Overview

Completely renovated in a modern alpine style and featuring a cosy wood-burning fireplace, Choucas is a very stylish and spacious ski in/ski out apartment for 6-8 people. Located on the side of piste in the heart of old Avoriaz, Choucas enjoys fabulous views from its large south-west facing balcony. Inside it is fitted to a high standard and offers ample space to relax in comfortable beds and sofas with carpets, throws and cushions. With two entrances, Choucas offers direct access to the slopes from the lower entrance as well as direct access to the resort centre (the Aquariaz water park and crèche are only 100 metres away) from its upper entrance. The resort centre with shops, ski hire, sledging and supermarkets is just 200 metres away.



Layout

This spacious 74 M2 5th floor apartment easily accommodates 8 guests. Arranged on a single level, the large entrance hall with ski and boot storage gives access to interior hall, large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, family bedroom with double bed and bunk beds + large family bathroom - modern fitted kitchen - dining room - living room with wooden fireplace - balcony with spectacular views.



Kitchen, living and dining room

The modern fitted German kitchen has fully integrated BOSCH appliances including a large oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, coffee machine, toaster, raclette machine & kettle. There is ample crockery, cutlery and glasses for 8 people and a wide range of cooking aids and kitchen utensils. Tea, coffee, salt, pepper, herbs, foil, dishwasher tablets, cleaning materials and toilet paper are all provided.

Decorated in warm and alpine style with a wood burning fireplace, carpets, cushions and blankets Choucas offers a comfortable and relaxing alpine home for up to 8 guests.



Wifi and TV

Private fibre optic Wi-Fi. Flat screen TV with cable channels, DVD player, free video library with a good selection of films of all genres, available in most European languages.



Bedrooms

There are 2 large bedrooms. 1 large queensize room with ensuite bathroom and 1 family room with a double bed and a bunk bed all with comfortable pocket sprung mattresses, goose down duvets, pillows and super fine Egyptian cotton bedding. There is an additional double sofa bed in the living room which opens quickly and is fully pre-made.



Bathrooms

With 2 large brand new bathrooms including 4 sinks, there will be no rush in the morning. One full bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and double sinks and another large family bathroom with a large walk-in shower, 2 sinks and toilet. Complimentary toiletries and towels are provided for all bathrooms.



Laundry

Fully equipped with a laundry room including a BOSCH washing machine and a separate BOSCH condensing dryer.



Balcony / Views

Large south-west facing balcony with spectacular views over Prodains and Morzine. Secure indoor or outdoor parking available (additional charge and booking recommended).



Children

Cots, high chairs, changing mats and a selection of toys and games for a wide range of ages, and family board games are available on request.

Fantastic apartment

Incredibly well furnished and equipped apartment right on the piste. Excellent for my family to just ski off right onto the piste and in 2 minutes be at the bottom of most of the Avoriaz ski lifts. As a non-skier I was happy to as just a short walk to Avoriaz “high street” with shops and restaurants or to Prodains lift to get to Morzine. Chalet staff really helpful. Would stay again.

Eine Wohnung zum wohlfühlen!

Die Schlüsselübergabe der Wohnung erfolgte zuverlässig und unkompliziert. Die bestellten Skipässe lagen bereits auf dem Esstisch. Spülmittel, Spülitabs, Geschirrtücher und Waschpulver war vorrätig. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit großem Backofen, großem Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle. Filterkaffeemaschine und Toaster ebenfalls da. Die Bäder sind modern und sauber. Föhns vorhanden. Die Wohnung liegt ausgezeichnet. Mit dem Lift zum Skikeller und raus aus die Piste, die zum Skilift führt. Alles in allem ist die Wohnung liebevoll eingerichtet. Durch die aufmerksame Betreuung von Nikki wird der Urlaub zur Erholung! Eine der großen Pfannen in der Küche ist inzwischen ziemlich kaputt. Das Teflon löst sich ab. Ich würde sie ersetzen. Ich fände es super, wenn ein beleuchteter Vergrößerungsspiegel im Bad wäre.

The apartment was perfectly located and the team were always available to help us out with logistics despite after hours, we had a great trip and loved the resort An additional map showing where the ski lessons are in the guest book would be a great help for future guests, we found the resort quite badly signposted and there was stress in the morning finding the correct meeting spot for the lessons

Wonderful Large Apartment in Avoriaz

The apartment is large and immaculately furnished, we were met by Philip on arrival for a useful tour. The apartment is very warm and cosy, we were a party of four but there would be no problems with a larger party. The kitchen is great with a proper oven and lots of space to prepare meals. The place is quiet and you are facing down to Morzine so the views are spectacular especially in the early morning. It is in a great location with ski in and out availability via the "Boulevard des skiers". A really great apartment for friends and also if you have a family.

We pride ourselves on making all our properties a really comfortable high quality home from home, kitting them out with numerous extras, which coupled with our high standard of maintenance and hygiene and our flexible approach helps to offer you the best ski holiday ever. We are old hands in Avoriaz so we know where to find the best lunch spots on the hill, the best après-ski bars, the hidden powder and the quiet pistes. We spend all our winters in Avoriaz and will be happy to share our tips with you and we will be in resort to assist you with anything you need during your stay.
Outside of the ski season, we can usually be found either on the move or on the water as we are keen travellers, sailers and scuba divers. We divide our time between London in the UK, Paphos in Cyprus and Phuket in Thailand where we also have a beautiful Thai pool villa for rental.

Why they chose this property

Avoriaz is a fabulous ski resort - it's high for reliable snow and due to its proximity to the Mont Blanc, it actually has the most snow sure record of any French resort. Being just over 1 ¼ hours from Geneva, it's incredibly accessible whether by plane, train or road. All our pretties offer skiing to and from the front door and the entire resort is car free, so its a snow paradise and very safer or kids. There are heaps of additional activities on offer beside unlimited ski-ing and snowboarding such as the Aquariaz aqua park, sledging both day and night time, ice skating, horse sleigh rides, ski joering, parenting... The properties all face south for spectacular mountain views and lots of sun s in a fantastic location with wonderful views. Being a compact resort, all the shops and supermarkets are generally within 100 - 200 meters. The apartment is fabulous inside too - really cozy and very comfortable with carpets, cushions and rugs, fibre optic wifi, Smart TV, a fully fitted modern kitchen with large fridge freezer and 2 modern bathrooms.

What makes this property unique

In a very peaceful location just five minutes walk from the town centre and true ski in/out access. Choucas is exceptionally large for Avoriaz with outstanding views across the pistes and valley.
