Before booking, guests should know this is a true basement apartment with very limited natural light. There are no outdoor views, only a small ceiling-height window in the living area and a basement-level bedroom window. We were also woken each morning by noise from above. The shower had no soap, very little water pressure, & drained slowly. The apartment itself was extremely clean, comfortable, & located in a lovely neighborhood where we felt safe walking. The bedroom was very comfortable, & the daybed & chaise in the living area were as well, but my husband and I couldn’t sit together while watching a movie. The temperature was pleasant during our May stay despite not having thermostat control. The bedroom could use a fan.My biggest disappointment was spending four days without a window to look out of. The weather was beautiful, & not having a sunny spot to relax when we were home was difficult. This is my fault, and I’ll pay closer attention to listing descriptions in the future. We found a couple of chairs being given away in the neighborhood and used them to sit outside & read and enjoy the sun near the side of the house. The chairs in the photo were not around during our visit. While the apartment served its purpose and was well-maintained, we felt the price was high at 850 for 3 night's. Since it was one of the few available properties in the area, I suppose that is to be expected.
