Brech Mountain House has been part of our family for three generations, and sharing it with guests has allowed us to see a place we have loved for years become part of other families’ memories too. We enjoy giving guests the space and privacy to make the house their own while they are here, whether they are gathering with family, exploring the Hudson Valley, or simply slowing down for a few days. We take great pride in caring for the home and want every guest to feel comfortable, welcomed, and well cared for during their stay.

Why they chose this property

The Shawangunk Mountains have a beauty and peacefulness that is hard to describe until you experience them. Brech Mountain House gives you the quiet of the countryside while still being close to so much of what makes the Hudson Valley special - hiking, waterfalls, wineries, orchards, New Paltz, Mohonk, Minnewaska and beautiful small towns to explore. We especially love the changing seasons, the wildlife, the mountain views, and how quiet the property becomes at night.

What makes this property unique

Brech Mountain House is more than a large vacation rental. It is a spacious stone home surrounded by more than 50 acres of Hudson Valley countryside, with Shawangunk Mountain views, Beaver Creek running through the property, mature trees, wildlife and room to truly spread out.
The house is especially well suited for families and groups who want to stay together without feeling crowded. Guests can gather around the large kitchen island, relax on the deck, soak in the hot tub, play ping pong or foosball in the game room, enjoy volleyball and horseshoes outside, sit around the fire at night, or simply find a quiet corner of the property to enjoy.
It offers something increasingly difficult to find - plenty to do without ever having to leave, along with privacy, space and easy access to some of the Hudson Valley’s best destinations.
