Kapiti at The Coast is a beachfront 5 bedroom 2 bathroom Waikanae Beach holiday home. This spacious, modern beach getaway easily caters to families and couples, with direct access to the ocean beach plus Wi-Fi!

This multi level Waikanae Beach holiday home includes open plan living on the middle level. The spacious, light atmosphere makes an ideal haven to relax and unwind, with a fireplace for toasty winter retreats... For classic summer living, the easy outdoor flow is perfect for unwinding on the deck and admiring the stunning scenery! The peaceful and private backyard is an excellent spot for BBQ's and family games in the sun.

On the top level at this Waikanae Beach accommodation, bedroom 1 enjoys views to the bush and beach, and is fitted with a queen bed. On the ground level, bedroom 2 also includes a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has twin single beds, bedroom 4 is fitted with a queen bed, and bedroom 5 is fitted with a sofa bed. To complete your easy group set up, there is a bathroom both on the ground floor and on the middle floor.

Great Location and accommodation is ok

Large 1970s house. Tidy and good location to beach, cafes and 4 square shop. Reasonably happy with stay but there some things that need addressing.1) Upstairs Queen bed- the mattress springs gone on the right side and the mattress feels like you are sleeping on a slope. Definitely needs replacing 2) Lack of outdoor chairs on the deck 3) Pool cue sticks in garage has lost their tips and need to be replaced 4) outside furniture (table and chairs could do with a good clean or be replaced 5) BBQ - the gas flue underneath hot plate doesn’t work too well(only part of it is feeding the gas)

Amazing location

The house is in an amazing location, easy to reach from sh1. A short private path to the beach and stunning views from living room - trees obstruct some of the views. While the property is clean, tidy and spacious we were disappointed with the quality of the furniture- no comfortable sitting to sit and look at the view. No sofas or chairs to relax on and enjoy the view and company. The dining table was wobbly, chairs creaky and the beds springy and light on bedding. The oven - also easily unpredictable. The property is stunning but the comfort aspect let’s it down, one of the guests commented that at the price point you’d expect comfortable sofas and seating in the living space.

Great location, amazing seaviews and easy access to beach. Stayed week over school holidays with 6 young grandchildren (4-8 years), would have been better if oven heated to cook food properly. Stove top rings- erractic heat. Lovely and warm upstairs with fireplace, cool downstairs even with wall heaters. Light bedding provided, glad I had taken extra. Great laundry facilitied-washing machine and drier- well utilised

Amazing weekend

Our group was incredibly happy with this property, it had everything we needed, great location and more. Didn't feel at all cramped with ten people and had more than enough space for parking too. Highly recommend and would book again.

Amazing! This home, tucked away in the bush and trees had unobstructed views of the beach, plenty of space to spread out for 6 adults, and everything we needed for a 5 day get together.

Property has a good location but poorly managed

The home is in a lovely spot - the newly hired property manager was very friendly and worked hard to try and get things write. The big issue was BachCare who manages these properties. I am sure the owners have no idea how poorly their homes are maintained and how misrepresented they were. Heat did not work in all rooms. Water leak on the ceiling - Wi-Fi not working (and took over a day to fix). Path to ocean and back yard very over grown and difficult to use. BachCare staff rude and disorganized. I have been renting homes for 20 years for vacation and this is my first negative review. I stayed in three of BachCare’s managed properties and found the experiences to all be similar. It was the dull spot on a otherwise amazing vacation. The only area of expertise and concern they seem to have is in finding ways to add extra fees to your stay.

Great location to beach, cafe's/pubs, shops, expressway etc, house is great with lots of space as well as clean and tidy. Would be great if they could keep the path to beach cleared to make it easier to access the beach (as had elderly mother and aunty with us), although there is another access 3 doors down. Would love to stay again.

The property was in a great location and very roomy for 7 adults. Right on the beach with seas views made it a very enjoyable stay with a cafe bar and four square just a two minute walk up the road. A little more detail in the cleaning of the interior and exterior of the house could go a long way in presenting the house more professionally. It almost looked a bit unloved on the exterior and inside probably needs a good spring clean to freshen it up and bring it back to a pristine standard.

Gorgeous home in a stunning location. Great communication and easy in and out. One of the rooms was unuseable because of a dampness/smell issue but the Bachcare manager said that they’d look into it so hopefully that’s resolved. Would happily stay again.

Great place, private pathway directly to beach, with lot of room. The wood stove in the living room is awesome, but the downstairs rooms get chilly -- turn on the panel heaters right as you get in, and they'll be nice and toasty by bedtime. Very responsive caretaker -- she dropped off an extra duvet for a particularly clear and cold night!
