The property was amazing! Susan and Graham were incredibly nice and responsive to every question I had. Their cat Rory was an extra special treat. Location on the island was perfect. I would recommend highly to anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing place to stay.

Banstead Cottage is a lovely, quiet escape but within fairly easy reach of Hamilton and its many amenities—about 25 minutes or so on foot but very quick by bus or taxi. The nearby bus stop makes the entire island accessible, and we spent our days exploring. The ferries, part of the island’s transportation system, are very good as well. We elected not to rent an electric vehicle or motor bike, but used taxis a few times when the bus schedule didn’t fit with our plans.Close proximity to the Botanical Gardens, the Botanist Cafe and the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art is a real plus—a short walk behind the cottage and main house that doesn’t require crossing South Road, which tends to be busy at certain times of day. Capping everything off is the private pool—the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day. Or a beautiful place to spend an entire day if you’re in the mood for something more low-key.Susan and Graham are warm and welcoming hosts, and we appreciated their hospitality and engaging conversation. We were even befriended by their cat Rory! Banstead Cottage is a special place—not to be missed if you’re looking for a peaceful and secluded Bermudian retreat that’s still close to all the island has to offer.

Excellent stay!

This location is close to Hamilton and Elbow beach. It’s a very nice property with a pool and tennis courts and an electric car charger. The bed is super comfy and the decor is up to date. The hosts are really nice respectful of privacy. I would highly recommend this property!

Cute and cozy cottage!

The cottage is adorable, beds were very comfortable, and location is very central for exploring the island.You can easily travel the entire island using a bus pass, cottage is very close to several bus stop options.Fabulous Café with great coffee next-door in the botanical gardens.Susan and Graham very helpful and friendly and are just next door if you need anything.

This is a hidden treasure in Bermuda. I can no longer stay at the high priced resorts. This has a single cottage, a pool and right next to the Bermuda Botanical Gardens. Private and the hosts here very professional. I will only stay hete in future trips.

Peace and Tranquility

Susan and Graham were such gracious hosts. Susan left muffins and cookies to enjoy for the morning. Cottage was just like it was pictured and very conveniently located. I would definitely return again for another wonderful stay. Thank you!

Perfect get away from NY

Bermuda is a beautiful Island!We very much enjoyed our stay and meeting the hosts.They were very nice and made us feel welcomed.We were close to the Horseshoe Bay Beach. We loved it so much we went there twice.Our cottage was perfect for two of us and the location was perfect. All the Bermudians we met were very nice and very helpful. Only 2 hours from JFK airport, NY and you feel like you are in paradise. Thank you to our host and the people of Bermuda!

Home away from home!

We loved our stay at Banstead Cottage. It is a great location for going all over the island. Best if you enjoy mopeds! We relied on the buses and taxi's. It worked! The cottage was cozy and the patio delightful. A bit cool for the pool but we managed a dip on a warm afternoon. Susan and Graham are friendly and great hosts. The weather was quite changeable as it was March but for those of us from Boston, it was a welcome dose of warmth and beauty.

Lovey host, pool and property

The hosts could not be more lovely and the property and pool were great. The outdoor furniture could use an update or even setting up with cushions and sofa covers off would have made it more appealing. A few touches might go a long way... providing some beach chairs and a cooler because no one would bring that on vacation with them and it's no fun to go to the beach for the day with just a small towel. Also while there is a bathtub, there is not nearly enough hot water to ever fill it more than a couple of inches. On the plus side, the cottage is very clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool was lovely and inviting. Probably the best thing about the stay, other than their friendly and loving cat, Rory, who we adopted for the week! The rental has everything you need, but just seemed a little lacking in some extras that could have easily made that stay that much better.

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. There is a switch which controls the hot water tank which the gas it accidentally turned off during their stay, which was an easy fix. We keep the outdoor sectional with its comfortable cushions covered well it’s not in use to protect it from the sun and rain and is easy to slide off at any time. We loved having you and hope to see you again.

This was our first trip to Bermuda and we could not be happier! The cottage was cozy and comfortable and such a lovely location. We really enjoyed the pool in the evening after a long day in the hot sun exploring the island. We didn't want to leave!

Wonderful Cottage in Bermuda

We loved the very private cottage and pool in Paget! Susan was amazing, and had great communication. The pool was wonderful, and kept clean. The tennis court on the property was also a real luxury! We loved the grill (a nice Weber gas grill, much better than you would expect at most VROB rentals) and cooked fresh local Tuna right by the pool. We rented a Twizy, and. there's a charger conveniently located in the garage. The location is good, right next to the botanical gardens, although it is a bit far from the beach, so a moped or Twizy is recommended. We loved visiting Warwick Long Bay and Jobson's Cove, about a 15-minute drive from the cottage. You will be glad you booked this rental, especially if you like playing tennis and having a private pool to swim in afterward! A+

One of our best trips ever

My wife and I had an absolute blast. The key factor that enhanced the entire trip was our host Susan and her husband Graham. Susan provided just the right amount of day to day attention. When we had questions, she was very responsive. They were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The cottage was just as represented on the website. It was spotless. And although walkable to Hamilton, the beaches and right next to the Botanical Gardens, it is a very private location. We typically did day trips, ate lunch out and made our own meals in the cottage's fully equipped kitchen. Our trip was in late July, so of course it was hot. Coming home after a day of running around and being able to jump in our own private pool was really nice.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, and having a pool to ourselves was an incredible bonus. I loved absolutely everything about this holiday the accommodation was more then excellent it was above and beyond excellent as were the hosts, who lived in adjoining property where absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. Wonderful Stay in Bermuda!

This was our first time to Bermuda. The cottage was home from home and the Hosts were the most gracious helpful people one could ever wish for. The cottage was clean relaxing and had all the amenities one could want on vacation, this together with the private pool and tennis courts in lush landscaped gardens made it a true paradise. We will be going back there!
