cold to sit out there especially since we got snow. We still enjoyed seeing the skyline through the sliding glass doors. We thought it would be noisier given the corner location but we were pleasantly surprised as it was very quiet. The house was freezing when we checked in, however, and it would have been more welcoming if the house was warmer, or the instructions to heat the house up more readily available.
Suggestions for improvement:
a. Print out instructions for the heater and the oven so it is easier to get them turned on. The oven was tricky and it ended up with the kitchen smelling like gas.
b. Some darkening shades for the bedroom windows would also help keep the light out when tenants are trying to sleep. With the days being so short in the winter, perhaps it isn't a big deal, but with longer days coming, it may be different.
c. A shelf in the bathroom would be helpful. While the storage closet was there, we didn't use them as we didn't want to confuse the rental items with ours.
d. Starter set of supplies would be helpful. We only had a few sheets of paper towels and didn't get to the store for a day. Same with coffee - although there is a coffee shop a few blocks down. Perhaps we're just used to having these starter items at our prior rentals.
e. The kitchen has nice appliances and definitely a plus for guests like us who plan to cook. Instructions for the oven would have helped tho. Also, extra dish towels. We only found one - and for a 5 night stay, we needed more than 1. There were plenty of bath towels, which was great, but we didn't want to use the handtowels for the kitchen. We only saw the large chef knife after we've done all our prep with two paring knives.
Overall, it was a decent stay - the price was reasonable and the owners responsive.

Some guests would be suited better in hotel.
I could tell this was the case as I (against my better judgment) let her check in check in SIX hours early and (shame on me) I didn’t get to the unit to turn the heat on. Although all of the instructions were in the email as all of our correspondences were done by EMAIL she still complained.
There is a designer (bertazzoini) range in the unit so the term “finer touches” is lost on me. I have never had that response and almost always get great appreciation from guests.
I don’t think I have ever received a 3 star review in this unit but I had a bad taste in my mouth about this guest.
You can’t please everyone all the time.
I will take note on the supplies and silverware etc. Those things can change rapidly and I appreciate guidance on this.
They left the place great but I generally thing this type of guest is better suited in a hotel.
I’m certainly unappreciative of such a lousy review.
This place is located on the second floor of a well maintained home that is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the commercial area of Freemont. The deck has a beautiful view of downtown Seattle and parking on the street wasn’t too difficult to find.
Very nice and well equipped kitchen and the host is prompt and efficient.
Beds were comfortable and there is a pullout sofa bed if needed (though this mattress was not too comfortable).
Overall - very nice stay and delivered all that was promised.
Wonderful decor- lots of space and a nice quiet location close to so much. I will say the stairs up to the unit are very steep so something to consider when booking. Great host- very available for communication .
Stayed for a couple days for some weddings, absolutely beautiful property in a fun neighborhood. Quick walks to nearby food & coffee and super close to downtown Seattle. Plus it has a gorgeous view!
I stayed in the apartment with my two sisters and our partners for weekend away together as we don't get to see each other much. So the place was just wonderful with the big kitchen and balcony with a beautiful view. It was perfect to be able to hang-out and enjoy one-another's company as well as explore the city together!
We were visiting family in Wallingford and this home in Fremont was within walking distance to our family as well as other great places.
We were on the top floor of the 3 floor house and all of the accommodations were great. There was A/C in the main living area which was awesome since it was a hot week for Washington (in the 90s).
We would love to stay here again if we come to visit our family again.
Thanks for the nice stay Kelly.
This is an old and quirky home in an amazing location. There were so many restaurants within walking distance and we were just a quick drive from tourist sights. The unit is huge and decorated nicely! It also has a very large deck with a stunning view of downtown and Mt. Rainer. The home is vintage and the unit shows some minor wear and tear (broken window cranks, furniture stains, and knicked up walls) but we loved it. It has definitely been upgraded and had a split system that came in handy during some heat. Our friends stayed in the unit below at the same time which was super convenient. These are great units for multiple families and friends. I would absolutely stay here again during my next visit to Seattle!
Kelly's property was lovely, truly! The large windows, the spacious living room, the comfy bed (there were 2 actually, but it was just me/only used 1), and the clean and well appointed kitchen were all wonderful. Plus, Kelly even had those extra things you never think about until you get there (scissors, ice cube trays, etc). The neighborhood is great too in terms of walkability as well as easy proximity to different areas. One note re the unit - the last few stairs at the top are steep or a little awkward if you have a person or pet who's unstable, so just plan ahead for that (my dog loved it there, but needed help with the steps, so just noting it :)) Thank you Kelly!
Fantastic property, from the impeccable decor to the gorgeous view balcony. Fremont was great for walking and close to everything in Seattle. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.
