We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful historic home! The house was exceptionally clean, thoughtfully stocked, and had absolutely everything we could imagine for a comfortable stay. The host was excellent with communication, and check-in and check-out were easy and flexible, which made everything seamless. We’ve stayed in other beautiful homes in historic towns with lovely scenery, but some have been bare-bones when it comes to amenities. This home truly stood out because of the care and attention to detail that went into making guests feel welcome and at home. It was the perfect combination of historic charm, comfort, and convenience. We would absolutely recommend staying here and would happily return!
Amazing house near the Minnewaska/Awosting Preserve. Very well stocked pantry with essentials, incredibly flexible host, and overall just a great big house. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Fantastic everything. The host does a great job with making guests feel welcomed and supported. Added to that, the environs make for some great hikes and views. My family and I will be back!
Jeff's house has it all! Beautiful gardens, beautiful interior, and all accomodations included (firewood, enough lawn chairs, lawn games, and full bar). He was very responsive to all our questions and I would 110% recommend a stay here!
We stayed here for two nights with a group of 12 for my wedding weekend, and it was absolutely perfect! The place was clean, spacious, and beautifully kept. It had everything we needed — the kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels and essentials were provided, and there was more than enough room for everyone to relax comfortably. The host was responsive and friendly, and check-in was super easy. It was the perfect home base for such a special weekend we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Highly recommend for large groups or anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped getaway.
Our stay at the Woodmoor House was exceptional! Jeff was a gracious host. The house was extremely well appointed. The rooms were tastefully decorated and, except for a mattress in the large attic room, the beds were comfortable. The common areas were large and varied, allowing for a variety of different activities to happen in-doors on rainy days and in the evenings (with the supplied internet-connected projector, we were able to catch many of the World Cup soccer matches). The deck was delightful—a favorite spot for meals and extended conversation. The large mowed yard allowed for family games, like our annual wiffle ball championship! The kitchen was without a doubt the best appointed kitchen we have ever had the privilege of using: not only did it have virtually every possible culinary gadget, but Jeff also provided many of the typical staples and spices. We were able to prepare a number of truly memorable meals without any hassle whatsoever. And, of course, the area around Cragsmoor was rich in beauty and in opportunities to enjoy nature—just minutes away. The views from Sam’s Point and Bears Nature Preserve were awe-inspiring; the trek through the Ice Caves was filled with surprises; and the trails and swimming at Minnewaska State Park were challenging and refreshing. Sunsets, starry constellations, and fields of fireflies re-centered us around important and enduring values. A week to remember!
My family and I had a great stay in Cragsmoor. Plenty to do on the property, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable accommodations, and great views an easy walk away. It was perfect!
Our stay at Woodmore House was magical. The house itself is charming and spacious. Very comfy beds in spacious bedrooms. Bathrooms are clean, modern and very convenient to the bedrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked with essentials and tons of
We had a group of nine in the area for some hiking this weekend. The house is very spacious and comfortable for a large group. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need and we enjoyed fires in the living room. The area is beautiful and the Stone Church down the street was an extra bonus!
We really loved our stay at Jeff’s property! It was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was stocked so nicely so that made things a lot easier. Jeff was also very quick to respond whenever we had any questions. We had 15 of us staying there and we
Everything about this experience was top notch from the first message with the property owner to the last. The location was even better than described. Everything was perfect. All the little touches really made a difference. Heated bathroom floors, cute toilet paper rolls, lots of games, and electric bikes. We can’t wait to go back and visit again soon.
This place was incredible! It's cozy, clean, and had a great historic feel. We hosted a group of adult students for a program nearby and this was a great place for them to unwind after a day of class and get to know each other, while also having independent space. Jeff was so helpful and available to answer any questions as they arose. He was flexible and friendly; the kitchen was stocked. We definitely hope to return!
We rang in the new year here with a large group - adults, kids, and dogs - and the house was wonderful. Everything is well stocked and thoughtfully laid out and labeled. “Cozy” here isn’t a real estate euphemism; the decor and overall feel is very warm and comfortable. The kids (ages 5 to 9) had a great time with all of the kids books, movies, and dress up outfits provided. I imagine this experience really shines in the warmer months, but don’t pass up on a winter stay!
Stayed here as four families (including 5 kids under 6) for New Year. The house was just as described/pictured, comfortable and beautiful. Really well laid out with lots of communal space. Great amenities, and everything was well labeled, so easy to find. Seems like a nice quiet area, any neighbors while outside saw were very friendly. The stone church and overlook down the road were an exciting bonus. Host was very responsive and very generous. Would highly recommend a stay here!
Our family loved everything about this house. It is the perfect combination of old meets new. The location is in a secluded area; however, just a short drive to everything you need. The house was spotless and very comfortable. Do not hesitate to book....this is a true gem. Jeff was fantastic to work with, very responsive, and his hospitality was second to none. We would not hesitate to book again!
Loved the house, it was fully stocked. Enjoyed hanging out by the fireplace with family. Cooked with ease, I didn't have to search for any cooking apparatus. When we went out to eat we went to Aroma Thyme Bistro and Gaby's. Jeff communicated really well with me. I would definetley rent again, and don't forget to visit Sam's Point.
The house had baking supplies and all the ingredients besides milk/eggs we DoorDashed what we needed and made cookies then breakfast! All the things needed to clean afterwards. Enough towels shampoo, conditioner and body wash was in both showers! Laundry detergent and dryer sheets to do laundry! He communicated very well! house was beautiful!
Amazing house. Amazing owners.
Always in touch. They prepared everything to us. Towels, drinks, Christmas tree, speaker, games, TV in each room….
They did all for us.
Incredible location. Stone Church 6min walk.
Everything was clean.
1000 thanks for Jeff and for everybody who helped him to prepare house for us.
If you are looking for a house for big company, for sure it is the best place
Jeff's place is a gem! The entire house gives a historic cabin vibe while being fully remodeled, but keeping the same charm. The kitchen is one of the most well stocked kitchens I have ever seen. I think there were more spices and ingredients than my own kitchen has! Our group of 11 had a wonderful time eating together at the long table and sitting in the living room relaxing. We took advantage of the speakers and projector. The neighborhood is so quiet and friendly. The views are stunning especially from Stone Church and Sam's Point. We also enjoyed using the e-bikes. Our stay was amazing, we just wish we had more time to enjoy the lovely amenities at the cabin!
I would describe the Woodmoor House as old meets new with a funky groove.
Woodmoor has plenty of room to spread out. Our family of 12 gathered in all of the spaces, but the kitchen seemed to be the favorite. How many homes have a sectional couch in the kitchen? The house has many unique features throughout. The weather was a bit uncooperative, however we were able to fit a hike to Sam’s Point Preserve, corn hole competition and grilling/eating on the back deck in between rain showers.
There was plenty to do inside if we had to stay inside. The Bose stereo system and piano are a bonus for music lovers.
Both got their use. Bedrooms and beds are comfortable. Everything about the house is comfortable and cozy. You’ll find everything you need. We highly recommend Jeff’s home. He is very accommodating, in touch and available. Jeff and his home will not disappoint.
