Lovely upside cottage. Ideal for bringing dogs . Dog paddock opposite, wahing area, tiled floors. We had a great weekend break helped by good weather.

It's not an easy property to get to especially in the dark but it was well worth it! I booked the accommodation for myself, sister and my dog. Due to a car breakdown I arrived a day late and my sister had to find the property in the dark - not as planned. My sister spoke to John who was very helpful in giving directions and checked the following morning to ensure she had arrived safely. Despite a complicated start, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay, perfect for the humans and my dog. Thank you.

Very nice cottage on a working farm. Well equipped. Easy to check in but name plate missing on gate so a bit of a guessing game that you are going in the correct cottage! We didn't have a dog with us but definitely a very good place to stay if you do. Kennel and walking field available. Excellent communication. Thank you

Overall, we had a good stay and the property was a great base for exploring the area.The property could do with a little TLC in places, and the standard of cleaning could be improved, as there were quite a few cobwebs with dead flys spiders and dust. grubby in areas. Could do with a good thorough clean. One issue we experienced was the number of flies, particularly at meal times. There is a horse stable directly behind the property, so whenever the windows or doors were open, flies quickly became a problem. We ended up buying fly sticky catches. So could do with a uv electric zapper.Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay and found it to be a convenient base for our stay.

The cottage is on a farm, we have had no appreciable rain in months. Harvest has been a month early, there is combining across the whole County. Harvest is dusty, noisy and attracts a high incidence of flies,which brings in the spiders. I am afraid that is the Countryside we can do little or nothing about it. Hopefully the good things about the countryside outweigh the bad. I could say avoid holidaying at harvest but it is hard to predict some years we have been ploughing through mud in October. I am afraid you were just unlucky with the weather,could have been worse could have been raining

Grooms Cottage Review

Having stayed in Grooms cottage this year and Keepers cottage last year, I would highly recommend this holiday destination. Not only did the cottages have everything you need the manager was very prompt with a few queries I had. A lovely place to get away from it all.

Quiet and reasonably priced

We stayed here for a wedding in Trebetherick. Which meant a couple of expensive taxis but the ability to wind down quietly away from the rest of the party was nice. The accommodation is upside down so that meant a nice breakfast on the balcony . Certainly stay again if the opportunity arises.

Grooms Cottage.

Great central base for exploring North Cornwall. Cottage had everything we needed. They had thought of everything. Perfect holiday location for those bringing their dogs. Great stay! Will definitely be back.

Amazing Cornwall

Great property, great location to explore Cornwall. Local beaches exceptional and access to fabulous coastal walks and Bodmin moor. We felt relaxed in this cosy barn conversion just wish it had been cold enough to light the wood burner. We would definitely go back and would recommend it

Rural and beautiful

Lovely location, next to a small farm. Great views from the balcony, stars at night were spectacular. Nice waking up to the rooster and cows. Our large dog loved the securely enclosed paddock with a lake in the middle. Extremely cosy and warm cottage.

Very quiet relaxing location in a comfortable corrage. If you are not accustomed to driving through very narrow winding lanes it could be a bit challenging getting there but definitely worth it. Very informative folder of places to visit also provided.

Nice little property on a lovely friendly farm. Superb for dogs with their own dog friendly paddock. Plenty of outdoor space for bikes and kit. Living room /kitchen well equipped and comfortable. Double bedroom quite a squeeze for two people with luggage An enjoyable stay
