About this property
Sunny, Modern Apartment in Vibrant Downtown Asheville King/Double 2BD/1 BA
Live like a local in this spotless, comfortable home, complete with brand-new appliances and plush furnishings. Admire the tasteful artwork, daydream on the sun-drenched sofa and sink into the softest beds in this chic, classically decorated space.
Unless guests need anything or have questions about their visit, hosts do not interact with travelers. Once guests are confirmed, access information is provided to travelers in the reservation details, under their traveler account.
Travelers will have the benefit of knowing the host is local, as well as assistance from his friendly guest services team, who has an intimate knowledge of downtown Asheville and enjoys providing guests with an easy booking process and most importantly, recommendations for a memorable Asheville experience.
Situated in the heart of downtown Asheville, the apartment is close to nightlife, restaurants, public transport options, and beautiful local parks. Savor the vibrant art scene with its galleries and museums, or kick back with a locally-brewed beer.
Please note that, as often is the case when staying in a downtown neighborhood, you will inevitably have encounters with folks from all walks of life, including members of the unhoused population of our city. Among the neighbors on our street, is a service center that helps folks find housing and you will no doubt see some of their clients as you are walking down the street. We welcome you to read our reviews and notice that by and large, our guests feel safe and unbothered by this fact. Moreover, Downton Annie is a secure building with security cameras, locks, and the local police are never far if you feel unsafe but we want our guests to be able to have all of the facts at hand so they can choose in accordance with their level of comfort, as you will read in the reviews that it's not for everyone. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask before booking - we're here to set you up for a satisfying visit.
Guests have the entire apartment. The apartment is in a building with three other units that also host guests. The back stairs are shared with one neighboring tenant on the 2nd floor and the first floor has two units. The apartment building's front door provides access to an interior set of stairs, is common space.
Finally, there’s an answer to champagne tastes on a beer budget: the hip, affordable and new-to-market Downton Annie Apartment # Four. One of Asheville’s freshest rentals, this sweet suite doesn’t sacrifice luxury for affordability: bold artwork and stylish furnishings, sprinkled with a helping of modern chic, decorate the apartment – the epitome of Asheville’s artsy-cool vibe. All four Downton Annie Apartments include one off-street parking space. Summit the stairs to this top-floor apartment, situated right in the center of Asheville’s vibrant arts scene, and open the door to a space bathed in creativity. Pops of color pepper the apartment and metal-mounted graffiti art and local WNC landscape photography decorate the walls. Twin bedrooms offer cushy Tempur-Pedic mattresses – take your pick of king or double -– and the kitchen is outfitted in high-end Ikea. Walk back downstairs, and at your feet are all of Asheville’s downtown eateries, art galleries, breweries and cultural destinations. Downton Annie # Four is Asheville’s up-and-coming vacation rental: new to the market, it’s only a matter of time before this sweet little deal gets discovered.
Public bus stops are all over downtown and the corner of blocks.
If you need additional parking for a second vehicle or for a larger sized vehicle , we can provide alternative spots upon arrival at no extra cost.
This is a dog-friendly property, but not cat-friendly. Please do not leave your dog unattended outside or inside. Please remember to pick-up pet waste. Please do not use bath towels wipe wet paws. About the host
Hosted by Sarah, reservationist

The owner, Jeremy Goldstein has made 32 North Ann Street a project since he purchased the property in 2002, slowly making improvements, while running his business in the building directly next door. Over the past 20 years, Jeremy has built a successful multi-disciplinary real estate practice. Jeremy graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Studies. He held salesperson licenses in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia and currently maintains broker licenses in North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Goldstein advises private and institutional investors nationwide in the acquisition, disposition, and financing of commercial property. He married an Asheville native, and together they moved to Asheville to raise their four sons. He spends his “free” time traveling with his family to their sons’ sporting events. Eventually, he hopes to get back to hiking and biking in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. But for now he manages to get to Crossfit — unfortunately well before the sun comes up, in addition to serving as Chairman of Asheville Planning & Zoning Commission and board member to Irene Wortham Center.
Why they chose this property
Like any such investment, careful thought and attention to detail are important. The properties location next door to Mr. Goldstein's offices, made the undertaking manageable, and a worthwhile investment.
What makes this property unique
In addition to the superb location, the Apartment has been completely renovated with brand new appliances and furnishings. The beautiful artwork is of the surrounding mountains and local graffiti art. Travelers will have the benefit of knowing the owner is in the building next door, as well as assistance from his friendly guest services team, who has an intimate knowledge of downtown Asheville and will work to provide guests with an easy booking process and most importantly, recommendations for a memorable Asheville experience.
