Walk into the front door and see all the way to the Cypress trees lining the shores of the Creek. Let the flowing waters lull you into a peaceful sleep in the well appointed cottage. In the morning awake to coffee on the deck and then outdoor cooking on the rock patio in the evening. It just doesn't get any better than that.
The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare any meal you would like.

If you are inclined to stay in, there is Spectrum cable, WIFI, TV and a DVD player to enhance your stay.
However, if you would like to go into town, it is just a short trip of 1.5 miles and you are in the center of the action.

Overall, we had a nice stay. The river was beautiful, location was convenient, and the house had pretty much everything we needed. I am only taking off a star because I feel the house is very overpriced. We stay in Wimberley frequently and have rented a variety of properties. I have stayed in a very similar location for significantly less, even taking into account that we stayed on a holiday weekend. I have also stayed in similarly priced homes that felt much higher-end.

This is a lovely place. Tho it rained our whole stay, and we couldn't enjoy time in or at the water, it looked amazing from the house. I will say the trek down to the water can be a bit treacherous if you are a little "older" - a handrail at the stairs would be a great addition. Regardless, we had fun watching football and exploring the area. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Beautiful view of Cypress creek from the back patio. We had stayed in the smaller house next door at a previous date. This time we were with another couple and this home was a good size for that. The Cypress creek was a wonderful 70 degrees mostly shaded. The water was lower this time but didn’t affect us at this location. Very close to Wimberly’s restaurants, shops, HEB, and ACE hardware.

Amazing Stay

This is my family’s third time to stay at the casita. We’re absolutely love the proximity to the river and the beautiful cypress and open land across the river. The kids loved exploring the river, mini waterfalls, and observing nature (birds, fish, tadpoles…). The adults loved floating in the cool water. Bonus, though we were there in mid to late June, we still got to see fireflies every night! This is a very special place.

Obviously, the photo above is not me. However, it is my grandson, and that big fish is one of many that he caught in Cypress Creek at Azul Casita. He fished while we worked on the cottage. It was quite a summer.
We would work all day and then stop and enjoy the evenings on the back deck until we just had to go on home and get a little rest.
We even talked about moving there we liked it so much. Then I thought about moving and decided we would give others a chance to enjoy this great place.
My husband and I have been living in Wimberley full time for the last 2 years, and up until then, we spent every weekend here. Our whole family is here. Our 2 sons and our grandson and granddaughter, who is a cheerleader for WHS. We have a very full life just keeping up with all of their activities, but enjoy the vacation rental business as well. That is why we bought Azul Casita and her next door neighbor Amarillo Casita. We are happy to report both cottages have been renovated and are ready for happy, fun vacationers to visit. Give it a try, you will be glad you did. A little piece of heaven, and throw in a little magic, await your arrival.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because of the absolutely gorgeous setting and The wonderful cool, clear, deep water here on Cypress Creek. There is no other place like it in Wimberley. We feel so fortunate to be the owners.
Maybe retire here. What a thought!

What makes this property unique

This property has such a unique location. We are only 1.5 miles from the downtown square, but when you are here you feel as though you are far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You are able to unwind, relax and just be.
However, if you demand more action, just drive 1.5 miles and you are there.
