** Interior decor/Renovations accomplished Spring 2024, new pics just uploaded 4/20/2024! The exterior was fully renovated / painted few years ago.

'The Shore House' is an amazing place to spend your vacation. It is a direct Navarre Beach property, you and your family/friends will walk straight out to the sugar white sands and the emerald waters of the pristine Navarre Beach!

This home was renovated to sleep 18 plus people! The house is spacious and open. The main floor has an open kitchen, dining, and living area and there is also a downstairs den complete with tv and bar! It provides a great place for extended family or large groups of friends to gather.

This property also has lots of outside space! The main level has a wrap around deck with a gas grill. The very top level has a balcony off of the master which provides incredible views of the gulf!

You will also find a small balcony off the second bedroom of the top level. The living room has a sleeper sofa if you need it. The largest deck space is at the bottom level of the house. This area could be used for a dance floor, a wedding reception, a large family reunion ... so many different events!

This house has five bedrooms. The master and two other bedrooms have king size beds. The other top floor bedroom has two queen beds and a connecting bathroom. The 5th bedroom is a bonus bedroom which is the bunk room! It has a full bunk bed and a twin bunk bed to sleep six, and a bathroom with shower. All are beautifully decorated and sure to please.

There are 5 Flat Screen TVs, great kitchen items (keurig, blender, new toaster, new utensils, etc.), and all kinds of space both inside and out. And of course, the Gulf of Mexico! There is a beach chair service provider out front if you do not want to bring your own stuff. This is the ultimate vacation spot.

Door locks worked inconsistently. Trash can not at house. Cans out by road but not identified as to that house. While kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, etc, there was not one bit of spices or coffee filters.

Home is nice but definitely needs some tender love and care. A home this size needs more cooking pans, kitchen utensils and some pot holders. The kitchen floor buckles amd needs be fixed. The location is excellent.

Family vacay

6 adults and 2 children. The house was spacious and everyone had plenty of privacy. The kitchen was wonderful and had every amenity. Easy walkway to the beach. The beach area was not congested and that was a must for our family and the reason that we chose Navarre for our family vacay.

A Wonderful Time

We had an amazing visit in a beautiful home with spectacular beach views! What more could you ask for?! The house was perfect for our family and friends! We love the Mardi Gras parade and this home was right on the parade route. This was an extra added plus for us! Parking was the only concern, but we worked it out!! Perfect vacation!!!!! Would most definitely stay again!!!

Great view

It definitely could have been cleaner, we found lots of rat poop, but it was so large and opened with great views that we were able to over look it. Also some notable weather damage, and the TVs has problems, but we loved that beach and the low traffic areas.

We love the house since it is right on the beach. However, my whole family was attacked by the mosquitoes. My son got bitten so many times, and his forehead had a total of 3 big "horns". Other family members had the same problem, especially when we stayed at the bottom deck closed to the grill. We did have a very good insect repellent, but it was kind of inconvenient since we could not stay out side that much. I would recommend the other guests to bring insect repellent, and if the property management can do something about it.

It was okay…

The house provided what we needed but for the price we wouldn’t stay again. We have been coming to the area for years and decided to stay here, upon our entrance my youngest daughter walked in the kitchen and ended up getting super glue on her foot, she was trying to figure out what it was and ended up getting it on her fingers. After tending to my daughter I smelt dog pee from the rug under the dining room table. I ended up getting some resolve carpet cleaner at the store. The beds were more firm than we were used to. And the bottom story bathroom outside door didn’t work. We had to lock the inside bathroom door to secure the bottom floor. The outside balcony and downstairs area got a nice breeze, but overall I think it was overpriced. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the grill worked just fine. We did wash clothes while we were there and it was fine. The house is right next to a big condo, we didn’t have any issues with it but during busy summer season I would think it might be more crowded on the beach. The beach area itself was really nice and there are a lot of beach toys me chairs to use during your stay. Overall it was just okay for my family of 7.

Family Reunion

This house was perfect for our large family vacation. There are a lot of stairs, but no one minded. That should be a consideration for older people. We loved the lower patio….so convenient to drop our stuff and pick it up again to go back to the beach the next day. The kitchen is large enough for several people to put together a meal, and lots of room for everyone to eat. We were missing one chair at the end of the table, however. Not a big deal, we managed. We never needed to communicate with the manager, but we were given all the numbers to do so, had we needed to. I hope the next family has a wonderful time in the house. We certainly did!

Christmas at the Beach

We come to Navarre every Christmas with our adult children and my parents. We arrived on Christmas Eve during some crazy cold weather. Shortly after check in, the outside shower’s pipes burst. George the Maintenance Man came right away and worked his magic so that we didn’t have to move! So thankful! The house has plenty of room and beautiful views! The neighboring house is VERY close but that wasn’t an issue for us but might be for some. The property was clean but the beds are not the most comfortable. There is only room for two, MAYBE 3 cars. The house was just fine for us but did lack some of the little fancy that touches that you might expect at this price. The rental company was super responsive and you could text with any questions or concerns. We had a great week!

Great location

Overall we had a fantastic stay at Navarre Beach. The house was the perfect location - Nice, quiet beach and beautiful views just as the pictures show. This property was the perfect size for our group of 12 - 5 adults and 7 teens. The downstairs bunk room and sitting area was perfect for the 4 boys. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked with high end appliances. The master bedroom and bath are stunning with amazing views. The downstairs deck area was the perfect place to store all of our beach items and we enjoyed the use of the grill and ate several meals on the picnic table. We did notice some strong, unpleasant odors in the master bath and kitchen. The outdoor area could use some sprucing up and nicer furniture. Some of the slats on the swings were broken. Lay down loungers would be a nice addition to the decks. Also some of the furniture: including mattresses and box springs, living room couch and chairs are worn and need to be replaced. We did very much enjoy our stay and look forward to another trip to Navarre beach in the future.

Could be great, house needs some love

Pros: The location is amazing. We love Navarre as a quieter gulf spot, but with everything you need still very close and convenient. This house is right between a couple condo buildings, and shares beach access with just 5 houses, so there’s plenty of room for larger groups on beach. The covered area for gear below and beachside balcony with great view make it very convenient. The kitchen/dining/living area is also very spacious; and comms with property management were seamless. Overall, we had a great stay with extended family. Cons: The house has clearly seen better days, & is not as well cared for as you may expect in this price point. Looks like storm damage over the years and a lot of wear & tear that wasn’t evident from the photos…scratches/warps in flooring, poor drywall patching, rusting/deteriorating exterior. The kids’ bunk room didn’t seem to have any air circulation and gets very warm and stuffy as well as some holes in drywall. The box fan found in the closet was the saving grace down there, and the single bathroom for 8 people sleeping on that level is cramped. The master bedroom likely once had blackout curtains, but now has sheer curtains on windows, and cheap blinds that leave a 20” gap at the bottom. The large sliding door facing the beach only has a pull-down honeycomb shade that leaves about a 6” gap on each side as well, so privacy at night or sleeping in for the morning aren’t really an option.

Your stay was at the end of our very busy summer season and there is some natural wear and tear deterioration we experience with all of our properties near the end of summer, as you might imagine with large groups coming in one after the other with only 6-7 hours between them to get the property back to the best possible shape. We will definitely take a look at the items you pointed out and make necessary correction and fixes once we have a break in the calendar. As far as the price point, this is priced appropriately for a 5BR beach front home of this quality, it is a very good house, but not a premium house and it is not priced as such - a premium house of this size and beachfront would costs thousands more. This is a very good value house for beach front and what it offers. Pics are deceiving

TV’s didn’t work for days. WiFi was in & out. Could not stream at all. Guest room has huge water bubble in the wall. Plug ins were iffy whet they worked it not. You could push some into the wall. Dryer quit working days after we we’re there. The second master suite had two beds in that room. The ice maker on the fridge made ice but could not get the ice to come out like it should. Only parking space for 2-3 vehicles which was told to us the day of check in. Still sand on the floor when we came into the house. Property needs attention. It’s basically just barely maintained. Needs to be updated in some areas. LAYOUT of the house is spectacular but that’s the best thing about the entire house. No lock on the downstairs bathroom. Roaches in the downstairs bedroom. My family and I have been going to Navarre for over 20 years, and have never stayed in a house this disappointing ESPECIALLY for the amount of money we paid for a week. Not impressed at all! The pics are very deceiving. House is yellow in pics also and now house is blue. Highly disappointed!

Thank you for the review. We have absolutely no control over the cable and internet situation other than to have the best package the cable company offers and that is what we provide. If there are cable failures we are beholden to the cable company to get them fixed, just like everyone else. We have full time maintenance for issues such as a dryer failure and we will respond that day to get it looked at and repaired, if we cannot fix we bring in appliance repair experts, if they cannot fix we buy a new dryer. This is a patently unfair review - the paint color? This is a brand new $30,000 paint job which is a huge upgrade? We pay for pest control at all of our properties including spraying for all bugs and insects on a regular basis. The pictures are not deceiving at all except for the House has been recently painted. I would try to go somewhere else if you can this year

The house is very nice, the overall location (Navarre) is also very nice. However, the adjoining lot is being built and it is a mess. There is no beach access now (the mess and construction is so close they had built the stairs that lead down to the beach onto this lot and there is literally caution tape blocking you from going to beach). The beach access the owners offered (which is a lot more walking when you are carrying all your beach things) is now flooded with the water tanks they put on the lot. It smells horrible-- especially the basement and under house). And while the owners say not to worry there are "quiet hours", all day long is the beeping, bulldozers, banging..... You really can't use the area under the house at all, and the decks are super noisy- even the master bedroom was very noisy (the construction workers were very nice in general). I realize it is beyond the owner's control- but they seemed to just minimize the issue saying it wasn't a big deal, and definitely did not offer any type of compensation for the dramatic decrease in value of the property while this is going on. At one point when they flooded the lot to put in the support foundation and put a port-a-potty literally at base of this house's driveway, blocked cars in for over 2 hours and blocked the beach access the owners stopped responding to my emails entirely (asking to let me know where property line is so we could figure out where to park). Next year I am sure it will be lovely place again, but this year is very rough and I would try to stay somewhere else.

Please read - In the summer/fall 2020 a new house was constructed next door to this house. This caused a lot of issues as construction and building in close proximity is not easy to manage and mitigate. The house under construction has been completed and the issues with the construction no longer exist and the house and surroundings are back to normal. Please book with confidence. Gulf Coast Getaways This is an unfortunate happening. For future reservations please focus on the description of the house. Yes, there is currently construction going on next door in a crowded space, however we have done much to mitigate. During these guest stays different things were happening beyond our control. We have since built new steps off of the back of the property for beach access paralleling the dune. Additionally, we informed the association of several violations buy the builder and they have sent a letter to make sure all rules of building to be enforced, including a fence which protects the beach access at all times. The guest mention something about not answering emails which is not true at all, we were very responsive at all times. Again, it is never easy when someone starts construction in an adjacent lot, not fun for us or our guests, however this is a temporary situation. We will continue to do whatever we can to make this temporary situation the least intrusive as possible. We were given exactly one day notice before they started construction and to be quite honest until now the association did not have a good game plan in place for the construction issues. Great location

Property was very spacious and a great location with direct beach access- which is a must with kids! Some small things need updating/ repaired, but overall a great house.

Beach Living at It's Very Best!

To start this review I must absolutely rant and rave about the location and Mother Nature's magnificence. This property is located on one of the most beautiful expanses of beach that you will find anywhere. White sands, extremely clean (almost no weeds, or natural or manmade debris), and crystal clear water. Fantastic! Regarding the property itself, we were very pleased. The views from it's multiple decks were amazing, and recent updates were beautiful. The the property was well furnished and amenities were extensive. Truly a great place for our group to enjoy the joys of oceanfront living, if only for a few days. If I were to cite a couple of things for improvement I must cite the check-in and check-out times. Checking in at 5:00 pm on one day, and checking out by 10:00 am on another day in essence reduces, for example, a four day stay to only 3 1/2 days. Are 7 hours really necessary for cleaning? A couple other minor things were that the keypad on the lower level was extremely temperamental (we almost never could get it to work), and while the grilling surface on the outdoor grill was clean the burner area (underneath the grates) was filthy. (It burst into flames as soon as we lit the burners.) I would also like to take a minutes to compliment the city of Navarre Beach. A lovely city! Clean, plenty of restaurants, and in close proximity to grocery stores and other retail establishments. I would also be remiss if I did not mention the pier. Amazing facility and a walk out to the end is well worth the time and effort. Bottom line: This property is highly recommended!
