You want quiet when you need to rest, but you also want to be close to restaurants, shopping, hiking, entertainment, and everything Palm Springs has to offer when you’re ready to get out and enjoy the city.

That’s what I love about The Desert Rose. It has the calm, relaxed feel of a retreat, while still being close to downtown and all the energy of Palm Springs. Whether you’re here for work, transition, rest, or a long getaway, I want guests to feel comfortable, welcomed, and truly at home.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with South Palm Springs because it offers the best balance of everything people come to the desert for—beautiful mountain views, peaceful surroundings, and easy access to the energy of downtown Palm Springs. Sandstone Villas has a relaxed resort feel that immediately helps you exhale. I love that you can spend the morning by the pool or hiking nearby trails, then be at great restaurants, coffee shops, live music, or shopping within minutes.

Indian Canyons Golf Resort is right up the street for golf lovers, and the beautiful Moorten Botanical Gardens is directly across the street, adding even more charm to the neighborhood. One of my favorite things is that you can also walk to the grocery store and grab coffee at Koffi, one of the best local coffee spots in town.

What I enjoy most is the calm. Even though you’re close to everything, the neighborhood still feels quiet, tucked away, and comfortable. There’s something special about the light in South Palm Springs, especially early mornings and sunset when the mountains glow. It feels like a true desert retreat while still being connected to the heart of the city.
