About this property

Lovely, beautifully furnished 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage for 2 adults. Perfect for your honeymoon or romantic getaway, but if needed there is room for 2 small children on the living room sectional. You are overlooking a Crystal clear waterway that leads to the Halls River. The River runs thru several lakes on its way to the Homosassa River then to the Gulf of Mexico. Good fishing in crystal clear water right off your patio. Bass, Bluegill, Mullet, Porgy, Sheepshead & stingrays are some of many different varieties that frequent the area. The cottage is a great area for sight seeing, manatee, porpoise, otters, turtles and stingrays frequent the waterways off your dock. Several great blue heron, ibis, many bard owls and wood storks also frequent your back yard. There is a great variety of birds in the area.The waterways are bird sanctuaries . You have a dock for a small boat and plenty of room to park your boat and trailer. The cottage comes complete with life vests, 4 person paddle boat, 2 kayaks and a canoe. A lovely yard that is fenced on 2 sides has water on the other two sides. A quiet and charming area to relax.

Tranquil away from it all and extremely relaxing amid the water forestry and wildlife

Great place to base yourself whilst exploring further afield. Great water and wildlife. Loved the fishing bars and restaurants. Freezer is a must!

Four days to remember

We stayed for four nights in December 2014. Even in December we ate dinner on the patio three nights out of the four. The cottage is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean; we were continually noticing yet another treasure. The location is perfect. We enjoyed visits to the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and to the Crystal River Archaeological State Park. Despite the quiet location in the woods a Publix supermarket is conveniently nearby. For the rest, I endorse the positive comments of previous reviewers. We are determined to come again to stay in this wonderful place, it truly is one of a kind; we hope especially to come when the days are longer to enjoy the evenings by the river. Finally I must mention Dennis’ warm welcome. In short, a very, very special place.

perfect peacefulness

This was the perfect place to relax and get close to nature. Every day was a great adventure. We saw a manatee, otters, bald eagle, alligators, barred owls, several different hawks, turtles, emus, water snake, osprey, and plenty of fish! The place is surrounded by lush woods an is very private. The hosts were wonderful and friendly. We will be back as often as possible! Love this place!

Paradise Cottage

Tranquil, with your own private aquarium! This place has it all, inside and out! Close proximity to shopping, parks and restaurants! We didn't want to leave, and we are certain we will come back! Excellent host!
