Wonderful family adventure

We enjoyed this area and the villa immensely, there were beaches and villages in every direction and endless places to explore. The villa was clean and spacious and beautiful - beautiful views and a beautiful space. We would come here again and again and again.

We were lucky enough to be in this magnificent house while the other accommodations in the complex were not occupied. We were alone in the world! A very, very nice week!

Mam and dads getaway

This villa is absolutely beautiful. Its immaculate and has just about everything you could need. All windows have mozzy nets and also an option to pull electric shutters down to keep it cool or stop sunlight on a morning. A welcome pack was there on arrival. Kym the manager was a godsend, turning up with cream for my brother in laws sunburn, bringing me a bottle of wine for my nerves on driving up the steep drive, assisting with directing a car rental company coming to swap our car. Shes worth her weight in gold, nothing was too much trouble for her. The area is lovely with beautiful beaches, villages, gorges etc to visit. Driving in Crete isnt bad so easy to get around. A car is essential as I dont think theres shops or tavernas walking distance, esp in the heat of summer. I managed to drive the steep drive in 1st gear once and then left it to my brother in law, so I would recommend someone who doesnt fi d slopes an issue. Kym does it all the time and assures me 1st time is worst and after that its easy. We had an amazing time and cant recommend it enough. Anyone booking should know that the soap powder for dishwasher Nd wash maach provided. Cupboard had more than enough sun creams and pool towels also provided.

Restful holiday in beautiful setting, all the mod cons

Property manager Kym was hugely helpful and very quick to respond, with regular pool cleans and linen changes. E.g. we had a broken switch at one point and she arranged for it to be fixed in <24 hrs. She advised on a trip to the docs and even arranged a meal out for us (at the excellent Avra restaurant in Ammoudi). Superstar.

Tolles Appartement, super Urlaub

Es war ein Urlaub, wie man in sich vorstellt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber im Vorfeld war sehr hilfreich, half uns auch, sehr gute Lokale und Besuchsziele problemlos zu finden. Die Anlage ist genauso schön, wie sie auch in den Bildern dargestellt wird. Frau Kym vor Ort war immer hilfreich, das Objekt sehr gepflegt und sauber! Einzig die Zufahrt könnte für manchen ungeübten Mopedfahrer eventuell ein Problem sein, für uns war's keines, wir liehen uns für die 14 Tage 2 Roller (300ccm) aus und erkundeten die traumhafte Gegend. Kurzum, schöner, problemloser Urlaub, der keine Wünsche offenließ!

Urlaub auf Kreta

Sehr schönes Objekt mit eigenem Pool mit Meer-und Bergblick. Die Ausstattung der Villa lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern und Kym vor Ort war super. Alle wichtigen Informationen kamen rechtzeitig. Empfehlenswert für einen Urlaub in der Nähe von Agios Nicolaos. David thank you very much for this unforgetable week on Crete.

Why they chose this property

It offers an escape to one the most beautiful parts of Greece. The villa is set on a hill overlooking the Bay of Mirabello and the foothills of the Dikti mountains in northeastern Crete. It is spacious and modern and a few minutes' drive from superb beaches and the charming town of Agios Nikolaos. You can chill out at the pool, enjoy barbecue and beer evenings on the terrace, marvel at the splendour of the Cretan landscape in the setting sun and then savour the twinkling night sky, an astronomer's dream, as you contemplate the day spent and the one to come. Villa Poppy is the perfect base for exploring the coastline of this magnificent bay, the Minoan ruins, the unspoilt mountain villages and the Lasithi Plateau with its windmills and soaring eagles. It is only an hour's easy drive from Heraklion.
