Was overall very satisfied with the property. The location was great. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the hot tub. It took forever to heat up, so if you are wanting to use it in the evening, make sure you turn it on in the morning.
Clean place to stay close to Estes with nice view off deck. Only issue was it was hot that day and night didn’t cool off. No air conditioner and only 2 of the 3 floor fans provided worked. Would have been great stay if air conditioning was available.
We really enjoyed the hottub on the deck after driving all day. Thought the place was easy to find and was very clean. Cute rooms, perfect size for 2 of us and a dog. By far, though, the best feature was the great access to the beautiful creek in back. The only hiccup was out of the owner's control and that was a loud neighhbor. We would definitely come back .
The canyon river cabin was right on the road outside of Estes Park. It had cute rustic decorations, a full kitchen and a great porch to enjoy right by the river. Perfect for our evening after Rocky Mountain National Park.
We loved our time spent at this cabin! Very clean, perfectly stocked for 2, and great fly fishing out back (on private property—so no one else was there). Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway!
We enjoyed our stay. The traffic on nearby road was a bit noisy and the loveseat not super comfy but other than that it was great! The view of stream from back patio was nice!
Cute small old motel at one time possibly. Has a leaky faucet in kitchen and mattress needs replacing. Nice and quiet even though it was on highway. Beautiful creek in back. Hard to find at first didn't know it was called Cole's .Riverside

Nice but overpriced
Lovely cabin right on the river. For the price, though, we were disappointed by:
not enough gas in grill to cook hot dogs
only two forks in the kitchen?
no "one pager" explaining how to access wifi, TV or cooling fans
no extra blanket for cool evening temps
Great location with the deck right on the Big Thompson. Took a video so my Mom could hear the water. My family has visited Estes for many years but it had been a long time since my last trip. The room was a perfect for for our needs. A place to rest, clean up after hikes etc. and run into town (3 miles) for meals etc. We found the cottage clean and quiet, a perfect spot to spend a few days in Estes!!
We are from Greeley and just came up for the night. We went downtown Estes for dinner then came back to the room. We sat in the hot tub under a completely clear sky! We could see every star! The sound of the river is very calming.
We did contact the owner. He got back to us in a matter of minutes! Very easy process and a great night away. We will be back!
Great stay!Lovely location right on the river. Daily elk visitors were amazing. Property was as advertised and clean. Location is right next to the highway but the sound of the river made this less noticeable. Back deck on the river is very calming. Owner communication was prompt. There are some things to know before you go. We rent VRBO’s for two main reasons: to be able to cook our own meals and have our fur babies with us. - The kitchen: only includes the bare minimum. One fork, one pan, no large bowls, no larger knives, no filters for the coffee maker, not stocked with essentials like foil or simple spices. If you plan on cooking, bring what you need or you will have to be very creative- Furniture: Outside chairs are there but falling apart. Inside couch and chairs not comfortable. We used the pillows from the couch to make sitting outside or at the kitchen table more comfortable- Water: has a strange taste. We bought water for our cooking and consumption needs. - Cleaning supplies: all that is there is dish soap. Nothing to really clean with. No sponge/scrubber, sink cleaner, vacuum, etc. - Internet: very weak- TV: it’s all streaming so almost impossible to watch- Crazy neighbor across the river: she spends a lot of the day staring and swearing loudly at you if you are outside. All in all, it was a good stay. Just a little less relaxing with some of the challenges.
Property was nice, clean, and convenient. There is no backyard access from the back exit. You have to walk around the property to get to the water. The deck furniture is outdated and needs to be replaced. There are other properties on the other side of the waterway, so there is no privacy on the back deck, as you are also directly next to your neighbors. The back does not lock securely, so do not bring anything valuable with you that you cannot take in your vehicle when you come and go. Property owner was easy to get a hold of and communicative.

A Toss Up
There were some great things and some not good at all things. Overall, the room was cozy, warm, well decorated, comfortable, and we loved the hot tub near the river. What we didn't like was: we were given no check-in directions so when we got there, we assumed there was an office. There was a room that seemed like a permanent residence, and the woman (Wendy?) there did come to the door... however, we were not greeted as she was on the phone (in a very loud, negative conversation with LOTS of swearing), and we were not given any directions. We tried the door to the room we thought was ours. Luckily it was unlocked and due to the pictures on the site, we knew this must be our room. At no time during our stay did Wendy greet us or even say hi. Though on the 2nd day, we did get to hear her again in another loud phone conversation were she dropped f-bombs in nearly every sentence. It was very disrespectful and rude.
The room was not overly clean. There were grapes on the floor. The light fixtures and fan are incredibly dusty and with plenty of cobwebs. You are right next to the highway, and you do hear cars all day and night.
Under other circumstances, this motel-like room would be a nice place to stay.
Also, be careful. We were charged the summer rate, even though we rented in December and the winter dates/rates are posted on their website.
