4th Floor Oceanfront Condo in Turtle Dunes!

Feel your worries melt away when you take in the gorgeous ocean views from our 4th floor Turtle Dunes Villa in the Amelia Island Plantation (AIP). Updated appliances, beautiful hardwood and tile floors throughout, and high-end furnishings make this property an ideal place to stay for a relaxing beach getaway on Amelia Island. Both bedrooms offer stunning ocean views and private balconies.

Thoughtfully stocked with everything you'll need, 1848 Turtle Dunes is conveniently located for easy beach and pool access. Codes are provided to guests for the beautiful and spacious Turtle Dunes pool and the Dunes Club tennis courts. Golf is available at many great courses in the area, including Little Sandy and Oak Marsh within AIP. Bike and golf cart rentals are available nearby for guests' convenience.

In front and behind the Turtle Dunes complex, guests can access the many walking trails in the AIP. These picturesque trails wind through the oceanside and marshside of the gated resort.

The AIP community is a beloved 1,340-acre paradise that is surrounded by maritime forests, tidal salt marshes and pristine, sandy beaches. Dining, shopping, and spa services are offered at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, located within the AIP.

Please note that a smaller dog under 50 lbs may be considered but must first be approved by the owner and management. There are breed restrictions, so please inquire for specifics. Guests must agree to certain terms and conditions. A $150 nonrefundable pet fee will be required and guests must sign the pet agreement. If the pet fee is not automatically applied at booking, it will be after the reservation is created. Note that dogs must be current on all vaccinations, be house broken, be spayed or neutered, and must be sociable with people and other dogs. No cats or other pets will be considered.

Also, please be advised this private property is not a rental through the Omni Amelia Island Resort and does not give you access to "resort privileges or amenities” (i.e. the main Omni hotel pool, fitness center or shuttle service), and Racquet Park is limited only to club members and their guests. We will gladly answer any questions about area activities and our amenities.

As part of this rental, a custom digital guidebook is provided with thorough property information and our local area guide sharing favorite restaurants, attractions, and more! Excitingly, our guests are also eligible to receive a 15% discount on beach gear rentals. This villa truly is the whole package, both inside and out!

Turtle Dunes

We loved this property so much that we are going to book again next year. The views are amazing and it’s the furthest units south, so we felt like we had a private beach. Very clean, organized and just an awesome place.

Beautiful Beach Setting

Turtle Dunes is a beautiful place to stay at the beach. Great views from the condo, a very short walk to the beach, and the pool is very nice. Unit 1848 had everything we needed for two couples. However, the beds are softer than we prefer. Overall, this is a great place for a beach vacation!

Home away from home

We loved our stay at Turtle Dunes! 1848 is on the 4th floor and has an expansive view of the beach. You can go to the condo, pool, and beach without using stairs. (The first part of the beach is rocky, so keep your shoes on for a while.) The owners have thought of details to make your stay enjoyable and things you might need. There are two king suites, perfect for us and our grown daughter.

Beautiful!

While our visit coincided with a cold snap and slightly rainy during the first half of the week, it was very nice. The ocean view is amazing. Walking on the beach just steps away from the building was so relaxing. The unit was well furnished, well equipped, and there was nothing they didn't have. Rental process was smooth. They only problem we had was that the week went by so quickly. We'll just have to come back.

Very nice unit.

We stay in this area quite often because it is so beautiful and peaceful. With Covid raging, it is easy to stay spread out from others on the wide open beach or during walks/bike rides through the area. The condo itself is lovely and nicely stocked with everything! Beds and furniture super comfortable. Although we brought our own, there were beach towels and chairs provided. Kitchen has been upgraded and very nicely laid out with every possible gadget you could need. Much thanks to Ryan at Destination Amelia for information as well as a sweet treat waiting when we checked in.

Beautiful view! Peaceful location!

This is a very nice condo within a scenic resort. We arrived to stocked toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, napkins, and trash bags. It was also well stocked with any utensil we needed (with the exception of a can opener). Plenty of bath towels are provided as well. The beds are super comfortable. Overall, we were very pleased with the unit. The beach view is gorgeous! The beach itself is rough with crushed seashells. You have to go up the street for the public swimming beach, which was beautiful. The resort has a lot to offer. We rented bikes and explored a little, but didn’t cover nearly all we wanted to. Spend some time checking it out! If you need anything, Destination Amelia is very responsive and helpful.

Work Trip

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this Turtle Dunes property! As work travelers with a special needs dog, it is refreshing to find properties willing to work with you to make trips more productive. Our conference was held at the Ritz, and travel back and forth was a simple Uber ride away. Nearly all trips were less than $10 with tip included. The process at the gate is a bit challenging for Ubers, but navigable. The property is a wonderful upgrade from your typical hotel stay. It is not stretching it to say that this unit really does have 2 master suites. Communication with property managers was efficient. A handle was broken on the tub when we checked in and was in the process of being addressed - maintenance was coming in with new part as we were checking out. We had no issues during our stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Turtle Dunes and wished we could have stayed longer!

A Wonderful Week!

Positive Notes: This is a beautiful property, landscaped perfectly and the inside of the condo and location are fabulous! The balcony is large and perfectly located on the beach and the beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on!!! The condo was located right in front of the elevator which made loading and unloading our luggage very easy! The condo was clean and lovely. Negatives: Minor, but still somewhat aggravating: Neither of the television sets in the bedrooms worked and we had to call maintenance for this problem. Two of the lights had no light bulbs and this was also taken care of. One side of the dining table was not bolted down so if one placed his/her elbows or weight on one side it slid down making eating precarious to say the least. Also, the dining chair cushions need to be cleaned or replaced. There are dirty spots and food stains on them which is not in keeping with the rest of this lovely condo. Additionally, the kitchen appliances quit working and we again called the main office. The repair service asked us to open the fuse box and to trip the breaker which we reluctantly did, and it resolved the problem. Not a big deal, but just aggravating and a little out of line for us to be asked to resolve the problem. All in all, a great experience and great week!!!!!
