We had a great week at this place. The quaint farmhouse and accommodations were comfortable and we found everything to be as described. Although the house sits on a busy road, it is very private. The sunsets were amazing!
Thank you Marc and Sophie for a great week.
We had a fantastic time enjoying the charming home and property. Plenty of amenities both indoors and out. The kayaks, row boat and paddle boat were great fun and our children loved adventuring and swimming in the lake. The road in front of the house was surprisingly busy and the speed limit is not followed so be careful with little ones. Communication with the owners was fantastic and they were delightful to speak with when making arrangements.
House was perfect for our family . Son, daughter and grandsons spent a long weekend with us plenty of room for everyone. I felt like I was visiting my grandmas house ( with nice upgrades) Will consider again Thanks Marc and Sophia
The farm house property is a lovely spacious place to stay. The grounds are beautiful. Meadow flower gardens, tall trees and well maintained lawn surround a corky farm house with spacious island kitchen a joining a great room. There is also a memorable screened in porch on the front with a wonderful view of the Lake Champlain and her spectacular sunsets. The beds are firm but quite comfortable. Bring your own fun because the area is quite rural. Lots of time to reconnect, exercise or just be. The road it sits on is a Traveled road drivers are for the most part very curious and it is part of the Champlain bikeway.
Nice old house that has recently been remodeled. Marc and Sophia are great hosts. The surface water temperature in late July was 76 degrees! There are no weeds on the shoreline and you can walk out with a sandy lake bottom in chest deep water for 200' to the mooring.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Unfortunately did not meet our expectations; found alternative and left after one day.
Our expectations were for a waterfront house, and a quiet week. Unfortunately this property disappointed us, and we found another rental in North Hero and moved to it after staying just one night of our one week rental. The owner was surprised when we contacted her, and said this never happened before. We forfeited our rental fee as we did not feel comfortable staying at this house. It is an old farmhouse, and the layout is quirky, and we could not find a comfortable place to sit and look out at the lake. The furniture is vintage/unusual and there was no door on the bathroom adjacent to the upstairs bathroom. There was renovations in process that we were not told about. We realized there is a road between the house and the lake before renting, but did not expect it to be so busy and noisy. We left the house looking as it was not used, as it practically was not.
Charming old farmhouse with beautiful yard and stunning lake views
Front porch was the place to be for us!
Nicely appointed kitchen and pantry
We enjoyed amazing sunsets every night
Wonderful peaceful and relaxing vacation!
The property was wonderful for our two families on vacation together! Lots to do with the kayaks and rowboat, and swimming and fishing off the dock! The house was well-stocked with games and things for the kids during the few rainy hours we had. Plenty of room for everyone, and great space outside to relax while the kids ran around. The sunsets were amazing!!

Comfortable, clean, great location getaway to rest or explore. Beauty surrounds you.
The area is beautiful. The views are spectacular. The home felt like we were in a family home that's been filled with love and joy. It was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the mix of old and new.
The house had a lot of charm. It was a peaceful retreat. Exactly what we were looking for.
It feeds the soul looking out on the water. Thank you very much a wonderful week.

Charming home on Lake Champlain
We really enjoyed our week at this charming home which is obviously loved by its owners. The sunsets that you can watch from the house are stunning, but what we enjoyed most was crossing the street and relaxing by the water. The kids had a blast hunting for shells and sea glass, and we enjoyed sitting out on the dock where you feel like you're peacefully alone in the middle of the lake. This is exactly what we needed as a break from our everyday city apartment living.

Beautiful place and beautiful stay
We loved our time at this former farmhouse on Lake Champlain. The sun sets across the lake just across the shoreline road from the house, while a gorgeous perennial bed curves into view out the kitchen windows. Alburgh Dunes State Park has a sand beach nearby, and the house itself has a dock and raft at the rocky beach that is part of the property.

We were incredibly lucky to stumble across this beautiful farmhouse, brought back to life with love and care, along with a unique knack for design and decoration! Beautiful sunsets from the front porch coupled with amazing swims on the private beach across the street. Wow!!!!

February on Lake Champlain
My rental was from February 11 to February 20 2017. The area is my go to vacation spot but I have never spent time there in the winter- usually head to the mountain areas on the east side of the state.
I truly enjoyed watching the snow storms come in over the lake while just simply hanging out in this very nice home. It is an old house with all the charm associated with an old home. I like that- I live in a 100 year old house so I felt right at home.
But even though it is old it is very up to date with regard to kitchens, baths and is very clean and well appointed. I brought alot of my own kitchen type stuff but it was not needed- the home has all you need. A real nice touch was a desk top computer that the owners make available for general use if you need that. Wireless internet too.
The location is very relaxing and relatively private but very close to any supplies you need. My favorite place, the Harvest Market in North Hero is a short drive away so any food you may need is conveniently located. They really have an exceptional meat, deli and prepared food selection so I encourage you to check it out.
I'm looking forward to getting back to the house during boating season- looks like a great house for that also.
The owners are very nice and a pleasure to deal with.

Charming and relaxing!
We really enjoyed our week long summer vacation at this lake house. The house is charming and has great views of Lake Champlain and is steps away from the water. We especially enjoyed the paddle boat and canoe that comes with the property. The sun room looking out over the lake was a great place to enjoy morning coffee (they have an awesome espresso machine!) and before retiring in the evenings. The property is very close to Canada so it was fun to go over the border to get cheese at a close by cheese shop as well as see Montreal! Rouse's Point in NY is close by to and we found ourselves exploring that town and places to eat there as well. Some things we did that were close by to the property included the Ausable Chasm, Burlington, renting a boat at Apple Island Marina in Hero, and the alpine slides at Bromley.
