Far Cry is a 1935 newly renovated 1 bedroom cottage nestled in the foothills of Colorado Springs. It is conveniently located steps from Stratton Open Space with numerous trails for hiking and biking, minutes from Seven Falls, North Cheyenne Canon, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the famed 5 star Broadmoor Hotel. Create your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen or grill your favorite dinner on the deck overlooking the city. We supply a selection of coffee and teas for your enjoyment. Your dishes, flatware, and glasses are all provided.
Luxury bedding makes the cozy bedroom, with a queen size bed, a delightful escape.
Your bathroom will provide a tub/shower combo, heated tile floors, a washer/dryer combo and luxury amenities.
The living room is sunny and bright, with 7 large windows, mountain and city views,
A gas fireplace provides a delightful bit of evening heat. The living room opens on to a sunny deck for your morning coffee and a grill if you desire an evening meal at home.
TV and Free WiFi are available and if you listen carefully your may hear the quarter hour chimes and an occasional song from Will Rogers Shrine on Cheyenne Mountain.
There is the opportunity to view lots of wildlife - even an occasional bear!

This house is a wonderful hideaway. It's tucked out of the way, but close enough to the city to be able to visit restaurants. It's close to Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, Seven Falls and Helen Hunt Falls. It was cozy and bright. Definitely one of the better places we have visited.

I have owned this cottage for many years and grew up in this area attending local schools and hiking this area for many many years. For me it is the perfect location for a peaceful retreat or a busy vacation.

Why they chose this property

The property is located in the southwest of Colorado Springs. It is a fun, quaint and quirky neighborhood with narrow winding roads and tiny houses. The area originally housed many TB patients coming for the cure in the pure mountain air! Medicine thought it was a benefit to sleep in unheated porches and many of the little houses were home to many of these patients.

What makes this property unique

All who come to stay or visit this property seem to love the cozy feeling it brings and the wonderful sunny rooms. The property offers a wonderful location if you just want to relax, be busy hiking or seeing this spectacular city! Autumn is especially lovely. Clear blue skies, cool nights, shimmering aspen and colorful scrub oak make this a delightful retreat!
