Communication with Tom before and during our stay was first class, giving plenty of ideas where to visit with our two dogs. The house was gorgeous and the garden for the dogs the biggest they have ever had, they loved it. The village, walking distance, had everything we needed, a bar, restaurant, small supermarket, boulangerie and boucherie, top notch! Larger towns of La Chataigneraie and Chantonnay within a 20 minute drive for larger supermarkets and more restaurants and bars plus the beautiful Atlantic coast in an hour and 10 minutes, just perfect for what we wanted. Darryl and Charmian who looked after the house were close by if needed and so friendly. The house had everything we needed (I particularly like that there is a huge bath as well as shower) to make this our best stay so far in France and the beautiful Vendee region highly recommended if you want to live like a local and immerse yourself in the local community, which we did thanks Tom for sharing your lovely holiday home with us, it was "tout simplement parfait"

Large, well equipped house in generous grounds.

We very much enjoyed staying in Le Paradis. It is very spacious and ideal for families with children. We ate all our meals on the covered terrace which is shaded virtually all day. The children (and adults) loved the pool and spent many hours riding bikes around the garden. We especially liked walking up to the bakery every morning to buy fresh croissants and bread for breakfast. The house is well located for visits to the coast and exploring some of the attractive villages nearby.

Fantastic property with every luxury and a great village and locality

The house has everything you could want, is very clean and comfortable and has loads of space both inside and out. Lovely neighbours, great garden with nice pool. The weather was fantastic while we were there. There is everything you need in the local village including a great boulangerie, butcher, bar and restaurant and it is literally a 1 minute drive or 5 minutes walk. Bikes at the house are fine for a trek with loads of routes around to explore. Beds and sitting and dining areas were really comfortable and shower was great Owners really friendly and helpful as were the neighbours. WiFi was OK but not superfast and all mod cons were in the house including computer, stereo, washing machine and even a piano, dart board and air hockey table Will be back again as lots to do in the area including some lovely towns and restaurants, Puy du Fou (amazing and kids loved it) and nice beaches. Thanks for a great stay

La maison correspond à la description et nous avons passé un bon séjour.Nous étions dans une période où la température extérieure était fraiche et à l'intérieur de la maison il ne faisait pas chaud non plus, j'ai téléphoné aux personnes qui s'occupent du gîte, ils sont venus très rapidement et nous avons constaté que le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas. Le circulateur et la vanne 4 voies sont fortement grippés et dans ces conditions l'eau du chauffage ne peut pas circuler dans les canalisations. Nous avons donc passé 5 soirées avec les polaires sur le dos. C'est dommage car le site est très agréable. Une remise en état s'impose.J. Charpentier

Bonjour Jacques, je suis tellement triste de lire cet avis, je ne savais pas qu'il y avait un problème avec le chauffage jusqu'à ce que je lise ton avis tout à l'heure. Mes sincères excuses, je comprends que cela soit très décevant pour vous et je vous contacterai directement pour tenter de compenser ce désagrément. Le chauffage a été testé deux semaines avant votre arrivée et fonctionnait bien. Les voisins qui s'occupent de notre maison pour nous lorsque nous ne sommes pas là ont immédiatement contacté deux plombiers lorsque vous avez signalé le problème et ils n'ont pu les faire venir qu'après votre départ. La pompe à chaleur s'est grippée et a dû être remplacée, mais seulement dans les derniers jours après votre départ. Je suis heureux que l'eau chaude n'ait pas été affectée, mais elle n'est toujours pas suffisante, désolé. Ils ne m'ont pas informé du problème, j'aurais aimé qu'ils le fassent, et votre avis est le premier dont j'ai entendu parler. Je ne peux que m'excuser à nouveau et je vous contacterai sous peu

Très bel endroit calme, en pleine nature et pas loin de lieux à visiter. Île de Ré, Puy du fou, plages du sable d'olonnes... Idéal avec notre border collie.

Vacances en familles dans une maison calme et spacieuse

Ma famille et moi même avons passé un agréable séjour dans une grande maison très agréable à vivre. Elle est très bien agencée avec un espace de vie important alors que nous étions 8 personnes. Il y a beaucoup d'oiseaux et leurs chants égayaient nos journées. Il i ya beaucoup de sites à visiter comme la venise verte que je vous recommande et surtout le Puy du fou,plus beau parc du monde à seulement 20 à 30 mn de la maison. Merci Tom

nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances. La maison est très agréable et fraiche ce qui a été appréciable vu la chaleur de cette année. Le jardin est immense pour les enfants c'est super. Et à moins d'une heure de la maison on peut visiter la région .Tom est à l'écoute de tout problème .merci

Es war wundervoll

Lieber Tom, Wir hatten so schöne 14 Tage in deinem Haus. Begonnen mit der Kommunikation vorher, mit dir, der ich immer sehr Dankbar war (corona Komplikationen) hatten wir in deinem tollen Feriendomizil einen perfekten Urlaub. Alles war da, und wie beschrieben. Das Grundstück drum herum riesig und wirklich sooo schön! Wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Das Haus als Ausgangspunkt genutzt für viele Ausflüge in jede Richtung. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Danke!

Je suis très triste d'apprendre que tout n'était pas parfait pour vous et que le temps n'était pas bon pour votre visite. En réponse à vos commentaires: Je vous ai envoyé un e-mail avec tous les détails, les directions et les informations sur les choses à faire et à voir et les recommandations pour la région bien avant votre visite. Je ne laisse pas de lettre de bienvenue, mais plutôt un courrier électronique d'avance. Nous avons également préparé le berceau et d’autres articles pour le jeune bébé comme demandé, ce qui, j’espère, vous satisfait Notre maison est clairement annoncée comme ayant une télévision uniquement pour les DVD et une connexion à un équipement tel que vos téléphones portables ou vos tablettes et qu’aucune chaîne de télévision n’est fournie. La télévision est là et fonctionne parfaitement pour ces utilisations. Je suis surpris d'entendre parler de problèmes avec l'eau chaude. Nous étions à la maison pour nos vacances deux semaines avant votre visite et cela fonctionnait parfaitement. J'ai vérifié auprès des visiteurs qui sont restés deux semaines après votre départ et ils n'ont eu aucun problème d'eau. Il est regrettable que vous ne m'ayez pas contacté pour me signaler un problème pendant que vous y étiez. J'aurais organisé une visite dans l'heure pour vous aider. J'ai fourni des détails par téléphone et par courrier électronique pour moi-même et j'ai dit de me contacter s'il y avait des questions ou quelque chose que je pourrais aider avec. Je suis toujours disponible immédiatement pour tout problème. Je n'ai pas été contacté à propos d'un problème. En dehors de ces choses, j'espère que vous avez apprécié tout le reste de notre maison et passé une agréable visite. Cordialement, Tom

If you want complete peace grab this gem

Beautiful large family home just outside a small sleepy village if you were so inclined you could see no one for a week but within a short drive there are so many tourist attractions and beautiful rural villages . An ability to speak a little French is useful as this is rural France not a tourist resort

Spacious property set in a vast garden.

Great property with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Loved the pool to cool down ! Owners were very helpful and always on hand to answer any questions. Very nice quiet village location, great village shops within walking distance.
