About this property

Dec 2025 & more, Top Floor 330° Ocean View, Huge Private Deck w/ Jetted Hot Tub

UNIT AVAILABLE
This unit is available December 8-12, 2025, for a 4-night minimum. It is next available in the second half of January 2026, but the specific 7 nights are not yet known. Then it is available June 8-15, 2026, and November 16-23, 2026.

Our unit is a 532-square foot studio located on the top (5th) floor of Building 43 at the end of the building with a sweeping 330-degree view of the ocean and surrounding grounds. You’ll see each day’s sunrise and sunset comfortably from the expansive partially-covered 754-square foot patio that surrounds the unit on two sides while sitting in your private Jacuzzi® jetted hot tub. No other units look down on the patio. There are only five units of this type at the entire resort, and none has the view and privacy that ours does.

Enjoy six swimming pools, numerous dining facilities and bars, an optional all-inclusive meal/drink plan, tennis courts with lines for pickleball, and an adjacent Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, all in fabulous weather at a beautiful gated resort that is only 10-15 minutes away from the excitement of town.

If you try to book a typical studio (without the larger patio or hot tub) directly from the resort or on any travel web site, you’ll pay $350-$550 per night. Book this extraordinary Super Junior unit from us and you’ll enjoy tremendous savings. More importantly, other units for rent can only be described in general terms because the owners don’t have a specific unit reserved for them. With these other owners you won’t know the building or unit you are assigned until you check in. Our unit is on the fifth floor of Building 43 as shown in our photographs.

Building 43 was opened in late 2015 and is entirely non-smoking, including on the outside patios and hallways. The unit includes one king-size bed (rollaway bed and/or crib can be added), a 48-inch flat screen HD TV with an HDMI and USB outlet, air conditioner controls, ceiling fan with variable speed control, safe, several dressers, closet, iron, ironing board, clock radio, two phones, and blackout drapes for the large sliding glass door and sliding window. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a 2-element electric stove, large 1000-watt microwave, 10.7 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer, blender, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, eating and serving utensils, glasses, measuring cups, cutting board, can/bottle opener, frying and casserole pans, bowls, salt and pepper shakers, storage containers, and a dining table with 4 chairs. The bathroom has a large shower, toilet, sink, lighted vanity mirror, and hair dryer. The patio has a dining table with 4 chairs and other chairs for relaxing in the sun.

There are several optional all-inclusive meal/drink plans available to purchase directly from Pueblo Bonito. WiFi service is available in the unit and throughout the resort for a fee through Pueblo Bonito. WiFi service is included in all of the all-inclusive plans.

You can shop at a number of nearby grocery stores (including Costco, Walmart, Fresko, Chedraui Selecto, Soriana, and others) and stock up on food and drink for your stay.

Daily maid service is available at no additional cost to exchange towels and linens and for cleaning. Towels for swimming are available at the six on-site pools. Sorry, absolutely no pets or other animals are allowed.

To appreciate the unique nature of this unit and to learn why Cabo San Lucas and the Sunset Beach resort are exquisite destinations, please read the entire description, view the photos, and read our reviews.

Because the owner will be occupying the unit both before and after the rental period, verification of negative COVID tests and being up-to-date with COVID vaccinations is required. A rental agreement will be used. The reservation will be confirmed after the owner has received all of the following: the down payment, the signed rental agreement, a copy of the unexpired driver license of every person in the rental party, and anything else specified in the rental agreement.

QUIVIRA LOS CABOS AND THE SUNSET BEACH RESORT
Cabo San Lucas is a vibrant and safe community that American, Canadian and other tourists have been enjoying for years. Many of the people you’ll interact with speak English and many businesses accept US dollars. Cabo San Lucas has wonderful weather and it is warm and dry virtually year-round.

Pueblo Bonito’s Sunset Beach resort is part of a 1,850-acre beachfront master-planned community called Quivira Los Cabos with luxury resorts, villas, condominiums, residences, restaurants, bars, pools, spas, beach clubs, and the Jack Nicklaus-designed Quivira golf course. It’s very close to all of the nightlife and fun in the sun of town, but worlds apart in its own gated paradise.

Sunset Beach provides complimentary shuttle bus service to its two sister resorts (Rosé and Los Cabos/Blanco) closer to downtown, which are located on the swimming Médano Beach on the Gulf of California. A free shuttle van also can take you to the adjacent Pueblo Bonito facilities and Quivira golf course. At the Médano Beach sister properties you can enjoy exclusive access to the private Pueblo Bonito roped-off section on the sand with lounge chairs and full waiter service. The all-inclusive meal plan extends to Rosé and Blanco or you can charge your food and drinks to your room while there. Taxis and Uber also provide transportation to area restaurants and activities.

SWIMMING AND WATER ACCESS
There are six large heated freeform pool areas with food and beverage service at each, including four swim-up restaurant/bars. The Sky Pool has an amazing view overlooking the entire resort, and the beachfront Main Pool has recreation activities. Some of the pools have separate jetted tubs. There’s an adults-only pool and a children’s pool.

The soft, clean sand at Sunset Beach is ideal for long walks, sunbathing, and volleyball. Due to the strong undertow in the Pacific Ocean, there is no swimming allowed in the adjacent ocean at this or at other resorts. Private covered lounge areas are available on the beach for a fee.

The prime swimming beach is Médano Beach on the Gulf of California. It’s only a 10-minute taxi ride or a 15-minute shuttle bus ride to its calm swimming waters and water sports. The free hourly Pueblo Bonito shuttle bus runs between Sunset Beach and the sister resorts Rosé and Blanco, where it’s a short walk to the nearby marina and downtown’s famous nightclubs – Cabo Wabo, El Squid Roe, and the Hard Rock Cafe – and many restaurants, bars, and activities.

SPA AND FITNESS
The Armonia spa is located on site and offers an extensive menu of European-inspired body treatments and massage therapies, complete salon services, his and her locker rooms and wet areas, and spa packages. There are tennis courts with lines for pickleball and a modern fitness center available to guests of owners. Excellent massages are available near Médano Beach at a much lower cost.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere in our Building 43, including in the units or on the outdoor patios and hallways. The same no-smoking rules also apply to the adjacent Buildings 40, 41, and 42, the pool next to Buildings 40 and 41, and the adjacent Japanese restaurant Tazuna.

DINING
There are numerous places on site for food and beverage, from formal to casual. Guests also have access to the restaurants at Pueblo Bonito’s adjacent facilities and well as at their sister properties Rosé and Blanco, located closer to town via a free shuttle bus. A food court opened at Sunset Beach in December 2016 and a sports bar opened in October 2018. Including the bars/grills at the pools and on the beach, you can eat or drink at more than two dozen places and charge to your room. Of course, with the kitchen in the unit, you can bring in your own food and beverages and eat and drink at your convenience and at a lower cost.

Just 10 minutes away is downtown Cabo San Lucas. Here you’ll find bustling shopping areas, dozens of restaurants, cantinas and nightclubs, a marina, and scores of tours, activities, and attractions.

There is a mini-market and a deli on site for stocking your kitchen with food and beverages. For larger and less expensive food purchases, you are only a 15-minute taxi or local bus drive to the nearest grocery stores, including Costco and Walmart.

You can add the optional all-inclusive meal/drink plan after your reservation has been confirmed. Payment must be made directly to Pueblo Bonito. For best pricing, call and pay prior to your scheduled arrival date. The meal plan must cover all guests staying in the same unit. The minimum purchase is three consecutive days. With your meal plan also comes WiFi access that normally requires a separate fee.

GOLF
The Jack Nicklaus-designed Quivira Golf Course opened in December 2014 and is located on Pueblo Bonito’s property adjacent to Sunset Beach. Guests of owners may play the private Quivira course. More than a dozen other championship golf courses line the Los Cabos corridor from Cabo San Lucas to San José del Cabo.

SHOPPING
Adjacent to the marina in Cabo San Lucas is Puerto Paraiso mall, a three-level indoor shopping mall and the adjacent Luxury Avenue. There you’ll find jewelry, clothing, dining, entertainment, souvenirs, one of two casinos in town, and a movie theater. Patio Los Cabos is a two-level mall north of town with a large second-floor food court and a movie theater.

RECREATION
Nearby activities include whale-watching (generally December to March), ATV rentals, golfing, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, dolphin swims, snorkeling, parasailing, jet-skiing, boating, swimming, tennis, pickleball, shopping, dining, and more. At both shopping malls described above are movie theaters that show some movies in English.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
We will arrange a pre-arrival telephone call to orient you to Cabo San Lucas, Sunset Beach, our unit, getting through the airport, getting around town, optional amenities, etc.

Heavenly week!

We spent 8 days in this magical place! I highly recommend this property! There is no better, more relaxing, well maintained property! The view, sunrise, sunset is extraordinary! We have used VRBO for years but in all that time, we have never worked with an owner whom is as receptive and communicative as Murray! Every question was answered in depth! His support when we arrived to make sure we had all that we needed was superior! We will definitely come again! Thank you Murray!

A little bit of heaven here on earth:)

We have been to this place the last two years in December and we are looking forward to going again in December 2019:) The view, although well pictured in this listing does NOT look nearly as spectacular as it really is. We really only slept in the condo, the deck was perfect to actually live on:) The actual condo, however, will more than meet all your needs; cooking, nice bathroom and bed:) We loved walking the entire property and making use of the nice lobby and bar over-looking the water. We truly cannot say enough about how nice this place is! Once you've been there, you'll have a hard time going any place else!

Fantastic unit - Incredible Views!!

Murray was a fantastic host. From my initial contact all the way thru a series of questions, Murray took the time to answer every question in detail including even setting up a call for us to talk live and ask questions and get suggestions. We'd been to Cabo a few times in the past but not since about 2012 so we knew things had changed. The property and unit is completely as described and the ocean views are incredible. I believe we were the first or second couple to stay in the unit (its brand new) and it was apparent in a few situations. The water pressure from the shower head is 5x that of normal and made it painful on the face and skin, the center of the mattress had a high hump which made sleeping a bit awkward and the hot tub is not yet covered so it doesn't get above 95 degrees (Murray gave us heads up on the tub). Had it not been for these few things I'd rate the unit a 5+! I let Murray know of our experience and he immediately reached out to the property to get the items fixed so I would imagine by time of this writing they've already been taken care of - we visited 1/28 - 2/2. Outside of these few issues we really enjoyed our stay and the unit. The kitchenette comes in handy and the huge deck is absolutely incredible for whale watching and sunsets! We plan to return to Cabo in the next 12 months and will certainly consider renting from Murray again.

Wow!

This place is incredible. The pictures and description just can’t do it justice. Having the huge private balcony with our own Jacuzzi, complete privacy, and gorgeous panoramic views made the trip for us! As the other review described, the unit is at one end of the property, on the top floor. There is absolutely nothing to block your view and no one to oversee or overhear you while you are enjoying the balcony. I can’t imagine that there is any better unit on the whole property. The unit is new, tastefully designed, and impeccably clean. The view has it all—the beautiful resort to the East, the uninterrupted ocean to the South, and the mountains to the West. You can watch both the sunrise and the sunset from the balcony. The sunsets are incredible! Additionally, the property is just beautiful and has everything you could want on-site. The overwhelming flowers are stunning and there is a view of the ocean pretty much anywhere on the property. There were some reviews of Sunset Beach (the property, not this unit) complaining of the prices for food and drinks, but we found them quite reasonable. We did not elect the all-inclusive option. We ate at a couple of the bars on the property and ordered room service several times. Every meal we got at Sunset Beach was actually much less expensive than the meals we got in town. And the deli on the property has a better selection of snacks, beers, and drinks than the local Wal-Mart. Another perk of the property for anyone looking to rent a car is there is free self-parking on site. This property is not on a swimmable beach, but we actually found this to be a huge perk. The beach along the property is completely deserted and quite at all times. You can sit and watch the waves or walk along the beach in complete peace. We didn’t even know how good we had it until we spent a day at the swimmable beach. The swimmable beach is quite crowded and lined with vendors trying to sell jet ski rides, charm bracelets, and sombreros, and there is competing music blaring from all the hotels lining the beach. It was so nice to have a little piece of beach to ourselves over at Sunset Beach. Even if you can’t get in the water, it’s just beautiful and so relaxing to listen to the waves crashing. Murray was fantastic to rent from. We were a little wary of this listing because there were no reviews at the time we booked it. But Murray was so responsive to our email inquiries, we decided to go for.

Amazing Private Patio With Awesome Views ... Can't Wait To Go Back!

We have stayed at Sunset Beach a few times and are convinced that this is the best unit at the resort. This is our second time staying in this particular unit. The view from the private patio is perfect for watching sunsets (and whales) and the hot tub is an added bonus. This corner unit has a great central location, as we mainly hang out at the main pool during the day and go to the Market at night. The sushi restaurant, Tazuna, is conveniently located right downstairs as well. On weekends, when the main pool gets busier, we like to hang out at the quieter pool that is conveniently right outside the villa this unit is located in. The owner, Murray, is very easy to work with, provides excellent communication and gives detailed instructions and suggestions that will make sure stay more enjoyable. We have already booked our next trip and cannot wait!

Great Place, Terrific View

The Pueblo Bonito Resort is a spectacular place. This unit has a stunning view from the giant terrace. As much as there is to do at the resort, you could spend the whole time on the terrace. We saw whales and lots of ships, from cruise ships to fishing boats. Spectacular sunsets. Great Jacuzzi on the terrace too. The apartment is new, so everything is in perfect working order. The pictures don't do the location justice. if you want to go into Cabo there is a shuttle every hour that will take you to the sister properties. Stay here if you can. The sushi restaurant down stairs from this apartment was very good and reasonably priced. The owner was really great. Explained everything about the apartment and the resort.

Couldn’t Have Been Any Better!

Our first time in Cabo San Lucas was so much fun! Our 5-night stay at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort was absolutely wonderful; it couldn’t have been any better. Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach can be described as a luxurious hacienda-style village that you’d never want to leave. Built upon a hillside facing the Pacific Coast, you can enjoy the ocean-view while lying on the beach, dining at various restaurants, or sipping mango smoothies at the sky-pool on top of the mountain. Our unit at the resort was amazing. Because of the top-floor and ocean-front location of our unit, we had a lot of privacy. The king bed was very comfortable, allowing for us to fall asleep very easily. We especially enjoyed the 270-degree view of the ocean from our balcony, where we would enjoy the sunset while relaxing in the Jacuzzi hot tub. Occasionally, we would order room service that we could enjoy at the dining table on the balcony. When we weren’t in our unit, we spent time walking along the beach and exploring the wonders of the resort. Though there are golf carts that are continuously transporting guests throughout, we recommend taking the time to explore on foot, it’s quite an adventure and you can take pictures from many angles. An evening stroll through the resort has its own special charm. Prior to our stay, we purchased WiFi ($6/day for up to four devices). The speed was adequate enough to allow us to carry on our typical activities (e.g. email, web browsing, iMessage). The resort offers a free shuttle that takes you to the sister resorts at Medano beach where the water activities are located. We did the glass bottom boat tour where we saw the Arch, fish, sea lions, Lover’s Beach, and Divorce Beach. The owners provided excellent customer service; they provided us with much information in advance, including a phone orientation session, and answered all of our questions so we felt very well prepared for our trip. They are friendly and get back to you right away if you have any questions. The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout, and amenities. The property was very clean and well maintained and everyone there is friendly, helpful, and professional. If you are thinking about visiting, we highly recommend staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort. The resort and this specific unit come with our highest recommendation to our family/friends and anyone else interested in visiting. We hope to come back again!

Underrated at 5-stars

The listing description for this unit is entirely accurate, but believe me when I suggest the words and pictures can't do justice to the views and amenities you'll experience. This unit is unique among the many choices at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. It has an unobstructed view of the ocean and entire resort property. Being on the top floor of the building provides extra privacy when enjoying the hot tub not afforded with other lower floor units of the same design. The staff, amenities and services provided at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach were top-notch. The restaurants offered an excellent range of cuisine and dining environments. One recommendation I would make is to consider the all-inclusive meal and beverage package for some (3 day minimum) or all of your stay. The cost make sense if you purchase this program BEFORE your arrival. The price is double if you purchase it on or after your arrival. Downtown Cabo offered plenty of great daytime activities and night life if you're feeling adventurous. Fishing, zip-lining, shopping, ATV's, whale watching, golf, wave-runners, etc. are just a few of the activities available. In addition, Sunset Beach has a few sister resorts (we visited Rose and Blanco) that offer full reciprocity on activities, amenities and dining should you choose to check them out. The owner of this unit was extremely helpful and responsive in the weeks leading up to my trip. He took the time to provide many details via email and phone that made my trip to Cabo more enjoyable. I've already recommended this trip and unit to several friends and family based on my experience. I'll definitely be going back and plan to rebook this unit base on my experience with both the owner and the resort.

About the host

My wife and I started coming to Cabo San Lucas in 2012. When we found Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in 2014, we fell in love right away. We purchased several weeks in this unit when we visited in December 2015 and more in other units later. We spend the winters here while renting it out from time to time. We hope you enjoy Cabo San Lucas and Sunset Beach as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We enjoy the warmth of Cabo San Lucas and Sunset Beach - both the warmth of the weather and the warmth of the people. You don't need to speak Spanish, although it helps and does show a willingness to be a gracious guest in Mexico. You also don't need to exchange your currency because many businesses will convert your bill to US dollars. The employees at Sunset Beach are friendly and helpful, especially when you take the time to learn their names and try out your Spanish language skills. And the facility and town is very safe.

We enjoy taking advantage of the in-room kitchenette for preparing and cooking most of our meals for ourselves and for entertaining guests. Costco, Walmart and other grocery stores are a short taxi- or bus-ride away and there is a convenience store on-site if you run out of items. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars on the property and in town to satisfy all desires.
