Why they chose this property
7 Henderson Lane is mid 19th-century farmhouse, that's built in the traditional Maine style. It's sits high on a bluff overlooking the unspoiled Georges River and is ideal for pets, good sized families and events of up to 20.
The 2.2 acre property has three main buildings:
1) A 7-bedroom, two-floor, 3,000 square-foot home that can sleep 8 to 12, depending on how rooms are shared.
2) A fully heated 24' x 26' foot open studio space. It is upstairs in the large barn to the south of the main building.

What makes this property unique
We've done this long enough to know, that every booking is unique. And we absolutely would love to hear hear your ideas for a reunion, event, or reception.
But there several general themes to keep in mind:
1) In these complex times, be prepared to exchange additional rental agreements, liability waivers, and disclosures. We absolutely respect your privacy, but usually that means sharing direct contact information.
2) We love boats and boating families. But depending on the situation, we may need the vessel model, proof of insurance, and brief marine resume. Additional fees and paperwork may apply.
3) When considering a reception or retreat please understand that:
* We cannot host actual wedding ceremonies. It's simply not logistically possible to have the nuptials on the property. We can however connect you to top-quality transportation to nearby houses of worship, outdoor venues, and even remote islands.
We can get you direct references for how magical those ceremonies can be.
* We have to approve vendors. We understand that the meal, decor and details are what make every reception what it is. But the complexities involved in working in our property require that all cooks, florists and support staff meet standards for insurance, work safety, and best practices. It's not complex, but we do have to submit any potential vendor for approval. We would be happy to recommend options, if you're looking.
* We cannot host amplified music. You will be inhabiting an intimate location where sound travels far. Really far. While we love acoustic music played indoors in the home or studio, amplified music is not something to plan for. Remember, if things get too noisy, Deputy Smith will absolutely knock on the door.
And he will alter your experience. Definitely.
Again, we look forward to chatting with you about your needs. We love hosting the right events!
