Plenty of room for our large family. Beds were very comfortable, spacious common areas for catching up & playing board games. The lake & dock were phenomenal! Will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
Very nice view of the lake. Hostess was great and the home was a little dated, but everything a lake house should be. Hope to go back next year. See you soon!
A little dated, but very clean and great location. We had to have a place for in between selling our home and purchasing our new home. Worked out well.
Charming house with floor to ceiling windows provided us a panoramic view of the lake. Plenty of space for entertaining inside or outside. We spent most of our long weekend on the back porch enjoying the view and the bbq grille. Also we liked the proximity to plenty of restaurants and breweries - within 5 to 10 from the house.
Would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at this home. The description is very accurate. The back porch was our favorite spot for morning coffee and sunsets. Our dogs enjoyed the large yard and walks in the quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the convenience of stores nearby. Renting the pontoon boat was a definite perk!
Just got back from 5 days at this property. Everything worked as it should. While it is a little dated, it is clearly posted in the description. Went with the family and dogs. The location was excellent. The view was beautiful and it was nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.
What a nice spot to sit and enjoy the lake. The house was rustic and nice. We wish we could have rented the pontoon boat but it was too early in the season. Marty was always available and quick to respond. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
We loved our stay. Quiet, convenient and very private. The yard and view was exquisite and we were very comfortable. Some of the house was kind of dated but we have come to expect that in pet friendly rentals.
Beautiful property with so much space for our family and dogs! Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and even a pontoon available for rent. This will be a yearly family affair. Wonderful.!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It rained the entire weekend, but we were so relaxed here. Beautiful views of the lake. Comfy rooms. Like other people have mentioned, could use some updating, but still a terrific home. Would definitely stay here again.
Grandkids had a great time swimming off the dock. House was clean, beds were comfortable. The cove was great for swimming and water activities. We rented a triton for a couple of days and it was very easy to dock.
We had a great time. The property was as advertised.
I highly recommend

My name is Marty and I manage my families rental properties here on Lake Norman. I am originally from West Virginia but made Lake Norman my home in 2015. I manage the 3 rentals on the property for my family, and live close by to easily over see them all. I am also a licensed real estate agent in the area. If you are potentially interested in residing in the area please do not hesitate contacting me for more local information!
Why they chose this property
This property really allows you to experience the beauty of Lake Norman with its open and inviting lay out. It has a 1.5 acre lot and large back porch. The house is slightly back in a cove, but just around the corner is open water and the main channel. Being in a cove, the house is very relaxing and quiet. My favorite part is the fact the house faces the west and you get the most breathtaking sunset!
What makes this property unique
The house has a very open floor plan and glass sliding doors that give you a full view of the lake from where ever you are in the house. It was built in the 1960s, so I would definitely say it has a retro and unique vibe. For example, the house has a surround sound intercom system you control from the kitchen and can hear from any room! Turn on the local FM station and you can jam throughout the whole house! The house also has an indoor fire place and an outdoor fire pit. I also have included a propane grill, with 2 picnic tables (one on the patio, one on the dock) and patio furniture so ample enjoyment is possible. There are also kayaks and a paddle board!
The dock has 2 ladders for you to go in and out of the water. It has a picnic table at the end, and a floating piece to attach a boat.
If you are interested in renting lake toys, I rent out the pontoon boat. Westport marina (very close to the house) rents out practically every water toy you can think of.
