Set near the mouth of Alsea Bay and the ocean, you'll have incredible views all around. Walk up the back hill for ocean views, and see the Alsea Bay Bridge from the front of the home.

The upstairs living area feels spacious with vaulted ceilings and tile floors. Watch a movie in the living room using the flatscreen TV's Blu-ray DVD player with heat from the fireplace, or play games at the dining room table for six.

The kitchen comes well equipped with everything from major appliances to a microwave, dishwasher, and coffeemaker for budget-friendly and delicious home-cooked meals.

Three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a great room with a flatscreen TV make up the downstairs level.

Venture out to explore Waldport - rent kayaks and paddleboards, dine on tasty seafood, souvenir shop, and go crabbing and fishing off the dock.

Family reunion on the Oregon coast

We stayed here with our son, his wife and two children 8 and 10. The structure of the house worked very well with grandparents upstairs where the kitchen is and the rest of the family downstairs where the kids could walk outside and play in the sand. There's a rather large dune that you have to walk over to reach the beach.

Last Minute Trip to the Coast

We needed to make last minute plans to come out to the coast. We were looking at hotel rooms until we found this affordable home. It was comfortable and pretty clean. It was a great home base for what we needed to accomplish. We would stay there again. We do wish we had a better beach view, but the short walk was not too bad.

Nice location but…

Nice house in a pleasant setting but needs a very deep clean. Dirty pots, mold in master shower, broken grill and dirty light fixtures detracted from the stay.

Spacious lovely house

Great Vacation Home

Loved this house. Only thing is you cannot see the ocean from the house, but a quick walk up the hill and you can see, so not too much of a problem! Everything was perfect, and we appreciated all of the seasonings and amenities in the kitchen for guests to use.

Comfy accommodations, room for the whole family

We had a wonderful stay. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Two queen beds and two twin beds were a perfect size for my family. Just a short walk over the dune to a beautiful beach. Location is very quiet.

Weekend getaway

We had an amazing time staying here. I booked it to be home base for a Halloween photoshoot I was photographing. House has all the basics you need, plenty of room. Only downside was the WI-FI, if everyone is using their devices the tv streaming won’t work. Will most definitely stay again.

Not small child friendly

This space is not small child friendly. The living space, along with the kitchen, is on the 2nd floor. The stairs were steep, I was expecting that, but the railing had pretty big openings that a child could fit through. There were no screens on the few windows that opened. Also, the walk to the water requires a trek over a hill and down a steep dune. The house needs a deep clean and updated furniture. The instructions for the TV look like it could have been for a different TV. The 2 queen beds were comfortable enough but the master bed is very high off the ground. This was not good for small children sleeping next to you. We couldn't use the room that had 2 twin beds because it was too far from the master and right next to a door that leads outside.

Comfortable beds. Nice beach. If you like watching things on all the screens this is a good one. If you like to sit and read or do something with your hands, not so much. NO lamps anywhere in the living areas.

Not a young child friendly house

Unfortunately this house is not for small children. We understood there were stairs but the railing along the stairs and second level had big enough gaps for a small child to fit through. The walk down to the beach did have a pretty big drop off. It was difficult going down the dune and getting back up. There should be more information on the listing with how steep the drop is. The smaller kids room is right next to a door that leads outside and the lock is really easy to turn so the 2 year old couldn't sleep in there. There were no screens on any of the windows and only a few windows opened. The furniture is pretty outdated and lots of stains on the chairs on the first level. I love this area and have stayed in rentals on this street before. This house just needs a deep clean and some newer furniture. The listing really should have been more clear about parts of the house that aren't small kid friendly. Had I known this, I would have rented a different place. We wanted to spend more time at the water but the difficulties walking up and down the dune with 2 very small kids did not allow us to do so.

Nice house

The house has a beautiful living room layout, it’s very spacious. It is close to the beach, although you can’t walk directly onto the beach currently because there is now a big drop off. In the past you could actually walk down to the beach from the back door. The location is nice. A few small issues I’ll mention are that there is no tub in the master bedroom bathroom, a few of the lights are out in the living room.There was only one trash bag in the kitchen and the lock to get in and out was a little confusing a few more directions would help. The WiFi was unplugged, more information that would have saved us a call to the support to figure that out would have been helpful. It is overall a nice place good for groups with kids. Beds were very comfortable.

Waldport

The overall property was fine. Small things added up to mild frustration. In both of the bathrooms the electrical outlets did not work. One of the burners on the stove did not work. Only one small bedside lamp in the downstairs bedroom. We were told by the cleaners that the previous renter broke the front window closure and it could not be closed which was uncomfortable in the evenings. Kitchen was not well stocked with utensils, wine glasses (only one), no instructions on how to operate the gas BBQ (gas was left on by previous user) and dish washer. The windows were dirty and inhibited the view. Two final comments, the combination entry is too long and complicated. There is a lock box but it’s necessary to call the property manager to get the lock box combo and then the key did not work in the front door. We would not return to this property.

The beauty is the beach

The home would have been a lovely place to stay if there had not been so many neglected maintenance items we encountered. One of the window shades was broken and I reported it with pictures on the day we arrived (minor issue). There were no screens on any of the windows and they had obviously not been washed lately. The property was advertised as having a gas grill but on the first evening we discovered there was no propane tank or access to a gas line. Eliminating the opportunity to grill steaks. The master bath exhaust fan was not in working order and was reported (also a minor issue). We found very low water pressure at the kitchen sink and dishes were not getting clean in the dishwasher. We hand washed the dishes all week and reported the dishwasher problem (3 times) but maintenance didn’t come about the problem. I’m guessing it was because our stay was during a holiday week. The two sand dunes down to the beach were quite steep and difficult for older people (we are 75 and 80 years old) but easy enough for a teenager. The beach was beautiful and almost deserted. The bottom line is, I would not book this property again because of the numerous maintenance issues. The online pictures and descriptions are deceiving.
