Just what I was looking for, laid back, peaceful, and relaxing. The hosts were next door and very friendly and accommodating. It was just a short boatride to the lakeside restaurants on Bemus Point. The view was fantastic and had amazing sunsets.

Chautauqua Summer Cottage

Perfect location close to everything. Cute cozy cottage with limited parking, only had one car not an issue. Owner is right next door willing to help and answer any questions you may may have. Overall we had an excellent stay.

Fishing vacation

Very impressed with over all stay. Fishing location of collage was outstanding for our type of fishing. All though weather conditions were not the best we did extremely well fishing and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Checking vacation schedule for next year and can hopefully return to same rental.

Great location for a perfect lake vacation!

The vacation was a weeklong, all with the purpose of fishing and spending quality time with friends. The house was in a perfect location, clean, and had enough space for more friends to join! We could not have asked for a better stay! The owners were close by and made sure to check if we needed anything or they could be of assistance. We plan on staying in the house again each year!

Serene lakefront cottage

Delightful house with full dining and living room and lake front sitting room. Lakefront deck with amazing, expansive views of Lake Chautauqua, amazing sunsets and the ospreys and eagles. So relaxing and lovely to sit in quiet outdoor setting that was close to farm stand, ice cream shops, grocery stores and 15 mun drive to Chautauqua Institute and hiking trails. We look forward to a return visit.

Other than the fact that the kitchen is very small and no room for the storage of any groceries it was great. Owner was very accommodating and patient with our puppy! Thanks you for a great time!

We have stayed at many VRBO’s and have always been happy. This one was no exception. The view of the lake was visible and beautiful from the time you opened your eyes until the day ended.The home was warm and comfortable, and the accommodations were comfortable. A good time was had by all and if circumstances provide, we will certainly try for a week next year. A warm thanks to the owners who were very accommodating.

We had a great time and the weather for our week was the most beautiful. Unfortunately for us, because it was great weather this summer we didn't swim as the seaweed growth was abundant and made the water somewhat uninviting. Although they do have a crew of college kids that come around and hauls a lot of the weeds away, which was nice to see. We did find things to do out of the water and rented a boat. Overall, Mr. Turner was a great host, greeted us upon arrival and was very responsive when we ran out of gas for the grill (our only issue).

Great stay for the price

Everything was great. We brought a boat so parking was the only issue due to location of property. But we figured it out and the host was very helpful with everything. I’d definitely go back.

Relaxation & Sunshine!

Very cozy and quaint cottage on the lake. Very comfortable for 4 adults. Master bedroom overlooked the lake and was beautiful. The second bedroom was on the frontside of the cottage and didn't get much airflow, but using the fans provided and those we brought along, it worked out great. Small kitchen, but large dining room table right off the kitchen made it workable. Spent the week outside on the deck overlooking the lake ... from morning coffee to late night conversations. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Right on the water; clean, simple cottage to enjoy the lake. Nothing fancy (no central air; one a/c unit in master bdrm) but a good pet friendly option to stay in Lake Chautauqua area.
