Spacious Kitchen/diner with well equipped kitchen for relaxed nights in!
Large west facing garden with sunny terrace and outdoor dining and relaxing areas.
All five bedrooms are roomy and have comfortable beds with luxury bedlinen. There are 4 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet.
The house is located in a quiet leafy area of south London. At the end of the road is Tooting Common with gorgeous walks, a duck-filled pond, tennis courts to book and the largest outdoor pool in UK - Tooting Bec Lido. This was fully refurbished in 2024 and is very popular on sunny days!
Balham is within walking distance across the common with a great selection of bars and restaurants.
Easy access to London via Tooting Bec Tube Station (northern line) and Streatham Station (overground).

Lovely large garden 60' x 40', comfortable garden armchair seating with sofa and outdoor dining for 8 adults around table with cushions and armchairs and separate additional tables and chairs. Climbing frame. Please supervise children at all times on the equipment.

My favourite aspect of our home is the light in every room. The sun rises at the front and fills the house moving around to the rear garden elevation around lunchtime. Its delightful and beautiful Victorian architectural design at its best!

Why they chose this property

We came across this house 20 years ago when we were tipped off about the area. It is really leafy and the gardens are stacked with trees and plants, including a mature apple tree (eating apples), and there are lots of wild birds. The house is located in a popular enclave of grand family houses adjacent to Tooting Bec Common now protected by the Streatham Park Conservation Area. It is an architecturally unique road in the area where there are streets of large detached and semi-detached houses of unique designs.

What makes this property unique

The family home is unbelievably spacious and flooded with light with every room of grand proportions. We have opened up the Living Room spaces with double doors between the two, to create a wonderful open space from front to back of the house and views of the garden. The views from every room on every floor both front and back are pleasing. In the spring and summer the view of the garden is incredible. The view is so screened by trees and plants that you can barely see another house!
Tooting Common is at the end of the road while central London is an easy commute via Tooting Bec or Streatham stations in around 25 minutes
