Such a cool place. Great location Owner was very responsive. We were surprised by the great hospitality as we found fruit and wine and bread and eggs etc. awesome. I would return for sure
This is a beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood located conveniently to Old Quebec City (an easy 10-minute walk!). The hosts are thoughtful and intentional and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. There is a great kitchen and huge dining room table where we enjoyed cooking and hanging out. The three bedrooms are comfortable and clean; having three bathrooms was quite nice, Our family of four stayed here for four nights in July, and we all loved it! The rooftop terrace is a great space to relax. The flowers are bright and beautiful. Highly recommend this property! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We were very happy with the proximity to everything. The home was well stocked, and our host was able to provide us with fantastic recommendations for dining. We enjoyed everything Quebec had to offer! We enjoyed our stay immensely!
We had a terrific stay! We loved the house, especially the rooftop, and we were able to walk so many places. The host had great local recommendations that we took advantage of, and staying here certainly made our visit more memorable. We look forward to comin back.
The hosts were fantastic - gave us great recommendations for off the beaten path local restaurants and things to do. The house is a cozy and charming antique. They kindly stocked the pantry with essentials for us. Walking to “town” was 15-20 mins, simple!

It was great to have you guys. Hope to catch you again soon. Don’t forget… boat rides and terace in the summer 😁
Three couples had a lovely 4 night stay - house was very comfortable and well equipped and location was perfect for an easy 15 minute walk into town. Highly recommend!!
Historical house in a great location. Hosts were great and provided refreshments and a few groceries to ease are arrival. House is located right across the bike trail and the St Lawrence River. Would definitely stay there again.
The Home was very charming and has a lot of character! We were very comfortable, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The location was a short walk to the Old City and very convenient. The hosts were very attentive and friendly. We loved our stay!
Kitchen setup was amazing and we really appreciated all the provisions: food, condiments, wine etc. It was very well equipped, well stocked and welcoming. We felt right at home . Every area was extremely clean. Heating was fine and we really enjoyed the wood stove, especially on the rainy days.
This is a beautiful antique home, high ceilings in the living area, wood beams etc. The communication with the owners was terrific. The pictures are accurate. The rooftop terrace was the best feature. The owners filled the kitchen with fruit, eggs, bacon, milk, coffee and wine, they went well beyond your typical owner. There are a few items you might want to be aware of.1. There are only 3 bathrooms, I believe the listing shows 3. Two of the bathrooms and showers the size of "cruise ship showers" and the third bathroom has a tub but no shower.2. There is not a grocery store within walking distance.3. Our weather was terrific so spent evenings up on the rooftop but also there are only two chairs cushioned chairs in living area. There is a large dining table and plenty of wood chairs. We enjoyed ourselves and felt safe walking to and from the lower town.
This was an outstanding place to stay for our visit to Quebec City. It's close, walking distance, but away from the fray in a friendly neighborhood along the river. Jean Patrick and Stephanie were charming hosts and did everything possible to make sure our visit was a good one. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend this place!
The place was charming and the location ideal! No need to drive anywhere, as everything is within walking distance! Across the way from the St Lawrence with a great bike/walking trail! Jean Patrick and Stephanie were the ideal hosts - we loved them!
Our family of six, two adults and four children, had a wonderful stay at this historic home close to Quebec City's center. The house was just as described and very well maintained. The location was perfect for walking to all of the attractions. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and breakfast foods and the rooftop terrace was the favorite hangout spot for the children. I would highly recommend a stay at Maison La Fille du Capitaine.

It was great having them at the house. Communicative and respectful. I would recomand them highly.
It's a fun house with fun and responsive owners. Loved the kitchen. Great rooftop terrace for morning coffee and sunset drinks. There is also a nice (free) public swimming pool a couple of blocks away that we loved to use after a day of walking around the city. Being right on the bus stop was very convenient.

The communication and contact was fluid and fun. We had a good time sharing tips and tricks to get around town. We hope they’d come back.
All was fantastic, Jean Patrick is a wonderful host. Some eggs, bacon, orange juice was left for our breakfast. The house is beautiful walking distance from le petit champlain, I would recommend this house for either a long stay or a small one!
We stayed a week and had a great time discovering Quebec City. We were .7 miles from lower old town and the funicular up to the upper old town. You could also take the steps up and they were just a few blocks away. The house was charming and you couldn’t ask for better hosts than Jean-Patrick and Stephanie. They were so welcoming and always a text or phone call away!
Five friends from the USA (55+) for five days. Great location, responsive generous hosts. The house is unusual in all the good ways, adding to the French historical experience. Well-Appointed kitchen, comfy beds, rooftop deck. More stairs than you might expect.
