About this property
Cabin w private hot tub - dog-friendly
The Basswood Cabin is a dog-friendly cabin with a kitchenette, 2 BR (one queen and bunk beds), and sleeps 3 comfortably.
The Mill Creek Cabins experience is quite unique and special. As you arrive, you'll pass wineries, the beautiful Finger Lakes (either Seneca or Cayuga), Amish buggies, and finally you'll find the Cabins among the Finger Lakes National Forest. Check-in is a breeze and you'll notice that you are one of only three groups who are enjoying the property. You'll start your evening by grilling up some burgers and enjoying the porch. You might take a dip in the hot tub before settling in by the fire pit. Plenty of firewood and charcoal are available for purchase.
When you wake up the next morning, Mary from Taste of Wine Country Cafe will deliver your breakfast. Not a morning person? She'll drop the order on your front porch and you can get it when you roll out of bed. Coffee maker comes with coffee, creamer and sugar. If you are a morning person, maybe you'll enjoy a hike! There's a one mile path around the perimeter of the 40 acre property.
There's so much to do in the Finger Lakes during the day. Lodi is located between Seneca and Cayuga lakes. Mill Creeks Cabins is surrounded by the Finger Lakes National Forest. While it feels completely remote, the beginning of the Seneca Wine trail is less than 5 miles (9 minutes) away. When you get back, you might take advantage of the yard games like volleyball, yard darts, bocce ball, and croquet. After all that activity, you'll probably want to settle in with a movie - each cabin has access to Netflix, Hulu and Disney +, and you can sign into any of your own systems. Or, go a little retro and watch a DVD!
Amenities: -Hot breakfast delivered between 8-9 am each morning -Pet-friendly -Kitchenette -Fire pit (firewood available for purchase) -Charcoal Grill (charcoal available for purchase) -Hot Tub (private, outdoor, open year round) -Coffee bar, with coffee, cream and sugar provided -Onsite one mile walking trail through the back 40 acres (avoid during hunting season please, Nov-Mar)
A note on cleaning fees: * We charge a cleaning fee. This fee offsets our costs for turning over the cabin and the hot tub in between stays. We do not enter the cabin once you have checked in (unless there is an emergency or you ask us to). * Charging this fee allows us to be flexible in stay length. Having a one-time fee incentivizes longer stays, and makes a one-night stay worth the extra effort! * We are CHORE-FREE! No chore list upon checkout. You do not have to vacuum, do laundry, take out the trash, or strip the beds. We provide light cleaning materials in case there's a spill.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Fantastic little cabin in the woods within the heart of the finger lakes region. Has everything you need (kitchen items, linens and blankets, smart TV, wifi, board games, even robes for the hot tub!) and is cutely decorated. The management communication is great and the daily breakfast is a huge perk. Only drawback is the hot water takes a while to heat up. We would definitely stay here again.
The property was super cute. The hot tub was a great addition. The beds were very comfortable. The only downside was the lack of storage for clothes and toiletries if you are an over-packer like us. It was in a very good location to be wineries and breweries that were on the east side of the lake.
Spent the day at wineries and the cabin was the perfect place to retreat to after. The hot tub was awesome! Robes & sandals were a wonderful touch. Thank you!
Great retreat. The hot tub was a perfect 103 degrees, and they even provided robes and slippers! The management was extremely well organized and responded promptly. Would love to come back.
Great little cabin. There are a couple other cabins on the large property, but everything is situated so each has privacy. Check in was effortless. The homemade breakfasts delivered to the cabin each morning were delicious. The hot tub was GREAT. The ONLY small drawback was the water in the shower never got above lukewarm. Overall, it was a terrific place to stay and we had a great visit!

What a wonderful experience from start to finish. The cabin is perfectly located and super clean. It has everything you need. Our little pup Mazie loved every minute. Every town or place to visit was within 30 minutes max. Breakfast every morning was super yummy and a great plus to kick off the day. We are already planning for 2023. We loved the privacy but proximity to everything you need.
The property was very clean, cozy, and welcoming! They had plenty of basic features to help with the stay such as fire starters, utensils, board games, movies, plenty of blankets and towels!
So many little perks while staying here. Very quiet, can see the stars and smell the fresh air. Hot tub stole the show!!!
Lots of wineries are local, atleast 20-30 mins for town or restaruants.
Amazing views all around.
Breakfast is a great addition.
We definitely look forward to our next chance to stay here again, planning to bring the kids with !
This cabin is great. Set right in the middle of wine country. It's not a far drive to the lake.
The cottage is very well maintained. The staff were very professional and helped me with every amenity I needed.
The hot tub was a blessing. It was very relaxing.
Our only complaint was the lack of hot water. There is a sign in the bathroom that tells you to be patient and wait 3-5 minutes for hot water. It started to get warm, just barely body temperature, but went cold again after 2 minutes.
Our goal for this trip was to revisit the Finger Lakes area in upstate NY to see the peak fall foliage; hike to see some of the beautiful waterfalls; bike a rails-to-trail distance; walk our small pups on a trail; enjoy the scenery & local cuisine; and just relax.
This cabin-in-the-woods accommodation was perfect for all of the above! We knew there would be some driving for 20-30 minutes each day, but that wasn’t a problem given the scenery! So much to see & partake.
The cabin offered what we needed for comfort & convenience efficiently. There was ample space for us. The propane stove worked well on the very chilly mornings. The daily offered breakfast was just what we needed to start our day:) The hot tub was an added bonus.
Our pups looked forward to a daily walk on the grassy trails beyond the three cabins. We appreciate that extra perk. We would definitely recommend the cabin! Best to use Siri to navigate in the area if not familiar with it.
Super communication from the host! Response time was very fast. Thank you for the experience!

Wow! This cabin and the entire area are amazing. There's a little fenced in doggie area, a hot tub, a fire pit (and wood for purchase), a charcoal grill, a picnic table, and so much more. Beds were comfortable - one queen and one bunk bed. Sofa pulls out to a futon, I believe. Pots and pans, coffee maker, small stove/oven, regular sized fridge with ice cube trays, cutlery, plates, glasses, mugs, and a kitchen table with 4 chairs.
We had perfect weather so we didn't use the space heater or the gas fire place. Just slept with the windows open! Fell asleep listening to the frogs and the crickets chirping away. ...and woke up to the rooster crowing! LOL! Not loud, just funny - Country Living!
If you didn't see the smoke from the two other cabins, you wouldn't know there were other people staying there. But all 3 cabins are close enough to walk to easily and would make a great private getaway for a group traveling together. You'd have the whole place to yourselves! And 3 hot tubs! LOL! It is so secluded and peaceful.
And you are smack dab in between Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake. We went wine tasting at each lake during our 3 night stay - there are some wineries that are very close!. We also ventured down to Ithaca to check that out.
Mills Cabins is a perfect place to go and relax. Whether it's a girls' weekend or a romantic getaway.
I could not feel lucky enough to have found this amazing place to spend our 3-day trip. The cabin was cute and cozy, staff were helpful and accommodating, clean place with amazing outdoor charm! We spent a lot of time sitting in the adirondack chairs enjoying nature or warming up in the awesome jacuzzi. Loved the location, the cabins are a far drive past some farmlands. Truly beautiful and we would love to return. Not to mention the convenience of enjoying a prepared breakfast every morning!! STAY HERE, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!
What can I say! This was our first visit to the Finger Lakes and we loved our stay at the cabin. It was my 50th birthday weekend getaway with my husband and our lab. The cabin was very clean and cozy and had just what we needed. It was secluded and quiet yet close to the Senaca wine trail. Our 1st night there it got a bit chilly and apparently we were the first to use the stove for heating and the pilot light needed to be turned on. I notified Rebecca the next day and someone was out shortly after to take care of it. We had another issue when using the microwave the next day as it blew a fuse and the power went out on the microwave and the refrigerator and again I notified Rebecca and someone was there in about 10 minutes and had it taken care within minutes. The host was quickly responsive to any questions we messaged about.
We loved our daily walks on the trails on the back of the property with our lab.
And the breakfast delivered by Mary was delicious and a nice start to the day. We had 4 breakfasts from her and each day it was something different.
I highly recommend staying here! You will not regret it. We hope to come back again sometime!
Cabin wasn't the cleanest when we entered. Nice quiet property with the right amount of amenities for a short getaway! Close to wine tastings and other attractions, good location.
Your host Sara was raised on a farm outside of Pittsburgh, but she has lived all over the world, including Philadelphia, Chicago and Melbourne, Australia. Nowadays she spends her time in the Finger Lakes, and in addition to the Mill Creek Cabins, she owns and operates the Brookside Cottage in nearby Interlaken and New Park Event Venue & Suites in Ithaca.
Why they chose this property
The Mill Creek Cabins were built in 2006 and have been owner-operated ever since. Sara purchased the property in 2018 after Mike and Brenda retired, and she's excited to continue their work taking care of the land.
What makes this property unique
Mill Creek Cabins is totally rustic - you will drive through farm country before you reach your home in the forest. Yet you get hot breakfast delivered each morning, and you have access to a private hot tub. The manager and maintenance staff live near the property.
Mill Creek Cabins is the only pet-friendly glamping experiences in the Finger Lakes that offers a hot tub, fire pit, charcoal grill, kitchenette, onsite walking trail, and breakfast delivery!
